One interesting method. Jesus says in Matthew 24:32-34 that learn from the fig tree and so on. Fig tree is parable of Israel. Fig tree "putteth forth leaves" could mean Israel state is born in 1948. So then Jesus sais,, "This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
Generation is about 70-80 years (Psalm 90:10). So calculate from 1948+70 = 2018. All has happened by then or 1948+80= 2028. So if this is right antichrist starts his 7-year reign in 2011 or in 2021...wow!
The pope is not the antichrist. That is for sure. I think it is prudent to believe that the antichrist tries to copy Jesus as much as possible that some even think him as Jesus.
