  • The girl is very pretty... Until her eyes start moving all around and that shit scares me!

  • You make it look so easy!

  • if it gets stuck in ur eye does it hurt?

  • @rafaelcool12 , well, it may hurt, but the fit should be unacceptable fom the start. Your eye doctor is able to select a lens with a proper fit.

  • Isn't it true, do not apply contact lenses including eye-drops directly to the cornea? Could eventually promotes long-term damages to the eye in general? I've used contact lenses probably two times in my life and was advised NOT to apply directly to the cornea but instead insert the lenses at the outer corner of your eye? Is this true or not?

  • Well, any contact lens does VERY slight damage to the cornea, which is insignificant, but the benefits are much more important. But eopverybody should be sensible with the use of contact lenses and follow the instructions of his/her eye doctor.

Eye drops can be applied directly do the cornea, but it's smarter to apply them in the lower lid, as there is a smaller chance to spill them out.

  • @tevpar I see. Thank You :)

  • When i tried to put mine in that way they ended up getting folded and stuck between my bottom lid and eye. Yeah, I'm not trying it that way anymore.... ever

  • this is my fourth day... getting faster at putting them in... :)

  • Poor model ):

  • sandra bullock much?

  • i was wondering how do you know when its on your eye already? :D

  • @jasminrhea210 you see well?

  • @dydush oh i was just wondering

  • Shit my eyes got watery just from watching.

  • @KlTTYFAT haha same!

  • uhm, today is my second day wearing contacts. and i forgot how i was supposed to put them on this morning. so i just stared straight ahead into the mirror and put them on...is that bad? am i supposed to look up and then down or something?

  • That's perfectly OK!

  • i have those lenses to!

  • they make it look so simple. I tried for an hour and 20 minutes, and I still cant' put them in. :(

  • someone in my awana tnt (truth & training) he had eye contacts and idk wat he did and it got stuck and he had to go to the emergancey room :(

  • shes hot

  • OUCHIEZ! >.< if someone tried to do that to mean. id kick them and run.

  • wow, she`s beautiful

  • oh my gosh. I'm SO JEALOUS of that lady. She ROCKS with the contact lenses. Just sits there and acts like he doesn't feel a thing. Right now, my eyes are fighting with me when it comes to putting lens in. UGH. >.< I hate them atm. good video [:

  • no, this is so not true! once i accidentally got my lens stuck on the white part damn it and it hurted me a lot!!

  • @JoyceThe

Your lieing then. They are incredibly soft and don't hurt.

  • That's so easy

    Thank you !

  • @ZtellaStar. If there is air under it it's probably because ur not putting enough pressure on ur eye when u put them in. If that doesn't work, then close ur eye ( with the contact still in) and very lightly pat it with ur finger. DON'T RUB!! If u do it will cause it to fold.

  • @mkbitchin26 im having the same problem, i only had them for 2 days now but ima take ur advice

  • @RatherrUnique718 , ok thanks.

  • its like pulling out a quater from her eye O_O

  • When I put the lense in, some air always get stuck "under" it.. How do I avoid that?

  • I simply can't do this. I've been practicing for almost a month now, it's impossible for me!

  • is it possible that the lense can go behind your eye or something, like you accidentally put on the white part and you close your eye and it gets stuck between the eye and the lid?

  • No they can't, biy if your eyes are slightly outwards in respect to your face, they might move up 2-3 cm. They might also be trapped below the upper lid if the fit is not good.

  • @paramarabo it can move behind your eye (but it not only if you put your eyes blanck, it can be by accident), it has happened to me only once, and i tel you its very annoying and itchy

  • @paramarabo My friend had a lense behind his eye and had got it back the next morning lol

  • Comment removed

  • It might be on your eye, so go see your eye doctor.

  • yea, i went soon after, and it turned out that the lense had "drifted" because i damaged it, but thankyou for the advice

  • @SarahSauRc it can be the soap you're using, you should rinse your hands

  • yea, its possible, we did have different soap that day but i make sure i have dry hands before i try the lenses, oh well problem solved : ) thankyou for you advice!!

  • mine did that before, but i just assumed it was the solution

  • @SarahSauRc theres probably soap on your hands

  • This is a very helpful vid. I just bought some soft lenses and they are still sitting in the case. I could not get them in to save my life!

I think that my mistake was trying to apply it to my iris instead of the white and then sliding it over. I ended up inadvertently flipping my eyelid so far upward that my eyeball felt as if it were going to pop out!

  • There is a very slight chance that they will get out....

  • Can they teare easy?

  • Not SO easy, but if you are not careful at handling them (for example, if you have long fingernails), they might get teared.

