this makes me cry. my mom and dad makes me and my siblings listen to songs like this and watch Fred Astaire and ginger rogers and i am happy that they do. i showed this to a girl in my class and she started to cry and say that this is so much more beautiful then Justin Beiber, and she loves him.
I can't think of a more comforting sound than this mans voice. I'm only 14 and he lived before me, but when I feel lonely i just listen to my friend Frank and all is well again :)
Sinatra really did make a song written by someone else and just made it his own and perfected it in my eyes he was the king of his sort and type a fantastic voice and a great man
I dedicate this song to Myra Kraft, a loving wife, mother, and She managed the Robert and Myra Kraft Family Foundation and was president of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, which contributed millions of dollars to charities in the United States and Israel. From 1995-2002 she was the first woman to chair the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. For the past two years she was chair of the board of directors of United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley.
it might be some mistake of mine, but in my album "My Way"(from 1969) "Moon River" is not contained. I say this because I thought I didn't have the song but got all exited because I knew I got that album.
Anyway this is a great version of this song, the best I've heard so far. Please don't shame the song by flaming in these comments.
I think this is brilliant - mind you there are a great number of people who really could do a top version of it. To me Freddie Mercury was the best singer though I must say I wish The Beatles had of considered recording this when they did the White album. I'd put Paul on vocals. Sir GeorgeMartin producing.( One of my fave songs is Goodnight by Beatles ( that will be my funeral song) . Amazing orchestration etc. . Frank - well this brilliant apprecite it for what it is. Perfection
Stop mention that bitch name audrey hepburn, how dare you compare that bitch to this 2 great name, great singers of all time. Frank Sinatra and Andy Williams has their own wonderful version with different way, but hepburn shit has nothing. she couldn't sing. Go out off my sight !!!!
I adore Frankie (see my channel) but I like this song performed by Audrey Herburn more. Why do you insult her? This is unfair. She was the first singer and sang delightfully.
My dad loves Frank Sinatra, now he is on his deathbed we playing this song many times. And I know already that I'll always think off my dad enyoning this wonderfull song that take you with him to..............
Poor babies, we are not talking about which is the original, we are talking about this is THE best. If you think it's not, show your love in the appropriate video and leave this one flawless. We are not here for Audrey or others.
With my young 26 years old F. Sinatra is not in my singers generation but this song makes me cry at everytime. Gran Pa and gran Ma listened to Sinatra's songs. I love them and Sinatra too.
I've heard both this version and Andy Williams. I like this one better because Sinatra seems to have smoother delivery, it's like words floating down Moon River lol. But I also wanna give props to Audrey Hepburn. This song was written specifically for her to sing in Breakfast at Tiffany's, and boy, did she deliver!
I want to live in that period of time. I would be listening to Frank everyday, and wouldn't have to hear Beiber, or any of that autotone stuff everywhere. Just nice relaxing music like this.
this is utterly fantastic. But for all those who think its the best, well I heard an interview with Johnny Mercer some years back where he said he heard every version ever done and the ONE person who nailed the song for him was... AUDREY.
You can't knock Williams' voice. He's every bit the singer Frank is. Frank has more character and personality. Plus, his actual voice is more pleasant for swinging jazz. I'm a HUGE Sinatra fan, but Andy Williams sings this song better. He just does. Watch the 1961 clip. It's absolutely pefect.
@ismerkedes just close your eyes and listen. OMG,this man's voice is unreal it's so beautiful it makes my head swell.Andy william's version does not affect me the same way.He sing nice, but Frank has such a strong rich sound to his voice. It's totally amazing. There is no way Andy Williams sing that song better than Frankie.

My god,why do people compare versions of a song and fight over who does it the best like
it's some kind of war? Please learn to listen and appreciate each performer's contribution
on it's own.The artists themselves would not enjoy this constant bickering, profanity, and
insults to their fellows or among the users of these forums. What on earth is happening to
our society? This kind of behaviour is disrespectful and destructive. It makes me glad I'm
only visiting.
