I work at a hospital for kids....and they just love this commercial!!! Regardless of backgound, race whatever, the kids would stop what they are doing and run to the TV to watch and sing-along with this video. Furthermore, they even practice the moves :) .....the staff enjoy the show each time and to see the kids forget all their problems for a moment, is unforgetable! :)

This version has the actual flag towels as they should look, as does the Spanish version of the ad.

The English ad we see on TV the most now, with the "rotoscoped towels", has the defining features of each flag removed from the towels.

I wonder why they made such a change. And why no one else on the entire Internet cared to find out.
