  • you have an awesome camp ! ya did one hell of a job puttin' it all together. I like your use of second hand materials. You obviously put a lot of thought into your whole camp. There's only one minor problem.......you need to spend more time there ; )

    keep up the great work

    Tim

  • @MTNMANTIM Haha thank you. I sure do spend a LOT of time there!

  • interesting videos...what kind of wood is that you are using ?

  • like the stair stringer table!! way to make use of all materials and no waste :)

  • @tsdub Thank you man!

  • I love the way you prepare it, i think it is better you have a wall to cover your location. it is too open.

  • @moistfaucet Nothing I can do about it. People will either see my space or the wall, it doesn't make that big of a difference.

  • Nice little set up you have but too close to the stagnant water would probably attract moskitos.

  • @vdcg2010 The water isn't very stagnant, it's a flowing creek. Anywhere you go where I live there's going to be mosquitoes so you just kind of have to get over it.

  • @BraveTheWilds You should do another Update man! I would love to see it now! Keep it up

  • Awesome job looks so fun.

  • REALLY COOL!

  • Hey nice vid man my friend, brother and I have started making a shelter it is very nice and can fit 5 people in it.But what you have done is REMARKABLE and Amazing Great work and I admire what you have done

  • I cracked up when that camera fell haha but this awesome keep at it, motivates me to do something like this.

  • Subscribed :D

  • I laughed when your camera fell haha good vid though.

  • i thought i saw bear

  • looks very relaxing.. I love the outdoor.

  • can i ask how far do u think you are from civilization/ main roads?

  • very nice... however, you might want to place a 2x4 on both sides of your draw bridge...looks a lil shaky.

  • @brooke14100 Replaced those with 2x6s

  • i am way jealous, nice job

  • I gave ya thumbs up , I lived in a space like this for 2 years , a metal wire is good to have to keep food from critters - if you put up a tent cover the ground with ant poison - good luck :) QC

  • Where do u put the xbox

  • Cool

  • Well done!!!

  • How did u get the property? Here in sweden, we are free to do these things whereever we want x)

  • try 4x4 for the drawbridge .... treat it and use pipe for the base... the wood in dirt will rot quick if not treated

  • Looks fun! Nice job.

  • You might be interested in learning some tried and true water purification methods before drinking that water. Boiling won't remove toxic chemicals, it will concentrate them. There are numerous how-to videos on the subject here on youtube.

  • great camp!

  • I hope you boil your "well" water before you drink it! Great job on everything.

  • That's really amazing. GREAT JOB I wish I had a property in the woods where I could do this too. Keep working hard on it! :))) Loving it already *envious*

  • Wery Nice. You have a good and healthy hobby. Keep it up.

  • @pkbjorn35 Thanks man. Please watch my update video on it, it looks a lot better. Also check out the overnighter I did inside the massive hut I built and give me your feedback on that. I think you would like that

  • 3:31 fail

  • 1 question is that below the water line if that creek is running high?

  • @bayfly12 In a normal flood yes, about every 5 years it washes out the place. But everything stays.

  • awsome set up

  • What is the drawbridge for? Am I missing something?

  • @kerensasdad Neighbors. They don't like crossing the creek and I don't want them at my area.

  • that's a awesome set up man! keep up the good work!!

  • your videos are excellent! you are ready for everything. where ya'll from? (be vague if ya want).

keep doing what you do brother!

  • nice

  • I get the feeling that you would survive in relative comfort where many of would simply perish.

  • Great camp site, you did a good job.

  • great job on your personal space. it looks like boys paridise.

  • Very nice!

  • great job!!!

  • WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR WOOD STORE WHEN IT RAINS? WAIT YOU DON'T HAVE A FIRE!????? WHEN DOES YOUR LETTER BOX GET MAIL? OR POST A COMMENT.

  • tarp ypour fire wood keep it dry

  • nice one

  • ever though about build some kind of tree house?