  • is it easy for you to take it in and out by yourself???

  • After some practice, YES!

  • ahh..ok thanks..

  • I find this too complicated, what I do is just pulling down the lower lid and then inserting the lens (all done with one hand) while looking far in front of me, then look down and then blink.

  • I guess that you have big eyes with eyelids that don't fall over your eyes, that's why it's so easy for you?

  • I was so stupid before. I washed my contacts with water!!! I hope my vision dont get ruined.. But i used the lenses like 5 times.

  • Don't do that, your eyes might get infected, as water carries many germs. Rub and rinse them only with a proper cleaner, and a good one, as they are not all the same. Ask your eye doctor for more info.

  • lmao me too

  • i've had my contacts for a week now and im 14 yrs old btw. and after a day of wearing them it feels like nothing is there. i love them woot. and im pro at putting them in and takin em out.

  • i just can't do this! I just blink my eye so much :S

  • Great video! I'm new to contacts and still find it a bit hard to put them in/out. I do it just like in the video but i find it kind of hard to know if the contact lens has been pulled down to the white part of the eye or not (when removing them).

  • You should feel that with your finger, or by the change in vision that the lens causes by being pulled down.

  • I dunno if I still want to buy contact lenses anymore...looks kinda creepy when removing it....

  • Well, there is no other way!

  • You really shouldn't "scoop" them out. I put both of my fingers in there and squeeze it out.

  • What do you mean by 'scoop'?

  • well the person wiped the eye causing the contact to go to the eyelid. it may get infected that way and i wouldn't suggest it.

  • Actually, you can't just grab the lens and take it out, when the wearer is looking straight ahead. If you do, you'll likely press the limbus (the thin zone between the clear cornea and the sclera, the white of the eye), and cause great discomfort, as this zone has a lot of nerve supply. By looking up, dragging the lens down and then removing it, you actually pick up the lens from the sclera, and you avoid discomfort and irritation.

  • Both lids are in touch with the lens continuously during wear, so infection cannot occur in regular use. If the is a blepharitis, (inflammation of the lids), the wearer simply should not wear lenses for a while. If on the other hand the lenses are infected, they simply should be discarded.

  • wow it would be really hard for me to trust someone with my eye.....

  • are they visible to naked eye, for others, once u put them on?

  • No, they are not!

  • @devkamal Yeah

  • yes. If you look very hard, you can see an outline of the contact

  • @devkamal yes others can see it, but only if theyre really close, like i dont think they can see it if your talking to them

  • now .....how do you keep your eyes from blinking...?anyhting that gets to about a couple of cm frm my eyes automatically causes em to blink... :(

  • You have to hold the lids with the fingers, just as shown on the video! If you do it right and firmly, they won't be able to close.

  • thanks for the video. I was having a ton of trouble but now i should be able to get them in within five minutes :)

  • hello i am trying to put my new contacts in but they keep on folding back and sticking on my finger not my eye ball any help would be really appreciated

  • theyre too dry when theyre contacting you eye try putting a few drops of solution on them then try again, practice makes perfect...

but if nobodys perfect why practice

seriously tho youll get better at putting them in

  • going to try it wish me luck :D

  • finally they are in my eyes thanks alot man

  • im 13 and i just put it straight onto the couloured paart i find sometimes it will fal out if ou put it ojn the white

  • Well, if it works for you, that's perfectly OK

  • are you supposed to put on contacts before or after makeup?

  • before according to my eye doctor

  • Before, as otherwise the make up might contaminate the lens.

  • @xnimporte yes

  • @xnimporte before ALWAYS

  • @xnimporte put ur contact lens on before make up and remove it before remove ur make up.

  • @xnimporte Betteerr Beefoorreee! So u dnt smugglee the makeup

  • @xnimporte Before, so nothing gets onto the bottom of the lenses, which is what you put on, then you'll have something scratching your eye.

  • @xnimporte before

  • @xnimporte before, you hands/face has to be fresh clean, after applied do what you want :)

  • @xnimporte You'r suppoused to put the contacts before.

  • @xnimporte before

  • @xnimporte before!!!

  • @xnimporte Before, it's easier and if u put on some mascara first and u pull your lid up then the mascara doesn't look good anymore

  • thats kinda bad that you put it on the white part of the eyes ..

  • Well, it's not bad at all, and many people are afraid to look straight at the lens as they put it on.

  • I find it easier to put on directly on the coloured part of the eye, is that safe?

  • Yes, it is safe. Most experienced users put it on that way.

  • Doesn't scrunching up the contact like that upon removal screw it up and make it uncomfortable to wear?

