  • this makes me cry. my mom and dad makes me and my siblings listen to songs like this and watch Fred Astaire and ginger rogers and i am happy that they do. i showed this to a girl in my class and she started to cry and say that this is so much more beautiful then Justin Beiber, and she loves him.

  • I love this songI I danced this song with my husband at my wedding day :)

  • My god,why do people compare versions of a song and fight over who does it the best like

it's some kind of war? Please learn to listen and appreciate each performer's contribution

on it's own.The artists themselves would not enjoy this constant bickering, profanity, and

insults to their fellows or among the users of these forums. What on earth is happening to

our society? This kind of behaviour is disrespectful and destructive. It makes me glad I'm

    only visiting.

  • I love this song! It is so peaceful and relaxing.

Falco1996, if you were born in that generation you would have had your mouth washed with soap for saying, "dammit".

  • Frank Sinatra,Eterno!

  • A lot of singers have done this song, but no one can compare to Frankie Blue Eyes!!!!

  • Im from Mexico and i love this song it makes me feel in peace

  • I can't think of a more comforting sound than this mans voice. I'm only 14 and he lived before me, but when I feel lonely i just listen to my friend Frank and all is well again :)

  • the voice and the most beautiful song in the world with edith piaf "la vie en rose ".

  • creo recordar..que entonces dijiste...algo me aleja de ti...

  • why does this song always remind me of Winnie the pooh

  • @smallmak5 :) o my god!really???? :))) if winnie pooh sing it...i want to know when! :D

  • Sinatra really did make a song written by someone else and just made it his own and perfected it in my eyes he was the king of his sort and type a fantastic voice and a great man

  • Henry Mancini .... thanks

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I dedicate this song to Myra Kraft, a loving wife, mother, and She managed the Robert and Myra Kraft Family Foundation and was president of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, which contributed millions of dollars to charities in the United States and Israel. From 1995-2002 she was the first woman to chair the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. For the past two years she was chair of the board of directors of United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley.

    Rest in Peace, Myra..

  • This was my Grandpa's favorite song, I miss him <3

  • it might be some mistake of mine, but in my album "My Way"(from 1969) "Moon River" is not contained. I say this because I thought I didn't have the song but got all exited because I knew I got that album.

Anyway this is a great version of this song, the best I've heard so far. Please don't shame the song by flaming in these comments.

  • I think this is brilliant - mind you there are a great number of people who really could do a top version of it. To me Freddie Mercury was the best singer though I must say I wish The Beatles had of considered recording this when they did the White album. I'd put Paul on vocals. Sir GeorgeMartin producing.( One of my fave songs is Goodnight by Beatles ( that will be my funeral song) . Amazing orchestration etc. . Frank - well this brilliant apprecite it for what it is. Perfection

  • nope!!!..like andy version better!!!....

  • Why can't modern musicians seem to make music like this anymore?

  • Stop mention that bitch name audrey hepburn, how dare you compare that bitch to this 2 great name, great singers of all time. Frank Sinatra and Andy Williams has their own wonderful version with different way, but hepburn shit has nothing. she couldn't sing. Go out off my sight !!!!

  • @TheFerrnandezz

I adore Frankie (see my channel) but I like this song performed by Audrey Herburn more. Why do you insult her? This is unfair. She was the first singer and sang delightfully.

  • @TheFerrnandezz why do you call her bitch? there is no need to insult Audrey, even if you dislike her, that is just very rude and mean.

  • @TashaTuckerFabray The person has no taste. Needs to be re-born!

  • @asifshah6 Audrey hepburn is in hell now, angel gabriel told me about this last night so dont mention her name here anymore, ever!!

  • @TheFerrnandezz That means nothing unless you believe in hell.

  • my dad loved Frank Sinatra, I chose this as the closing song at his funeral yesterday. Forever in my heart.

  • my dad loved Frank Sinatra, I chose this as the closing song at his funeral yesterday. Forever in my heart.

  • My dad loves Frank Sinatra, now he is on his deathbed we playing this song many times. And I know already that I'll always think off my dad enyoning this wonderfull song that take you with him to..............

  • this song was played at my gran's funeral along with new york, new york :) <3 i love this song :D

  • absaloutly <3 this song!!

  • As usual Frank's version is the best!

  • Andy WIlliams and Shirley Bassey do it best. I love Sinatra but this is not Frank at his expressive finest.

  • Wow i feel speechless when i hear this song, so deep

  • the best ever.

  • I woke up, asked Frank how he was doin today.. he sang this song.. thanks Frank.

  • ФАНТАСТИКА!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • increible :O i love this song

  • i've heard hepburn, this and the andy williams version. imo, they're all amazing. beautiful song

  • This song makes me cry.I don't know why it affect me that way.I guess because it sounds so sad and beautiful.

  • Sinatra.............The best.

  • @Sefuderyoutub who is Hod?

  • This makes me cry.

  • Frank is the man.

