    i have time only at night so is it okay that i exercise at night after 2 to 3 hours of taking my meal.will it have the same effect on my body as excersing in the morning?

  • i do ALOT of running but do ANY weights and thats what i think is what not letting me loose any more weight. So should i do some of the weight lifts everyday when just watching tv and after running? WIll running and weights about 5 days awake everyday keep weight off? WIll running and doing weights give me more of a toned body and also keep the weight off? thanks :)

  • eh i agree with what you said about when to work out but i'd like to add to that for anyone who reads this is that when you work out in the morning you do actually target more of your fat as energy as uposed to your body using what u ate as energy. Therefore by working out on a empty stomach you do target your actual fat on your body but with a cost. You don't work out with as much intensity due to the fact you don't have nutrients in your body. But losing weight morning is good but doesnt make

  • you mentioned not working out before bed because you will be energized. I am sooo sleepy after I workout! BEST NAPS EVER happen after I walk/jog. I get up at 6am, walk/jog, have breakfast and then by the time I make it back to my room I'm ready to fall asleep. Is that abnormal?

  • I am begining a fitnes program and need all the advice I can get. when it is best to workout how to burn calories and tone muscles and what to eat and when before or after a wokrout? should I weight myself or measure? Shold I drink protein supplement? I am not sure of anything just that i am tired of being heavy and want to get in shape!

  • For the prizes, I think diet and health books would be good, like the fat belly diet, or cook your self thin, something like that. Or a package of stuff for basic workouts, like a yoga matt, some 5lbs weights, the yoga ball (and other exercise balls-medicine, and that one cut in half. Stuff like that. Thanks for making this videos. Keep up the fantastic work.

  • will cycling make you lose weight in the butt and thigh area or should i hop on the treadmill?

  • i'm pretty sure you can't 'spot reduce' which means you can't lose weight in a specific area of your body just by working that particular area.. so i'd suggest doing whichever exercise will help you lose more overall body fat.

  • Yes, spot reducing is really hard. You can focus on toning areas more so than others, but if there is fat covering up the muscle, you will need to burn it off first through diet, and overall exercise. I love running, but if you have bad knees, a bike may be better, just get that heart rate up!

  • basically for teens, you can do these programs, but you guys have the best situation in that you can join a TEAM! That is my best advice, but if you can't, strength training can be done with resistance bands and body weight.

That shows how much people think you can assist them, and that says alot about you and what you care about (health, diet, and exercise).   • haha thanks so much! I love this stuff! I'm going to be volunteering in Boston starting in March teaching a group of unconditioned inner city teenagers. I'm sooo excited. I never thought I could ever be so eager to work for free but I guess I basically do that here too on my channel.

Well, that does not matter, I think that your energy, knowledge, and passion can be of great use to alot of people and you know that better than I. And you know what else. I think it is really hot when people work with young people in any capacity. So, in my big light brown eyes, you are beautiful on so many different levels. You promote great things, your ambitious, you motivate others, you teach. Keep it up.

  • shouldn't you always eat something within 20 minutes after your workout just so your body doesn't go into starvation mode? cause when that happens you retain fat..?

  • Honestly, that is really only if you are strength training for over 1.5-2 hours! If you are trying to lose weight, it's not exactly needed. I usually plan my meals around my work outs so I can each lunch or dinner right after and I don't even have to worry about eating more than I'm burning.

    my biggest problem with working out is motivation...I'll start and then stop after 2 weeks; binge; and then repeat the whole thing again. Can you please talk about what keeps you motivated? Thanks for all your help btw! :)

  • apparantly strength training is best around 5pm, due to testosterone levels being highest at this time of the day..?

  • perhaps but if you can't workout at 5pm, what are you suppose to do? It's better to workout period and those small benefits really only effect those that are training hard core.

  • 2-3 hours of strength training for a meal afterwards? I would have thought even 45mins-1 hour was enough.. assuming you hadn't eaten for 1-2 hours before working out

  • If it's time for a snack, then have one with protein, but if you are not hungry, it's not going to make or break your workout.

  • well, if you fall asleep easy, then go for it! But if you find you can't fall asleep for hours, then maybe rethink it.

  • I can try but to be honest, a flat a stomach comes mainly from your diet! I'll do a post about this, but check out the video I made for Elle because she wanted the same thing.

  • the beginner plan is probably for 50 lbs and over rather than 30 depending on your previous physical activity so that will be the one to follow! It's also for anyone who has never done exercise before.

  • Thank u so much sarah! I work out almost everyday (running aroun 5-6 miles a workout) and eat almost all clean or organic..but my pitfall is sugar...namely chocolate. But I also desperately need some heavier weight training so I am looking forward to this!
