for your own experiments H2 is easily made from sodium hydroxide and aluminium (foil), i dont know if u can get hydrogen just like that in the U.S but its hard to get ur hands on in oz, (sodium hydroxide found easily in supermarket in drain cleaner) -this info also came from my chem teacher, need O2 - easily react hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) with catalase enzyme (found in live - ie sheep liver from butcher)- this decomposes the peroxide to for pure O2.

yeah my friend told me about this, put H2 in a tin with a small hole in the top and side (obviously too big) as when i 'tried' to light it a get a small flame buring i used a minni butane torch buring at 1.5k C it clearly just blew the lid off with the sound of a gun shot and nearly took my face out. Ill try and upload shortly. But keep up the the chem experiments :)
