  • this album is van halen's heaviest album and best i think!

  • This is like skrillex 30 years before skrillex.

  • VH trying to sound like an early Tuxedomoon. I still think this is the best VH record and the most underrated

  • Monsta

  • this is actually van halen's version of dubstep

  • this is crazy

  • this song was a "fair warning" to one foot out the door _ these guys really lived up to thier album title on this one

  • Hey, kids! Van Halen invented dubstep!

  • Wouldn't sound out of place on a Gary Numan album.

  • I love driving around to this. I wish I had a stereo that could properly accomodate this song, then again maybe a better car and not that poor excuse for an adult tonka toy. ..... Hoping they play it live, slow and phat like it is with no spots on Wolfie.

  • 4 people got savagely ass raped

  • This is amoeba music.

  • Dubstep aint got shit on this

  • @romansol856 amen to that brother !! VAN HALEEEEENNNNNN !!!!!!!

  • 1st ever dub step track

  • 0:35 enter the grid

  • Meet me in the park say about two o clock, pm , you'll recognise me I am the one with the glint in my eye and the blood in the corner of my mouth, how's fancy a nice walk ?then

  • @ jontroywinquist1 yeah, a little. This isn't the full band, though. Just bass N drums. I've seen 'em do it in concert! Michael Anthony played it on his Jack Daniels bass. I'm guessing he has that one either tuned a special way, or has effect pedals hooked up to it...

  • @ILoveCurves88 its a rare synth called the electro harmonix mini synthesizer playing the bass and the weird electronic stuff

  • @jadyh46260 well thats because it is a badass eighties song genius

  • This 1 is for you Benny!!!!!

Rest in Peace old friend, you are sorely missed. See you on the other side \m/

  • this is no ordinary day to be at the park lol

  • this song is just bad-ass!

  • " chopped and screwed Van Halen, wow ! "

  • what was the inspiration for this unusual album cover?

(best dave album by the way)

  • @outoworkdreamer The front cover art features a detail from "The Maze", a painting by the Canadian artist William Kurelek which depicts his tortured youth

  • If I was a boxer or a wrestler...this is what I would enter the ring to.

  • @catmansmith33 or going to kick someones ass

  • @catmansmith33 Or Unchained!!

  • i wore this tape out so bad back in the day !!

  • I wonder what would happen if I played this at Halloween when the little kids would come up trick-or-treating?

  • @1983Wrathchild Play intruder instead. They'd be scared more.

  • Comment removed

  • @laiholapso no sir, YOU suck

  • I wore this tape out twice.

  • This was Van Halen's longest instrumental until Baluchitherium, on Balance.

    Just saying.

  • @emakstarr never

  • @emakstarr You suck

  • OMFG! This ROCKS!!! Old School Halen, Nice BASS Riff!

  • back when Van Halen was the real Van Halen!

  • this whole album sounds like they either took a good ass trip back in time, or got real fucked up on some drugs, either way, its more better than most people say it is...well to me at least

  • 2 people have never spent a Sunday afternoon in the park :(

  • Great song.

  • Fair warning to chyba najlepsza plytka Van Halena.

  • This song plays through my head when I feel like i've come off of an acid high

  • Why couldn't they make more songs like this? This is so dark and moody, I love it.

  • @AgentSpork Well, they did release a whole album like this. (In the sense that it's dark and moody)

  • this music with one foot out the door is very good :)

  • shits on today's fairy floss crap!

  • ...the things Ed must have plugged into his guitar rig over the years. The stuff he's run thru his fx pedals and Marshall and mic'd up and recorded. Put that delay/reverb/flanger/phase 90/echoplex on it and crank it wide open! A drill. A wurlizer electric piano (Cradle), an Electroharmonix mini synth (this track)...lol! Anything sounds good thru a Marshall on 10...cep't maybe Kevin or Joe Jonas....or play a Justin Beiber album thru Ed's rig...

  • Great lead in song to one of Eddie's best, under-rated solos.

  • I blew my first speakers to this song.

  • Try this song on purple microdots when the batteries are going dead in your cassette player , In the back of a pickup camper going through costoms.....30 years ago and it still blows my mind ; }

  • This song reminds me when my friends and I hung out at the lil' park down the street on the weekends and I used to blast this song alll the time!

  • This is such a dark tune! For some reason it sounds like Marylin Manson would love this! He probably does like this.

  • where have all the good time gon

  • this piece of music was acually insprired by eddie's wife valerie!!!!

