That bore brush that you are using, maby its just me but it doesnt look like a 9mm bore brush. Im not hating or nothin but would be easier with the proper brush.

Thank you for posting this video...I just recently bought this gun and had a little trouble taking it apart and putting it back together (for a female I think I have it down pat now) want to clean it good before I shoot a few rounds in it. I had shot a Glock before I got this gun so for starters I think this 9mm will be just fine!
@johnvines what you're talking about is the slide release. That release is held up by the spring tension in the magazine and if you pull the slide all the way back, the release is really easy to hold down.
@nitefox2k Sure no problem, in fact I have found a better way to clean this pistol, its called "The best way to clean a handgun". If your interested just go watch and thanks for the awesome comment!!
Thanks for the information. First video I've seen to show an example of the PT 111 cleaning. I had a question, I thought you it wasn't good to put excessive oil in the firing pin channel, to prevent garbage building up and slow the action down.
@dominican4real It can be, but since rem oil is such a dry oil it wont harm anything. I actually have a newer video on how to clean a pistol if you are interested
@dominican4real . Do you or have you ever taken the firing pin out and cleaned it? I've seen very few videos on firing pin removal and cleaning/ lubrication. BUt the video quality is bad where you can't see clearly. This is more like a training pistol like you said. Its been a pretty good gun no problems at all. I have kids so I'm big on safety. Thinking about a kimber 1911, XDM40Cal or a Glock23 for the various upgrades you can purchase.
@dominican4real Nah I have never done that, its not necessary and its they are such a bitch to get back in. All those guns are great you will have no issues with them.
@zeromatics101 You bought a gun and didn't know how to clean it before hand? Wtf! Another idiot that shouldn't have a gun!! How many of you drive without knowing b4? If you don't know everything about your firearm b4 you buy you shouldn't be buying one.
@TTBlackOPS Its okay man, everybody has to start somewhere. Thanks for the comment though, I do see a lot of people that should not own a gun that do on YouTube.
hey man, i found your video very helpful. when i was cleaning i think i put to much oil bc when i tool it out my holister, there was oil on the rail and stuff...but thanks for the vid...and btw the shirts are sick!
its funny hicap cant tell you why rem oil sucks my personal friend owns a gunstore and has gunsmithed for 30 years... he uses rem oil so i will use rem oil....
dude rem oil rocks it has teflon which makes it sick for better lubrication, that douche doesnt know what he is talking about....rem oil is all i use and break free but it smells like shit
It's important to stroke it 30-50 times........LMAO!!

The best thing for a PT111 is a bag and a hammer ! Mine had to be sent back to Taurus 3 times !!!!
