I never said I fully charged it. The video shows that some current goes through since it does switch the Zune on. That's all I wanted to show. I don't plan to charge it this way and I'm sure it wouldn't last long but it did switch on in case you haven't noticed and as I said in a post below there are no additional cables or items used and it's visible by the way I filmed so nothing is hidden.
The video is crap. We don't see the zune charging. We don't see the battery indicator before or after and it's obvious the zune already has some charge or you wouldn't see the menu screen. For the skeptics out there, the principle is sound. You can make a battery out of an onion, or a potato for that matter. As far as fully charging the zune (or iPod) goes, forget it. Zune needs 5watts and 1.4amps for about 2 hours to charge fully. That's more ions than an onion can hold.
all u did was use 2 usb cables, plugged one into the zune and into a computer, the other one u plugged into the onion and left the other cable hanging there, giving the effect it was one cable.
Did you even watch the whole video? As you can clearly see in the second half, there's no computer nearby whartsoever that's why I made the same thing again in another location to prove it... watch carefully and you will see no computer nearby... just one cable... try it yourself...
or you can suck my balls and see how much energy you get out of them. o wait ud enjoy that 2 much u flaming homosexual everyone knows your trying to fuck up peoples charging cables just like the guys from househould hackers
I think how householdhacker did it is because he is REALLY good at editing and you see how he didnt move the ipod at all? He just filmed him charging his ipod then put the screen on the charging the onion one, thats how i think he did it.
Err i'm starting to doubt myself because the salted water i used it in another experiment to pruduce hydrogene so it may not work ...anyway don't waste too much stuff
I'm not sure, I used as specified in the other video. I think it needs the ions found in energy drinks... Maybe lucozade will work. Not too sure about coke or lemonade... Watch the original video for more...
um i have a ? wats the song caalled n by who?? also not to be mean or anything is that a computerdesk chair when ur moving the cammera after u dry the onion cuz i think is a rolling chair that u use at desks
No. The first time I have someone holding the camera and the second time it's placed on a shelf.
There's or at least I can't recall any chairs being there.
The thing behind the onion in the second part is actually a sofa. I'm a little confused on what you're on about so if you want to explain better please do.
I think I'll do it again, just to poke the holes, cause they're small which makes htem less visible compared to the large usb one, so you can see what it looks like.
Dude I just tried this, and shit not what I expected, it works, lol was shocked, Just had to leave the onion to soak for longer... wouldnt work first time
It's there just bad lighting in the room makes it less obvious, just look closer, the second vid is meerly just to show that there is no computer there. Just stare at the screen and hopefully you'll notice.
No duuh... lol well it get's stuck inside the hole and you need it out otherwise it might not work, at first it acted weird in my computer but I had to dry it all out cause it was still a little wet I guess...

alyankfreak 3 years ago
I didn't have so many, but it was left to soak for ages, so it got through. Maybe around 6? Can't be sure...

Do you need to clean off the onion from the cable.
