  • U of D Titans are giant-killers (No one calls them UDM unless in an "official capacity"). The following year they beat UCLA. I remember as a kid growing up there when Dick Vitale's U of D Titans beat Al McGuire's undefeated #1 ranked Marquette team (with the shirts tucked out). Dennis Boyd nails a long jumper (this is before the 3-pt line) to beat them and Dickie V runs out there to do his dance.
