  • I don't know why I click on the 'like" button. Of course I like it, it is some of the most beautiful guitar I've ever heard!

  • Thank you! I am happy you clicked the LIKE button! :)

    Please keep listening to me.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Just curious: How many guitars do you have, Mr. Per-Olov? By the way, I listen to you daily.

  • Hi there,

I only have three guitars: This one (Philippe jean-Mairet) a Per Hallgren (2011) and a 7 stringed by John & Judy Rogerson (2009)

    Thanks for listening to me.

    Per-Olov

  • Amazing piece of music. Performed to excellence. Thank you for the entertainment.

  • Thank you Alex. I am happy and honored you listen to me.

    Please keep doing that.

    Kind regards,

    Per-Olov

  • This beautiful melody touches me deeply.

    Thank you!

    All the best

    Wolfgang

  • I have been listening to this for days now and just want to say thank you for this piece. It is absolutely beautiful and takes on new meaning for me.

  • Hi there! Thank you for listening to me. I am honored. Please keep doing that without getting tired of me.

    Kindly,

    Per-olov

  • just beautiful.

  • Thank you!

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Bravo Per-Olov! You are inspired... lucky Mari!

  • As many already mentioned, the word SAUDADE is not easy to translate. I once heard that it only exists in Portuguese. You can translate as missing and longing for someone/something but the word itself is just magic. It can also been used in the plural SAUDADES.

Great song and amazing classical guitar. Hälsning från Sverige.

  • Beautiful Sound :)

  • Very nice! Thank you. (TS)

  • Saudade is basically the term we use in the portuguese language (and therefore in Brasil) to express the feeling of miss someone, something, or some moment in time. People say that it is a word that only exist in portuguese, but the feeling is well known for everyboy (I guess).

We can translate the sentence ''Que saudade de você'' as "I miss you'' . The diference is that "saudade" is a feeling, like love or hate.

  • beautifull song, greetins from curitiba, Brasil! And I really do feel ''saudades' of my girlfriend, she's living in Holand for six monhs now,and will come back only in august...

    miss you

  • Per,

I have had one year of training, way too less to follow your beautiful steps

but I downloaded the sheetmusic and I vowed to myself I'm going to play it one day

you blessed me and so did Marie as she inspired you

    Thanks

  • The first movement in D-minor (if I'm not mistaken) represents the missing of something or someone, wether it is something that happened, or someone who's gone or something that simply is not there. The second movement in D major, represents how would it be if that something or someone was still there or simply were there. The last movement in D-minor represents a sudden back to reality. Or at least that's the way I feel it. Excellent music.

  • WOW! What a great interpretation! You are almost 100% correct.

    Thank you!

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo I liked this song so much that I even bought the music sheet from your website. Once I master it I'll post a video response.

  • @DarkCrow02 GOOGLE FTW!!

  • "Saudade" is one of the beautifuls words in the portuguese language. Means a lot of feelings about a person or thing that u love and miss so much.

This song makes me relax and smile. Is like a summer breeze in late afternoon.

    Greetings from Rio de Janeiro

  • Thank you! I love the word Saudade.... I am honored you listen to me.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a musical 2011!

    Per-Olov

  • Beautiful!! As for all your other videos. Saudade is a portuguese word, and it is surely a great inspiration for music. I recommend for you to listen to the portuguese guitar from Carlos Paredes, Octávio Sérgio and Pedro Caldeira Cabral.

  • Genious!!

  • It's so beautiful....*clap clap clap*

  • Querido Per, Gracias por esta hermoza musica, que bella inspiracion.

  • Hola.

    Muchas gracias! I am honored.

    Saludos desde Suecia.

    Per-Olov

  • Saudade is a portuguese word, that only exist in portugal

  • @henriquenirvanales8D it exists in Brazil too...

  • @youvitor i forgot that xD

  • Again...glad I found you...I lived in Brasil for 20 years...and miss being surrounded by beautiful people...and beautiful music...everyone it seemed played guitars...it was how we 'spoke' to one another...I have so much to learn about you! :) I'm heading to FaceBook to see if you are there! x

  • i wish that i can become such a good player, like you someday.

    your an inspiration!

  • Beautiful!!

    Thank you very much!

    ;)

  • Very nice composition. I was listening trying to feel as if the song described what "Saudade" is. And I think it really did.

Just correcting what you said: Saudade is not something that probably cannot exist. But is a strong feeling about the lack of someone or something. It is often nostalgic but it can also be hopeful towards the future. But it is always about something good. It's a nice feeling that hurts inside and makes you want badly what you miss...

