  • Dude I could totally live in that junt

  • 2002 to 2008 home where $700,000 and people said they made $400,000 a year to get the loan

  • iam shure that now that they are homeless..they wouldnt pass a credit check to get a apartment..after a forclosure ..get out of the south and move north where the work is..

  • ha you forgot the biggest issue getting fuel for a motor home is a major expence..i know couse i too have been homeless before in my motor home..

  • should be parking in front of obamas house..

  • Well this is from 2008, I am sure Obama has fixed all these problems by now and made it all better...wait, what? He made it worse?

  • Well, you dont have to pay taxes for it. And because you haven't paid taxes for anything so far, you're on the street now :) The americans still think that taxes is money thats being dumped into a black hole. Nobody of them realizes that all money are wages for people. And they will never understand it even if they'd switch their brains on because they have been talked into a delusion for decades .

  • 6:26 VIDEO GAME SYSTEM! Smart man!

Works as a limo driver part time and tells no one about his VAN HOME - again, Smart self sufficient person!

Best part, he doesn't seem to be a crazy wacko like you'd expect from a camper-man.

    He's actually pretty cool.

  • 07:55 it's on fre***** YouTube???

But it shows how big the problem is ...

And this is out 2008 ... it's now 2009 and I wonder what became of these people on this movie ...

  • @AngeliqueEU ? 0.o ? reality check... it's 2011, almost 2012

  • If the mortgage crisis is so bad, why don't people just rent an apartment? There is that option too. But of course, the idea of not paying rent or mortgage is pretty sweet.

  • @theBCdream because most times they bought the house when there wasn't a crisis in sight & the economy was still very good.. i.e when you bought a house for 250k a few years back it's not very tempting to sell it at 150k today & go renting an apartment, also it will leave you with a 100k in debt at the bank..

  • Those scumbags in government are really taking a shit on Americans!

  • I want to live in my RV. I don't want to own a home. I have money. My job requires constant relocation. I want to live off the grid. I am sick and tired of being harassed, ticketed, fined. There should be a law against harassing the poor.

  • 2:54 thats my car :D!

  • I don't mind living in RV. i can park anywhere and go anywhere just feel like home. no rent and what soever. and the TAX-IRS officer also could not find you. HAHAHA......

  • We lived in a travel trailer for 4 years and we loved it, but it was our choice to do it, we had a small disability pension coming in, we enjoyed the travel, we did not have young children, and we knew that we could make a different choice any time - which we eventually did.

  • you know how the could make a lot of money? they just have to sell their cute blond doughters to saudi-arabia believe me THEY LOOOVE blond women or girls , than they would all have a home.

  • @LT0WnWaRi0 What does it say about you that after listening to this - you come up with that comment?

  • @ReformBarackObama

no iam not arab and wont buy a blond girl it was just a funny idea ;-)

  • Wallmart lets you sleep for free in their lots!

  • The people responsible for all this should be brought to justice, they are all CRIMINALS and you can start this from Clinton's office time till today, pretty much the same people are still running the show and calling the shots, I cant believe that they are all getting away with it, the day that we all stand in front of god will eventually come and thats something no one cat escape from, I just hope that it stops B4 another civil war, peace to all

  • Amazing. People losing their homes to the rip banks and the COP piggies go after them and bypass drug dealers.

  • less government. cut benefits. export more goods.done...better USA

  • It's really sad that we've come to this in America. And yet the Republicans held the Democrats hostage for extending unemployment until they got big tax cuts for the very rich. The House which is now controlled by the Republicans have done nothing about jobs, in fact trying to cut the Affordable Care Act and cutting the safety nets that remain like food stamps, etc. They have no conscience and in fact are still protecting Wall St. and Bank abuses, and corporations like G.E. which paid no taxes.

  • welcome to the truth

  • This is something that I find scary. I live in the poorest country in the EU...Bulgaria and yet people in the USA live wayyyy worse than I do. Isn't the USA the country where dreams are made? All is see is a nightmare... :(

  • Americans are freedomless. The revolution is near.

  • @tripvids420

at the moment the revolution is in the Middle-East.. no where near America :P

  • that old woman is an imbiclie..shes a child, living in denial...

  • It's bullshit that a country that prides itself on freedom has laws against sleeping. Next, they're going to tax the air. I've been lucky enough to find a place to park at night where the police leave me alone, but I never know when that's going to change, and the snooty middleclass soccer moms call the cops on me just for sitting in my car reading in public parks even though I keep myself clean and never bother anybody. People suck.

