  • Great video.

  • woke up with this song stuck in my head, so refreshing

  • I really like this video and song. Very clever plus Clare sings like an angel. I have one small gripe though. The whole song is filled with otherworldly and whimsical costumes, sparkles and bubbles...and at 3:01 upc code on the bubble can?!

  • Good fond music!!!

  • the instant this song starts, it completely mellows my mood...no matter what... Another song that does this for me is "possibly maybe" by bjork...check it out...

  • What!? 143 dislikes? BOO TO YOU SIR OR MADAME!

  • love so much

  • Aliens. Outer space. Sparkles and singers. What more can I want?

  • This song instantly lowers my blood pressure. It was such a find. Thank you for posting. My life is better because of it. :0)

  • truly a mesmerizing song, and an incredible band. I can't remember the last time I fell in love with a song so deeply. I melt into a puddle of bliss when I listen to them.

  • love this band...

  • wow, this song is so original, its making m3 so v3rry v3rry happy :)

  • Good

  • It's a mixture of mesmerizing, like, and weird. :) I think they've brain washed us. haha.

  • I like it every good

  • I love them so much

  • Playing in Morgantown Sunday! Yessssssssss!

  • I accidently discovered this song yesterday. It sounds so good. Is there an instrumental version?

  • lovely.

  • Just saw this group tonight in Seattle with Van Dyke Parks. This is one of the best groups out there, loved the show....great songs well performed. See them!!

  • Awesome song....really digging this right now...

  • Amazing!!!

  • I saw them play in Tokyo. Great show - I'd recommend them to anyone. And I LOVE this CD.

  • beautiful!! domo arigato!!

  • wow i think this is a really good video ...the tune is really catchy. i think she is a really good singer and she needs to try to get a recording contract and go global ...(my opinion)

  • Really good composition, does she write it herself?

  • hey, check out there live video concert on my page.

  • beautiful and hypnotic !

  • I love Clare's music! The new album is good - her two solo albums are even better! I hope she is able to continue recording!

  • very refreshing. Love it

  • Just happened to catch Clare last week in Denver. She's very good. Very very good. Gorgeous too, but don't get too excited fellas... she's married.

If you get a chance to catch the show, do so. There's a string quartet and some great music.

  • The puppet is from Brooklyn's own PUPPETWORKS theater.

puppet and costume by Nicolas Coppola, puppeteer was Mike Leach.

  • I love this song!!! :)

  • Of course you love it. It's in your blood.

  • This is so pretty :)

The style of the lyrics remind me of a great band Jellyfish.

    This song is excellent.

  • It's good until 1:30 when it devolves into psuedo Lonely Hearts Club Band territory. The two styles/eras just don't mix.

  • This is a perceptive observation. They left the chorus out of the French version, "Pluton".

  • I love this band. I can't believe I hadn't heard them before. Wonderful.

  • This song is irresistibly adorable, the lyrics, Clares voice, I can't help it!

  • Strange and excellent....I agree with the comment about the 1920s throwback. Fantastic video...love it!!!!!

  • Clare, I love your voice, but I wish you'd put a little more closing consonant on the end of some of your words. Esp. at the end of verses and choruses. Not so much in this son, but in most of the others on The Movie--a very enjoyable CD.

  • mmmm... I could definitely listen to that on occasion. This seems to me like a classic 1920s throwback. That just sounds soo good. I never thought much about that decade but the context the artist puts it in helps me understand em a bit better... Or at least puts a dusty music style new polish

  • I can't think of a more perfect thing to write a song about, or a more perfect way to sing it...

  • I really like how the musical context of this song isn't JUST focused on the voice; there was so much in the accompaniment I would almost label it a motive of it's own. Their other songs are this deep musically, if not deeper. (See "Science Fiction Man" where a GOOD portion is focused on the harmonic motion of the violins.)

I do wish we would get to see The Reasons play their respective instruments in the next video!

    Great job!

  • Shows potential.

  • This song resonates with the universe. It's truly "music of the spheres."

    Okay, I'm done now.

  • It sounds like Tori Amos could have written this song. The bridge reminds me particularly of "Mr. Bad Man". Very Beatles! Good, great, wonderful and classic song to note the historical, if ultimately meaningless, reclassification of a former planet. The beauty of it nearly draws fluids from my body.

  • i thought it was very beatles too!

  • HA! yeah right

  • This is so adorable. Cheers to the mastery of all artists involved. I love it.

  • Melodic and quirky...somebody give me a singularity and let's ride the puppy!

  • Cool video!

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

  • kinda sounds like they're just singing the news

  • haha yeah

  • I'm freakin out man!

  • back in my day pluto was still a planet

  • I knew Pluto wasn't a planet since the second grade. Don't trust your teachers. Pluto isn't even round.

  • this reminds me of rufus wainwright......kudos

  • those are groovy sunglasses

  • Wow... umm... I think I ah... like it. But for some reason I feel a little strange.

  • Dear Clair,

I just found you on Youtube and fell in love with your music. So much music today is crap but your voice plus the classic and modern instrumentation if incredible! Now I have to get your CD's. Thank you again.

    John

  • i want to sex u up hehe

  • I miss Pluto, it was, and still is my favorite planet.

