i wouldn't listen to this, and i am not talking shit on their skill or the music, it's just not my thing, but the name of the song is fucking hilarious.
@blotchy67 Oh, without a doubt! In fact, their page on Prosthetic calls them "a mixture of King Crimson, all periods of John Coltrane’s career, Tortoise, and Napalm Death", which I find to be pretty damn accurate!
My comments long ago about Mastodon were not meant to be in a negative connotation, this band is phenominal. I can still hear the saxophone which is extrememly important here, this band is beautiful and heart crushing, I love it very much.
Mastodon with Saxophones!!! I will dub thee SaxaMaDOn and you will rock hard and mighty. Good job here, video is fantastic. I hope Yakuza continue rocking hard.
I'm not a fan of music videos, but this one was really cool, very Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. And as good it is to see a Yakuza vid with more than 10,000 views, as sad is it to see the ignorant music noobs commenting negatively on things they don't even come close to understanding. This fucking is in the album of the year 2007! Yes, ahead of In Rainbows, Neon Bible and Ire Works (though they are awesome as well)! The sax melody after the come-down at 2:10 is world-slaying, or world-enlightening!
If you guys like metal+jazz then I'd suggest Candiria, listen to some of their stuff from The Process Of Self Development and you'll see what I'm talking about
I've just begun listening to the works of Yakuza, and am glad there's a music video. I listen to this, when I've heard so much generic metal/emo/screamo/death/hard/core that I want to gouge out my eyes with spoons.
Have you listened to the Plot to Blow up the Eiffel Tower? If not, you'd like them too. Not metal with jazz, but I also dig Horse the Band. Message me with any bands you find? I'd LOVE to find new bands trying some new and cool things, Yakuza is AMAZING (for the hell of it, look up Yakuza Heart Attack, an interesting indie band) and I'd love more to add to that rotation. Even though my channel is all punk videos ;-)
Hey prosthetic, i really like your guyses bands and sound and how you actually coment back to guys on your vids, anyway, i live in virginia and i would really like if i could be an intern or something. I also know some local bands you might like to sign
Greetigs from Spain and thank you so much for this video. I have to admit that I only heared of Yakuza because my friend Antonio told me that he loves them so much. In fact, he flew last week from Almería to San Francisco (USA) because he wishes to see them performing live. Don´t blame him though!
son, its you father. i know your upset since mom and i broke up and i joined an 'art metal' band bu I NEED THIS. and i cannot stand by and watch your generation continually churn out bland, homogenized horsehsit music and buy into it. i love you son, but you disappoint me. dad

What the fuck is these peoples deal?
Their instrumentals are decent. Singer is boring and spends way to long writing his lyrics which dont completely make sense.
When he starts going all screamo you cant even understand him.
I dont understand why this crap has a following.

Hi, Prosthetic Records. I was wondering if there's any way I can get hold of Samsara's lyrics?
Revan2021 3 years ago
They actually weren't in the booklet artwork for Samsara. Your best bet might be to hit up the band themselves!