  • @Primalxbeast not the ppl But the rulling alite most certainly does They caused the economic colapse yet they profited from this n the us gov gave them Billions to bail them OUT? where did that money come from? the people! the same ppl the gov expect to go to wars caused for the benefit of the elite what a sick joke they are americans Born in their country their forfathers fought n died for their constitution n freedom where are their Human Rights?

  • @Primalxbeast

God bless you, I'm an american mom and would never call the police on you for just trying to get by.

  • Not that this makes it OK; but the people who have mobile homes are somewhat fortunate. Its NOT the same as a house; but there are people who have it much worse. They have people living in tents in the woods; with no way to cook food. At least a mobile home you have better shelter than a tent; and if you can find water and electric hookups; you can cook and have refrigerated stuff. If you have a little bit of money; you can find a campground taht has these hookups and be ok for a short time

  • The Objective is for these people to starve to death quickly and keep them off balance.

  • the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer

  • It's their fault for living beyond their means and getting into debt and signing up for mortgages that are too expensive.

  • Yeah, I did 4 years active duty millitary service for a country I did not even know. It has taken me many years to learn that the USA is a land of selfish capitaist pigs and they I fought in a war, not for the common person, but for the rich,,, the FILTHY rich. The rich in the USA are Godless and evil. The USA even throws out their elderly. The Dems want to help but the right wing war-mongers throw upo raqod blocks. They say they are conservatives and Christian but that is a lie!!!

  • @Engineer245 tHe democrats don't want to help there lieing too. Also theres nothing wrong with capitalism, its facism thats wrong(rich buys out goverment making everyone live like crap)

  • @SuperSexyBoiGod

Yeeaaah... That thinking is exactly why you will be exterminated off the face of the planet. Hahaha! See ya Devil.

  • @SuperSexyBoiGod

    Thanks for the correction.. cracka.

  • @JurkoffJay @SuperSexyBoiGod you both are such fails..

  • @tnplummer1

it's PIECE of shit... not peace

don't forget you still have it very good in The US, sure Europe & Australia are better but just be lucky you don't live in India or Afrika or whatnot..

  • @tnplummer1 Newsflash, kiddo - the cycle of bad shit happening to the economy happened long before Obama ever took office.

  • lol. sleeping in a car is illegal. America, the freest country in the world, NOT !

  • The American dream turned nightmare

  • wow, what a good video, to get an apartment in santa barbara, you need first and last month rents plus a security deposit that your landlord will probably never give back to you, thats about $3200 just to move in to a room with a bathroom.

  • The first guy can make good money doing bang bus videos..

  • What's wrong living in a RV, that's the good life of freedom.

  • The US media(The Public Fool System) does NOT show this,in this detail..

  • wtf. In Britain we have council/social housing where ANYONE can get a flat/apartment. You never have to be on the street, you would get placed in a hostel/hotel/temp accomodation until a flat arises. Homelessness is not cool and affect the whole of society apart from the rich. EAT THE RICH.

  • @Studas2006 same here in Holland, you couldn't live on the streets even if u wanted to ... but it's a lot different in the rest of the world..

  • @EuroNoobz

in germany too. if you really need a apartment you can have one , you just have to register you and will get it ;-D

  • @Studas2006 I wish it was the same here in America, But the lawmakers complain about everything

  • @Studas2006 to compair the UK with the usa is like compairing Heaven with hell in EVERY WAY Britain is a CIVILISED country with many caring n Liberal ppl able to think for themselfs its the exact opposide to the usa it can only be Few countries on earth worse than the usa on planet earth n most are like that cause they been liberated/americanised by the usa iraq/agfanistan Panama just few examples Holland maybe the fairest country in Europe along with the UK 2 countries i respect deeply

  • CAPITALISM & COMMUNISM SUCKS..!!!

human beings still not equal specially in any form of government interference. No Politicians. No Bankers. No Drug Lords. No lawyers. No Gambling Lords. No Anarchist. No to rebel Politicians. No to Dictators. No Opportunist Lazy People. No King. No Emperor. No Sultanate. No Rulers. No Royal Families. No Criminals. No Elite Evil Minded People. etc. etc.

We humans need more freedom. We dont need any government anymore.. we are all free.!!

  • at least they have it, not all have it

  • It's truly amazing how things we currently take for granted can end up meaning so much. Such as Cathie's or Kathie's bed. Having a fridge; Being able to shower. I wish them all well. I've had to live on the streets before. It's hard in so many ways I don't have room to list them. Just hold on to your humanity and that is hard at times too.