  • this song scared me as a child

  • @RJT0123456789 it is creepy!

  • this is a bass solo right? i was told wolfgang uses a distortion petal and a wire on his thumb

  • @WWEFanBaseNews wat r u talking about wolfgang joined in 2000 something and this song was made in the 80s this is michel antheny dummmmmmmmmmm ass

  • @WWEFanBaseNews You're a dumbass, Wolfie didnt join until 2006

Micheal Anthony the original bassist who joined in 1974 after the

first bass player Mark Stone quit. So there I just gave you a little history about bass players who are/were in Van Halen, and yes "MICHEAL ANTHONY" did use a distortion pedal for the bass solo in One foot out the door there is no bass solo in this song its just Eddie playing the keyboards using a distortion pedal.

  • @VanHalen941 would you shut the fuck up i mixed up the 2 so go crawl back in your mamas ass you justin bieber but lover

  • @WWEFanBaseNews lol your a faggot go suck butt buddys cock fuckhead

  • @VanHalen941 retard you went apeshit and called me a dumbass cause you were in a bad mood yourdad wouldnt have sex with you so you decided to be an internet tough guy

  • @WWEFanBaseNews lol the comical fights on youtube. How they entertain me haha

  • Fair warning,

  • this song reminds me of 1984 and intruder put together.

  • its the same riff Michael Anthony uses on is bass solos. check out right here, right now live.

  • its the same riff Michael Anthony uses for his bass solos. check out his bass solo on the Right Here, Right Now: Live album.

  • why in hell is this called sunday afternoon in the park?? but anyways holy flying pig shit is this is demonic greatness or what? i am going to get so stoned and listen to this again LOUD!!

  • I think they threw this in for the heck of it...it is one of the most memorable songs from that album, cuz it is just so original, hard, and slow.

  • to cool

  • that wasnt a Moog, MrRivethead; it was an Electro Harmonix mini synth. I used to own one, way back in 1981...yeah, Im old.

  • @GNVVisalright IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN BILLED THAT WAY; i RECALL P[LAYING SOMETHING CALLED A MINI MOOG. it was about the size of size my current lap top.

  • @GNVVisalright i checked a demo out of the electro mini synth,i believe you.

  • gosh i feel sorry for the generation taoday!!,,they dont have such greatness like we had!

  • lol i agree and im 17 lol

  • it portrays the classical piano & jazz influences from their teendays;being taught to play the piano by a Rusian teacher with a ruler @ hand;and Mr.Van Halen as a professional clarinist

  • EDDIE oh wow man i have rocked this hard

  • eddie should open the vaults and give us some stuff like this, love how strange it sounds....

  • 1:27-1:58 AHH the synth is growling at me! lol

  • Almost sounds like Intruder from Diver Down slowed down to me. Anyone else hear that? Like how the riff for Top of the World is at the end of Jump? Is this another case of them bridging together parts/albums?

  • @jontroywinquist1 well yes and no. Diver Down came after fair warning, so Intruder would have been this sped up. plus this is mainly synth and the synth riff for intruder is much different

  • @jontroywinquist1 You Betcha....and ends in a Riff that was jettisoned from "Women and Children First" from their demo days.

  • good shiy

  • I'm 34 now and i first heard this tune when i was about 6. Blew me away and still does!!!!

  • Moog and natural drums early sampling;I've loved this and one foot out the door since it was released,At this time Tony Iommi was experimenting with synth too like on the mob rules the intro ev150 intro to the title song.A lot of bands were playing around with synth but with no real direction yet.

  • always wanted to know what the story was behind this and the name

  • ...they shortened the name "Sunday Afternoon In The Park" from "Sunday Afternoon In The Park After A Week Long Acid Trip"

  • @davizm You couldn't be more right, So This is Gonzo?

  • @davizm On my iPod I have this and OFOTD as one song and the file's name is:

Sunday Afternoon In The Park After A Week-Long Acid Trip and One Foot Out The Door.

  • WEIRD!!! SICK!!!

  • Wow ,, I Totally Don't Remember This ..... ( from that Album) , Crazy ?... Almost kinda Spooky !

  • bad ass.. how was this being played? was this Michael Anthony playing it on his bass with an effects pedal?

  • from what i can read about on the internet, this is played with an electro-harmonix micro synthesizer. it's basically a really simple synth without any traditional keys

  • no! you suck

  • Comment removed