  • hi its me again ... amm did u compose this piece ? :)

i love the way u play with passion u make me fall inlove with u ..

    keep it up ... amazing

  • that sounded very nice. I often wonder what it would have been like if I would have learned to read music beyond just basics. I would so love to look at a sheet of music and just know what it would sound like. Very beautiful and calming.

  • Could've said Saudade is a Portuguese word. Impressive Masterpiece. =)

  • Beautiful and captivating!

  • Great ! It is just perfect !

  • waaaaaa YOU BEEN IN DUBLIN???!!!! awww could had my chance to see you if only i knew you where here..... did u do any concerts in ireland???

  • Peo My dear, your music is perfect!

Thanks for the thrill through his great talent!

May God continue to bless you.

    Kelvin Borrero

  • Maestro!

  • Thank You Per-Olov for sharing your recording tips with us, I have often wondered how you recorded your performances, I you must have an amp to get that rich volume from a classical guitar, but simply you play in a room with good acoustic quality, no noise, (always Noisy in my home, even the birds are constantly joining in LOL), a quality video camera, and a good Mic. So simple...

Nothing simple about your beautiful music I enjoy so much.

    -Erwin

  • Another wonderful song... It does sound like SAUDADE to me. Saudades da minha terra, amigos, lugares que eu visitava enquanto era menino, e do tempo que passou e não volta mais...

Linda música my brother! Too much emotion. Thanks for sharing another one of your treasures.

    GoYaMoOn

  • I love the flowing melody line and the romantic feel!

    Very emotional.. Thanks!

  • Very beautyfull!! thank you! which guitar are you using? which bood have?? sorry for my english I am from Argentina... hope you understund...

  • Per-Olov,

I love your music, very gentle, expressive, and graceful. I've been trying to write and your stlye of playing has been inspiring. Do you have any tips you could share? Do you come up with your melody first? How do you go about writing your pieces?

  • I like this very, very much, thank you!!

    Helena

  • You're an inspiration not only as the ultimate Master but also as a human being. Your compositions reveal so much of your feelings and thoughts, furthermost your willingness to share what's behind each one of them is very much appreciated by your fans around the world. Thanks for being Per-Olov, the musician, and the Renaissance Man.

    Best regards, Bob.

  • wow

  • Hola Per, has escuchado alguna vez, Cinzhas de Paulinho Moska? Sería genial que la tocaras.

    Saludos desde Colombia

  • Your compositions are always so peaceful. I'll be using your compositions for my college recitals this year. Keep writing! I love your pieces! -Christian

  • Dear Per-Olov

Your music makes my days a little more relaxed. Thank you for all your beautiful videos.

What kind of recording device do you use to capture the guitar and video so perfectly? Do you have a special camera?

    Warm regards,

    Jason

  • Dear Jason,

Thank you. i am happy you listen to me.

I have a Canon HD camcorder (a good one but not special) and I attach a VERY good mic to it. (AKG C 480 B) via a mixer. That's it. Sometimes I add a little reverb to the recording but not in this one. It is a big room...

    Good luck!

    Per-Olov

  • Really beautiful and touching performance :) Im happy to say that "Saudade" is part of my language as i am brazilian and i speak portuguese, Saudade can be a terrible or a good feeling. Its really a hard word to explain!

P.S: I love acoustics as i play one myself, but i also have my Metal side which makes me love even more Sweden and all Scandinavia :D, not only the folk metal but i also love your country music, beign folk, classical or whatever.

    Cheers from Brazil!

  • So beautiful. I almost wept. Please continue to make this amazing music.

Your #1 fan from Fort Worth, Texas

  • A very nice song again...

  • Very inspiring. Thanks ---------------Paul

  • I love it. A technical question for you. What do you use to keep your guitar in position? I notice it is not your knee. As an arthritic guitarist, I'm always looking for a more comfortable way to sit and still see my hands.

  • Odd enough, I don't find it as melancolic as for a lost lover, but as hopefull enough as a lost lover who will come back.

In other words, I miss the girl who used to love me, and this piece reminds me the hope that she will come back.

Lovely music, and if I wanted to say something mean it would be out of jealousy. Keep up the good work.

  • hermosa melodia!

    = )

    gracias.

  • Per-Olov: mil gracias por esta preciosa melodía y por tu generosidad en compartirla.

  • looks like somebody accidentally pressed dislike

  • Beautifully played. Your music is very touching. I find myself coming to your videos when I am stressed. The music does wonders for my soul!

  • Belíssimo.

  • Loved it. Very beautiful. Also liked the add and wished to be in the So of France for that one.