  • If I was forced to live in my car? I would sell the car & use the money for an apartment then use public transportation to get any job any where! But thats just me. I sympathise though for them. But God I rather have a home w/a bed & bathroom then live in a car?

  • @Godzie1 don't u need a job to rent an apartment?

  • @EuroNoobz Some yes..(depending if there was a lease agreement etc.) But there are still some as long as you have that 1st month rent & deposit? They will give you the key. Then there are places that are paid weekly also. All depends where you go?

  • @EuroNoobz I would be very reluctant to sacrifice my car if I was unemployed. My job is 20 miles from where I live and having a car is the only realistic way of getting there. If I lost this job I would be prepared to accept a job equally far a way and where having a car is the only practical way of travelling to it. When you're unemployed you still need to consider how your actions affect your chances of getting a job.

  • yep. its a vicious cycle.

  • @Godzie1 Most American cities don't have public transportation that's any good. In my city, the buses run Monday through Friday only, and only between the hours of 7 AM and 7 PM. Most low-wage jobs want people who can work nights and weekends. And very few landlords will rent to someone who is unemployed, unless you can find one who's very sympathetic (or irresponsible with their property).

  • @ryuuseicha My hometown was Chicago who has great transportation 24 hours. No bus? A cab will do for a few bucks more.

I also lived in Vegas who's public transportation was not as good as Chicago but I still got around ok.

But really, I'd rather have an apartment then live in a car?

I live in a small town now & have to drive my van.

But still live in a house.

I guess I'm one of the more fortunate ones who do!

But my heart goes out to people that don't. :(

  • My 16 year old said that her goal is to become such a success that she wants to take over the world & fix all is wrong w/it.

(IDK if I should be worried or proud of her? But I wish her luck?) :)

  • @Godzie1 --- Clearly you haven't thought this through, have you? I didn't think so. If you did, you would KNOW that things aren't as simple as you make them sound. Count your blessings, fool.

  • @roadieric I do know that it is not easier said then done. I've been in sticky situations myself & fought like hell to get out of it. We do whatever we have to do to get by in this world & yes I do count my blessings!

  • @Godzie1: Good luck with that, first off, these cars wouln't pay 2 weeks rent, secondly good luck renting without good credit. So you would be going from the protection of your vehicle, to lying on the sidewalk. I know someone recently with 3 thousand USD in hand and they wouldn't rent.

  • @KRYTEN451 IDK where these places are? What you are talking about..All I'm saying is you don't give up & let society get you down. We all do what we need to do in life to get by. If this includes selling your car? So be it! The street is no place to live!

  • having a house makes you an indentured servant in this new Amerika

i've lived in my car for a while

  • I live next to a 'camper park' and every single one of them people has dogs. They bark all fucking day long. Every day ------ all day.....It's never fucking ending. The dogs are bored and cramped in tiny cages and/or tied up all day long. Bark bark, yap yap!!!! Fucking don't have dogs if you can't take care of them properly!!!!!

We all suffer when having to listen to their frustrated, bored barking - it's enough to drive a person INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • shit life indeed

  • he's rich! sell that camper and give the money to the poor in tents! quick, tell Obama to tax this guy!

  • Having a house makes you an economic prisoner in a broke state.Any one can colect taxes from you,sue you, make you pay insurances and fees you disagree with, because they hold your house hostige.I sold every thing I have, but a few tools and a truck.I bought physical silver and gold.I have enough to buy a house cash and then some.I closed my bank account. This is the only way to feel free not just in America, but in just about any other country in the world. While I live, I should be free.

  • Where did that guy get the windmill to put on top of his van .. i need one just like that myself

  • build one yourself... comon with some effort.. theres vids showyou how!!

  • Nothing to eat but playing war around the world.

    Fuck the USA

  • remember that the next time the US bails out your country in a war.

  • Most of the ppl here, see their mobiledwellings as a degraded experience, but eventually they will find their new lifestyle is not as daunting as it seems, and living within their means will actually increase their standard of living. The guy using solar and wind power has the right attitude and has thrived! For more info on mobileliving check out vandwellers group on yahoo.

  • All this are controlled, the American dream it's controlled.

Someone are interested to people become like this.

This is the modern slave time.

    Sory my bad English.

  • I just wondered what receiving welfare has to do about the phrase: "the American Dream of a self-determined life"

  • wow, that guy with the solar camper, cool, nice documentary. Really interesting