    *sigh*

    I support you Pluto!

  • ya no kidding... who fuking decided that they could just say its too small :(

  • There is another planet beyond Pluto and some believe pluto is it's moon or one of her moons.

  • i like it.

  • It's like 9050's crooners meets Explosions in the sky meets telepopmusik.

    It's interesting-the video's dull though.

  • She has a pretty mouth (and no I'm not quoting deliverance she really has a pretty mouth).

  • I appreciate YT featuring this, because it's different and beautiful. The fact that it has 3 stars at the moment just demonstrates that its uniqueness throws many people off. It's Avant Pop that is rooted in classical foundations and 'long-lost harmonies. Check out the background of the musicians and you'll see what they bring to this. I just discovered them today and am impressed. Their CD has even more good stuff on it, and you can get it on Amazon. And no, I'm not affiliated with the band :)

  • I miss seeing it in the books....

Even the schools have taken it off the walls....:S

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • i kind of like this. although it bothers me that there is no transition into the chorus thing. it sounds wrong.

  • Fun and i like the song but they could have done alot more with it. Too much repetition of the same images/ content. Not to say they needed more varied scenes, just more varied actions within the scenes. Nice style tho.

  • Its about how they are not clasifying pluto as a planet anymore jeeze.

  • sweet sounds :) very nice

  • planets are only names that humans assign to theobjects which float around the same. pluto will still float. its been floating longbefore we came, and it will float long after. it is no diffrent how we call an apple red. we can call the apple red, yellow, orange. this does not change what it is. everything is only what our minds make it to be.

  • Good explanation.

  • It's just a song. They are probably using Pluto as a symbol anyways. Although, I really didn't pay enough attention to the lyrics to say what it represents.

  • gaci fenaaaaa

  • jebus i actually looove this tune :D

  • Love It !!!!

  • pluto is no longer a planet

  • not bad.

  • I love her voice... great melody. Her voice reminds me of Spanish singer Ana Torroja... really good!!!!

  • danke

  • cool

  • parang sa tanga lang ahh...

  • I like it, differen't, course I have always had taste outside the norm, but that doesn't change the fact I like it. Has a kind of 40's commerical jingle feel to it. Interesting. Poor Pluto.

  • This song should be named after another planet, Ur.......ah, forget it, that joke's to easy.........

  • (\__/)

    (='.'=)

    (")_(")

  • I want this song played on the radio! We love Pluto!

  • 1132456

  • I like this song! very very very EXTREMELY! catchy!

  • This is heartbreaking! Pluto you'll always be a planet to me!

  • Scientists aren't right about everything, and from what I understand the re-categorization was pretty arbitrary.

Pluto I deny science for THEE!

  • i actually think this song is pretty good, interesting vocals.. A+

  • GREAT song and a awesome voice:)

    :)

    Hilde

  • good

  • The cardigans?

  • I don't care if Pluto's technically not a planet. I like Pluto, I'm keeping it as a planet for sentimental purposes! :-P

  • I liked it! I named my cat after pluto the planet, and during this video my cat was wandering around meowing..

  • reminds me of the cardigans

  • im so old school i think pluto is still a planet lol barats and beretta

  • weird weird song, weird band, weird music, weird lady's voice. but still sad pluto is gone.

  • There's another planet this song should have been named after, Ur.......ah, forget it, That joke's too easy.

  • uhg... didn't like...

  • WTF? Did the BlueMen direct this garbage?

  • should have written it when pluto was still news.

  • nice song

  • This song is GREAT!.

  • Beautiful song! An Andrews Sisters sound with celestial electronica. Brilliant work. - Lonely London Lad

  • nice progression

  • I don't know what my remark below has to do with Pluto. Astronomers tell us that a climate change is taking place on Jupiter, Pluto, Mars, and Saturn due to sun spots. No longer is is global warming, it is now our solar system warming.

  • It's 'cause Jupiter and Saturn conspired to squeeze out the little guy. Saturn doesn't realize it, but Jupiter is plotting to get her rings in order to build a few more moons. The interplanetary bail-out to save Saturn's rings will be so costly that the whole solar system just might collapse. As a speculator on such things, I might do quite well.

  • haha! senior joke

  • i am an idiot and my name is samantha

  • i love anything that has to do with space

  • waffles ARE tasty

  • i LOVE waffles

  • i think the video is great!! i also love the voice. and the lyrics. awesome

  • cool music vid too, sorry pluto

  • catchy song

  • well, pluto is smaller than the moon

so its ex to see why its not a planet. . .

  • Makes me warm inside...

  • Pluto will ALWAYS be a planet to me.

    Always.

  • Always.

  • me too!!!!! i was taught pluto was a planet when i was a kid so its gunna stick!

  • With her nasal overtone and shimmied lower octave voice I bet she would do well in an acoustic folk type music. Hmm. Kinda like the Joni Mitchell or Mazzy Starr genre. Good Luck Reasons!

  • .....................

  • its crazy to think that pluto isn't a planet anymore! i have grown up most of my life being told that pluto is a planet, and all of a sudden its not.

  • omg yea! ill never get used to it.

  • Different!

  • Dale Henry is so happy!

I'm gonna crack my whip and shoot my guns!