  • @colemilla14 There's one about 50 feet up higher on the hill. Also check out my 12/15/11 update, it looks quite a bit better and I've even did some more upgrades since then, wait about another week and I will have a video of the hut up for all of you.

  • How did you make that:O? That is amazing!

  • @ConaHulston Lots of hard work. I actually just spent all day building a hut/cabin where the spider shelter used to be. I'll be finishing it up tomorrow and hopefully get a video out soon enough.

  • LMAO...LOVED the Camera fall in slo-mo.

  • No Basement, No Big Screen, C'mon...

  • @ianrsigel Sorry, I'll have a new video posted soon about my brand new shelter. 10x10 big enough for 3 people and completely walled and roofed in. Basically a cabin!

  • Great camp site you got there man, my only issue would be if the creek rises it could flush out your camp site, you probably could of picked a better location but I say that it isn't a good camp site, I enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.

  • @atruepatriot92 Thanks for the input, check out the 12/15 updated if you're interested. The creek has flooded before. It was about a foot and half of water above the banks, nothing floated away or even attempted to. I think everything heavy enough it will stay. Just a little shelter repair and I should be just fine. Thanks for watching.

  • All cool until you have a flash flood in a matter of minutes and wipes your camp out.

  • @moonpie859 Already had that bro, 80 foot wide creek, everything stayed.

  • cool, looks like my grand mom pig yard.

  • Cool! How old r u?

  • @larrydav1d 14

  • @BraveTheWilds dude are u a shtf prepper dear god ur kick ass

  • @BraveTheWilds dope dude totally dope

  • Wow, great video. A couple of questions: what do you do for food safety? Any problem with bears or smaller critters where you live. Is your sleeping shelter made entirely of mulch? Did you simply dig down for your well? Do you treat your water before drinking? Hope to see more...

  • @Tboom49 Food Safety: I don't keep food down there at all, the only animals around my area are squirrel, fox, raccoon, and possum. I have yet to see one in the daylight besides squirrel. Shelter: Yes it is a skeleton of sticks and then leaves, it's been taken down and replaced. Give me a week or two and I will have an update of the personal space, it looks a lot better now. Yes I just dug down for my well and of course I treat it before drinking it.

  • Thats awesome! I used to do stuff just like that growing up. Great looking spot!

  • no problem your vids are awsome just a suggestion you should get this knife called the becker bk2 i have a review on my channel if you want to check out im looking forward to your next vids

    muk (nickname)

  • @campinggear1 I bought one about 2 or 3 months ago. I used it for a little bit. After batoning with it twice the powder coating came right off. I thought the blade was too short for good chopping and too thick for lighter work. Good survival knife, but it doesn't beat a hatchet and knife combo in my opinion. Thanks for the suggestion, I didn't think it was that great.

    -Kenny

  • @BraveTheWilds well everybody has their opinions and i respect that , its normal for knives with coating to come off thought do you think you can make a vid with you hatchet and knife combo . another thing that may help is putting a convex edge on the bk2 maybe if you use it a bit more you may like it..

  • @campinggear1 I'm actually getting Dave Canterbury's Pathfinder Knife soon. Give me a while for it to come in the mail and I'll do a quick review.

  • @BraveTheWilds WHICH ONE PSLK 1

  • @campinggear1 Yes

  • your so lucky you have all that land and nice campsite it looks really good

  • @campinggear1 Thanks man. It's pretty close to my house. It's actually been a long time since I've done an update on the campsite. I'm in the middle of building a deck about 6 feet off the ground down there right now. It will be done in a week or two and I'll post an update video on it. Thanks for your support.

    -Kenny

  • Nice campsite you have done a great job. Keep working it. It can only get better.

    Joe-R

  • @TheXR750 Thanks! I am working on a huge project right now. Me and a friend are building a 7 foot by 6 foot deck that 6 feet of the ground out of some old swing set lumber. I've gotten all the post and joists up over the last two days. Hopefully by the end of the next weekend the flooring, railing, and roofing will be done as well. Stay tuned. Thanks for your support!