  • Actually one should be careful not to squeeze too much the contact lens, as the additive stress might result in tearing of the lens. The right way is to punch it out with a very gentle squeeze, so that the edges of the lens do not come in contact.

  • i can't c how u get it out

  • You should use your thumband index finger, and gently punch out the lens, with gentle strenght.

  • shes hot.

  • this woman is beautiful

  • i hv used soft lenses many years but not sure for hybrid lens could insert nd remove like soft lens or not....this Vid is very useful, ty x

  • Hybrid lense should be generally inserted and removed like RGPs. Have a look at my other vids about RGPs.

  • omg how do you do that i was trying for an hour and still cant get it in

  • The trick is to hold firmly the upper lid, otherwise it will close, as you put the lens on the eye.

  • i can get my contacts out so easy but puttin them in takes forever! i dont get it! but then again i've only had them for like 3 days...

  • Go on, and you should be an expert in about a month or so...

  • Her eyes are lovely

  • Stick on the technique, and eventually sensation will cease after a week or so.

  • i just learnt today and i learnt very fast apparently but i hate takin them out, my eyelids are not very stretchy either, they are hard to open so wide even though i have big eyes

  • man that looks simple.... i just need a optometrist...to be at my house every morning

  • Hmm! that looks easy but my lens takes an age to break contact with the tip of my finger ( i also have long nails) ? It doesnt take me too long, but several attempts........ but I will try your way as the movement of the eye may help with the unlatching off my index finger!

  • Try placing the contact on the side of your finger inside of on the underside to place in you eye. It takes a while to learn but works well with long fingernails.

  • Yep, we couldn't avoid that...

  • ur hand waz in the waii wehn u were pullin it out

  • That means that you have myopia. I suppose that it is not high, up to 1 diopter maybe. In myopia what happens, is what your opticians told you. The eye is more optically powered than it's supposed to be, and so it cannot focus at far objects, just at nearby ones.

  • im short sighted. i can only see about to metres clearly, the optitions said that my eyes are really powerful and thats why everything gets distort after 2 mtrs, i didnt understand what she ment. can u explain it do u reckon

  • yeah. if only I had a personal maid to put mine in for me too. then it would all be better. haha. I suck at doing that. you make it look so smooth. I guess I don't have extra hands and I've only done it for a day though. =p Does it get easier?

  • Well, after a week or so you should be an expert at doing this. it dificult for everyone at the first time.

  • thanks =]

  • i went to the optitions yesterday and they said i have powerful eyes, although i cant see from about 2mtrs.. do u no what they mean. and my eye number thing :S is about 3 they said

  • you're far sighted most likely and 3 is just the prescription of your glasses. I know this because I am also far sighted and I know that because of that it's easier for me to focus than someone who is near sighted. I don't know why that is. far sighted people (usually) constantly keep their eye muscles taut to focus. that's what he means by strong i guess. I went to the eye doctor yesterday and got contacts. =]

  • Well, my myopia is about -6.50 diopters (that's a full six and a half), if that makes you feel better!!! You just have moderate myopia.

  • That will happen only if the fit is poor (the correct fit is the responsibility of your eye doctor), and if you do not care and clean them properly. If deposits accumulate on the lenses, they might scratch your eyes, so proper hygiene is essential.

  • Wow, I hope it is as easy as it looks! I wore glasses for 10 years (a whole decade!) and I'm thinking of getting contacts. Is it true that putting them on and off all the time will scratch your eyes permanently like that??? I'm scared.

  • this guy stretched her lids do far, he sucks

  • That what he should do, if he deals with a first time wearer.

  • I always blink when i try to put on contacts... I'm having a lot of trouble keeping my eyes open. And taking them off as well... =( any suggestions ?

my optometrist told me to buy soft hydrogel lenses which is what i have because of my partly dry eyes.

  • Get your arm above your head, and grab your upper eyelid from its lower portion. If i did this to you, you would find that it's impossible to close your eyes!

If your lenses get dry before, let's say, 8 hours of wear, you should try a lens material with less water, as these dehydrate less.

  • I wear glasses but im thinking about getting contacts. I do have bad vision, im short sighted.

    What would u suggest?

  • Well, you don't have bad vision, you just have myopia. If you wear glasses or contacts, your vision is OK again. How big is your myopia? Mine is -6.50, in comparison. As your myopia is expected to change until you become an adult, i would suggest two things: First, you can be fitted with monthly disposable lenses, but don't buy them from the Internet. You should go to na eye doctor to be fitted. Second, you can try Ortho-K lenses, that are worn during sleep, and reduce myopia.

  • Ortho-K lenses are fitted only by specialized eye doctors, but they are worth a try. However, your myopia must be up to -5.00 maximum

  • I not sure what it is. I can only see things that are about proberly properly 2metres away, for example someones face or something.