  • Your description of Saudade and how you felt leaving Marie made this song even more beautiful than it already is! You are a rare soul and a gifted musician. This combination has created brilliance that somehow transcends much beauty beyond the music. Blessings to both you and Marie! min:-)

  • You're wonderful music lifts my heart everytime I hear it

    Thank you

    Janie

  • You're wonderful music always lifts my heart

    Thank you so much

    Janie

  • Again, your music gave me a wonderful, inspirational and relaxing moment. Thank you. I love listening to your guitar.

  • Fantastic!! :)

  • Why? I've just liked the song... At this moment I'm learning Sueno :) and then I'll have 6 Tarrega's songs. Your videos always helped me to learn all of them :) I think next I'll get Marieta ^^

  • Saudade is a word from my country, Portugal. you are amazing Per-Olov, and it is such a pleasure to hear you play the guitar. it's really beautiful. so thank you, for having that gift, and be a true inspiration to us all. :)

  • After two hard days this was the one thing I needed to come down...

Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.

  • Perfection, as usual

    Are you ready for Cuba?

    Peo

  • Very Nice Sound, and yes I loved it! All the best-Steve from Canada

  • Dear Per-Olov,

it's simply wonderful to listen how you express deep emotions with music! Great or deeply touching moments may bear great music. Music begins where words end.

    Kind regards

    Robert

  • thanks a lot for your sharing.^^

  • Only great moments of joy are capable of creating such sadenes. Such is the fate of mankind, whereby one (joy)cannot exist without the other (sadness). Iwish you many more sad moments....:-)

  • Thanks my friend... I guess... :) But you are right. Life is a balance between joy and sadness. Hopefully more joy than sadness...

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo No need to guess, if you consider me a friend I am honored and would not do anything to change that! As for more joy then sadness I am sorry to say that it's quite rare as it would then no longer be in balance...hehehe...:-)

I am so sad that July 24th looks very difficult for me to make the trip to Paris!!! But not yet impossible. Will you be giving your fans more details as to where and how we can go and hear and see you play?

  • Dear Josie,

Thank you. Yes, great word, isn't it?

All the best in the heat!

    Per-Olov

  • HAHA! That is a scary and nice comment at the same time! Thanks, I guess... LOl

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • You have found the right mood in this music...definite influences of Barrios.

    A fine composition.

    Thanks for sharing with us.

  • Hi there. Thanks. Appreciated. I guess you are right that I was influenced by Barrios... never thought about that really.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Beautiful.... Thank you.

  • Thank YOU! I am happy you listen to me.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Strange.... I can't hear any Dublin in here (most familiar) nor McCartney (whom I know).... nor Berlin (familiar also), or Lund which surprisingly enough I do NOT know.... but HEY, PeO, your music always brings us new horisons, it broadens our views of life of which we are not aware of or we might think we are but we are so often mistaken....I am glad you make us contemplate of what has been and what may be ahead ....in a utmost friendly approach to co-existance!

    THANK YOU!

    You know who ;)

  • Hi there 'I know who' :)

Thank you for your great comment. No, I didn't compose this with Dublin, Sir Paul or any of this in ind. I just wanted to express my feelings after Marie left...

Have a great weekend, my friend,

    Per-Olov

  • what a pleasure to hear your guitar gently sing

  • Thank you!

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Simply wonderful. Again, I can only hope to one tay be able to play with such feeling and be able to put that kind of emotion into music. Thank you, Per-Olov!

    Michael

  • Hi Michael.

    Urban

  • Hi there! :) Thanks a lot, my friend.

Stay cooool! We have 32 C right now in Sweden. Better take a swim today. :)

    PO

  • Great music... It looks like you had some pretty nice holidays :P... Here in Portugal the term "Saudade" is very caractheristic of our culture... It's like the typically portuguese feeling.... Here in Portugal we define "Saudade" as the feeling you get when you're away from someone that is important to you... Like Marie... Great music.. Divinal as always.

  • Thank you very much. Yes, that is exactly what I wanted to express in this piece.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Hi Per, I'm overdue in commenting on your videos, sorry! I'm playing catch up. This one is of extraordinary beauty. Congrats!

  • brilliant!

  • Simply beautiful .Thank you for expressing in simple words the subtle feeling of "Saudade" .Incredible and interesting the impossibility to translate a word in another language ,isn't it ? Cheers .Claude

  • Thank you Claude for commenting and listening. Appreciated.

    Per-Olov

  • I don't know the story but simply ask, "Why don't you both just BE together?"

    Living somewhere is just that.

Can't you be anywhere and live together... wherever that place IS?

  • #LOL

I wish it was that simple! Don't think we didn't try and still are trying but there are many reasons we can't at the moment. :(

I hope someday... NO, I believe some day!

I think there could be a good book, movie about our situation. :) I'll tell you in my memories!

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov
