1.39 that's excellent, I hope to see more of this stuff going on around okc soon. There should be more public promotion on converting daily driver vehicles to use this.
New hydraulic fracturing (fracking) processes are creating excessive toxic waste water that has no way of being processed to remove the toxicity. The burden of trying to figure out what to do with all of the toxic waste has fallen on local communities, and they are overwhelmed with the poisonous chemicals. Another huge problem has been the leakage of this toxic fluid into ground water supplies. Drinking water, water used for livestock and irrigation are also affected. The problem is emmense.
Recently I saw some pieces the news like Fox news and the journal with Joan Lunden on PBS that were highlighting the advantages of Natural gas as an alternative. It is great to know that a portion of our society is moving in that direction. Mostly it will amount to an environmental impact choice because it sounds like the cost difference isn’t huge once you do the conversions etc. But I think long term it will probably start becoming more of a real advantage.
The more CNG stations the better. Folks ask me what my MPG is on CNG. I tell them zero military lives per gallon. I love CNG because it's cheap and domestic.