  • That sounds like small myopia or astigmatism. If that's the case, ortho-K lenses are a good option.

  • my eyes are small

  • Well, you should wear small contact lenses! There are small diameter lenses on the market, so ask for them.

  • looks easy

    but its pretty damm hard..

  • i know.

  • It doesn't look like the optometrist in the video had alot of experience on putting in contacts, if he kept doing that, the contacts could infact get stuck on the bottom there and she'd have a hard time getting them out, and those contacts would hurt alot since he kept touching them taking off the solution that kept the contacts moise and soft.

  • I don't quite agree; If you instruct the wearer to look down, immediately after insertion, the lens will center by itself. The video is deliberately a little slow, as we wanted to show the procedure in detail.

  • Thanks for shedding light on that matter for me, instead of those asshats that start to flame when they get the chance.

  • that looks so painful!! i want to get contacts but im scared!:[

  • Contact lenses are not painful! When you wear them the first time, there is only mild discomfort, which goes away after one or two minutes. After a week or so, you won't feel them at all.

  • Well, there is a reason that one lens fits you and the other does not. You should have a contact lens exam by a specialist, that involves corneal topography and tear evaluation. That way, you will know from the beggining which lenses are better for you.

  • i use monthly disposable lens..

    copper vision is best

and bausch and lomb is a fucked up lens ...jus 3-4 days of comfort then the lens and ur 250 bucks r in vain..

  • I tried the pinching technique to take out my lens, and that's how I tore my right contact in the center.... I have a girl curve to my nails (upside down "u" curve) and even if I cut my nails to where there's no white, my nails still contact anything else before the skin, so I guess that's how I tore it.

  • You should not take out the lens with the fingertips, but rather with the inside part of the finger (the part from where fingerprints come). That way the nails won't touch the lens.

  • I wanna get contacts but it sounds painful and scary =[

  • na.. I use this way is much better then the standard! Put the lens in the white part and after it will be stabilize!

  • It's not painful at all. Just a little discomfort in the beginning, that goes away quickly.

  • thanx u so much! i tried putting them in that way and it worked thanxs!

  • id tap tht

  • It's a lot easier for someone who has huge eye balls like the lady in the video. Not so easy for smaller, slanted or squinty eyed people.

  • That's right, but the technique is the same; This will facilitate insertion and removal,no matter how wide is the space between the eyelids.

  • do contact lens sometimes dangerous?

  • No, if you take care of them properly and follow the wearing schedule that your eye doctor gave tou.

  • i couldnt see them taking it out the persons hand was in the way :'(

    =((

  • i remember im first contacts thoose were the days scary crying and laghing and my beutifulness with that green. contacts are sacary tho

  • lift upper lid looking down

then look up, lift bottom lid

    while still looking up

    gently place on contacts

    then look down

    blink

    blink

    open eyes!

  • That's perfect! Just remember to blink gently, or the lens might be squezzed out. Putting the lens on while looking down might also work.

  • my doctor told me to close my eye and squeeze to that it adheres(sp?) to my eye right away, and then I can blink while it shifts to the cornea.

  • Jst make sure to squeeze them jently, as otherwise they can pop out, if there is a bubble under the lens. you can also reposition them on the eye with your finger or with the help of your lower eyelid

  • Yeah, they keep popping out on me. =/ But, once I get them to stay in, I haven't had any trouble with them moving to their correct place.

  • thanks for that video! i have lenses for 1 week now and I can put them on, but I could never take them off :< My mother always takes them off :D But now i'll try to do it as in shown this video :D

  • Well, some people look on YouTube not only for entertainment, but also for information. I don't intend to post entertaining videos, just informative ones.

  • i think this video do help people because when i use to put my lens it took me lots of time and practice but then i still wasnt sure until i saw this vid thnx

  • oh wie ich kontaktlinsen hasse xD

  • Hmmm... Maybe in English, please?

  • oh, sorry^^

i said that i hate putting in contact lenses.

  • Why's that?

  • because everytime i try it, it doesn't work^^ my eyes don't want this contact lenses...and then it hurts and my eyes are full of tears...and...well, that is not tooooo nice^^

  • Well, if you can't put them on, then you should carefully watch the video and do exactly as you see. If you put them and then your eyes hurt, then you should change lenses and find a type that fits you better. You wear soft lenses?

  • yes, i wear...or try to =) soft lenses...when my mum or a friend helps me, it is no real problem, but if i try to do that on my own, it's a desaster :D

but i have not too bad eyes, so i sometimes go out without galsses or lenses, but in school it's a problem

    but thanks for your tips