  • this is my favourite song and found out not so long ago it was my grandad's too :-)

  • This always gives me goose pimples, simply beautiful <3 x

  • @Erin55465 I respectfully disagree, lol :) I think Sinatra sang it the best.

  • I like both

  • The Best of the best. What a voice and what an entertainer!

  • andy williams sing moon river better

  • @elijahbalong i Totally agree he has more feeling

  • Excellent Frankieboy!!!

  • I want to live in that period of time. I would be listening to Frank everyday, and wouldn't have to hear Beiber, or any of that autotone stuff everywhere. Just nice relaxing music like this.

    Man, I wish.

  • @Starryeyedsurprise01 exactly.. i wish too

  • this is utterly fantastic. But for all those who think its the best, well I heard an interview with Johnny Mercer some years back where he said he heard every version ever done and the ONE person who nailed the song for him was... AUDREY.

  • great song!!!!! nothing beats studying with some sinatra in the background.

  • his voice is absolutely beautiful.

  • MAN, could Sinatra cut a tune or what? No wonder he was on top in his day.

  • Realmente, A VOZ!

  • agreed bigjoetube, the most important part of loving music, is having an open heart for all, team williams AND sinatra.

  • reminds me of the good times of the mafia in new york

  • wena xihuahua

  • Frank Sinatra a pure sicilian style...great!

  • Frank Sinatra a Pure Sicilian style....great!

  • Andy Williams, if far more lyrical in the best way possible.

  • I like apples and oranges................no reason not to like sinatra AND williams

  • @bigjoetube I agree a person can like more than one artist, but williams performed this better, who would you say did it better?

  • @bigjoetube exactly man. either you like good music, or you don't. jeez, it's not a football match.

  • You can't knock Williams' voice. He's every bit the singer Frank is. Frank has more character and personality. Plus, his actual voice is more pleasant for swinging jazz. I'm a HUGE Sinatra fan, but Andy Williams sings this song better. He just does. Watch the 1961 clip. It's absolutely pefect.

  • i agree sinatra is my favourite but williams does sing this better

  • @wgb01001 wgb01001, That's funny you said that because I was thinking the same thing.

  • Andy Williams version is better, for their voices this song is better suited for williams.

  • AUDREY HEPBURN.

  • @ismerkedes false. THE version is composed by Johnny Mercer (lyrics) and Henry Mancini (music).

  • @ismerkedes can never ever beat the original by Audrey Hepburn....

  • Frank Sinatra is the greatest popular singer of the past 100 years. I can't believe Andy Williams is being mentioned in the same breath. People don't understand the art of phrasing.

  • Johnny Mercer wrote the lyrics to this song and it resurrected his career.

  • Williams is the "smoother" version. Frank struggles a bit. Both excellent though...

  • @mark042683 yeah, like Frank Sinatra would "struggle" to sing.

  • The cigarettes and parties changed his voice from the 40's to the 50's. Sinatra's voice suffered and he experienced hemorrhaging of his vocal cords on stage at the Copacabana on April 26, 1950. What he did do after that was remarkable. But then...that was his weakness and strength at the same time. People could relate to the "pain" in his voice.

  • @mark042683 anyone's an expert behind the keyboard

  • Frank used to smoke two packets of sigarettes per day since he was 15, that did anything to his voice

  • Cigarettes altered his voice but not his popularity. For me though, I liked Sinatra's uptempo stuff with Nelson Riddle rather than his slower ballads. Early on Frank could sing the ballads. I think his phrasing and timing may have been the best in the biz. Still...I think no one could sing a ballad like Andy Williams.

  • I like this version. So beautiful and you can hear the lyrics more clearly.

  • he sings it very well, but i think andy williams sings it better....

  • this is actually copyrighted not 2 be on this nd while its here this is an amazing version-

  • FRANK AND ANDY ARE BOTH GOOD DOING THE MOON RIVER...and whoever sing this song with all his heart...as long as it melts your heart.....love...love...love...

  • Andy Williams is NO WAY better than Frank Sinatra singing this song! Sinatra just has "it"

  • Andy Williams is better

  • for this song, yes, indeed. Andy is the king of Moon River.

  • Beatiful !!! maravilloso....saluf from Chile!!!

  • Listening to this version makes all other versions sound less good. Even Morrissey's version can't top this, and I'm a huge Mozzer fan!!!!

Mr Sinatra, you had a godlike voice

  • Who's the guitarist? Amazing!

  • no one sings this song like Frank Sinatra :)

  • tego szukałam! cały świat kocha Moon River, so exciting!!

  • Thanks Judie....An old favorite classic that Old Blue Eyes gives his usually great singing performance..... Frank really had such a gentle singing style...all notes falling into a very easy listening range for most.

    Bob

  • I love it!

  • He is amazing :D

  • i love this song so much!!! grandioso!

  • picked up the phone about 6 months ago and got a really scratchy version of the song moon river
