  • cool stuff

  • Und stellte ich mir den Heiligen Geist als Fliege vor, statt als Taube, so sei's drum. Jeder dumme Junge kann einen Käfer töten, aber aller Professoren der Welt können keinen herstellen.

  • Why would you hurt it badly at the end wtf?

  • why am i watching this?

  • Brutal Scratch at the end.

  • It is a kinda cute video, the toad's not actually being hurt and is obviously cool enough with the situation that he doesn't jump away but no, he's not enjoying it one bit. The stomach is his most sensitive area, he's trying to protect that along with his eyes (see how he really dives down with his head when it's being touched). Toads can learn to accept human touch very slowly and might appreciate the warmth from your hands after a while but that's about it.

  • lol at 0:41 the way the frog puts his head down like " AWHH YES SCRATCH IT GOOD MMHMMMM"

  • Cutest. Bulbasaur. Ever.

  • Seriously, guys, it's supposed to be a cute video. Stop telling the uploader what the toad is really doing...

  • i hope you didnt lick your finger afterwards

  • 0:17 your finger made his face hit the floor

  • Dammit, now Im gona have to scroll all the way down to read one by one all the comments to find nickprs7's comment =S

  • Scratchy toad? My two turtles liked the same thing......only more vigorously. AMF.

  • Ahah this is so cute!

thing is the toad actually does not enjoy this at all... oh well. Still cute!

  • I think the toad's trying to make itself appear larger in an effort to make you not want to eat it. this can work on small snakes. Although it looks really cute, the toad is probably freaking out.

  • 4 jealous toads disliked this

  • @hammerhandzs It's not wise to ask for thumbs up for hating toads on a video for those who love them, as a result you got only negative votes.

  • i found a huge toad when i was living in florida and let it go in the house to scare my roomates. it didnt work so i threw it to the aligator in the swamp behind our house so it could eat it (which it did) lol

  • @TheWaynelds Well, let it be known you killed one animal, and made another sick you fucking moron.

  • @Sumgui2009 go jump in an albutrarium.

  • @TheWaynelds make me.You caused suffering in two animals with your stupidity.

  • @Sumgui2009 snakes and other large reptiles eat frogs/toad all the time. The alligator swallowed the thing before the toad even knew what was going on. The only toads that do major damage is the Cain toads in austrailia.

  • @TheWaynelds Actualy, they don't. They eat frogs. Toads secrete poison. The fact the toad was so large, most likely made it a Cane Toad that was a pet at some point. They are extremely toxic.

  • @Sumgui2009 it was kind of a greenish brown and i found it in the park down the street with a bunch of other toads around the same size, so i assumed they were native to the area. I never heard of cane toads being seen anywhere else other than Austrailia and their nativeland (i forget where that is) It also wasnt very aggressive as i hear canetoads are. Well i've since then moved back up north, so no more throwing toads in the alligator infested swamp here.

  • yea right there ahhhhhhhh oh a little to the left ahhhhh yeaaaaa this is the life

  • soooo cute

  • This is adorable!!! So cute!!! I love this video. :)

  • So if the toad hates this shit so much why doesn't he run away? Instead, he leans into it like a purring cat or a loving dog would.

  • I Think he likes it :D hes like OOHHH YEAH THAT FEELS GREAT!

  • Actually that's what toads do when they're threatened-- see those enlarged bumps near the back of his head/on the back of his neck? Those are poison glands. He's trying to put those as close to the touch as possible to poison the "predator" to get them to leave it alone. Hope they washed their hands! :D

  • @ridiculousranger Lots of toads dont have poison glands though..

  • The problem is: That's what a toad does when it HATES something really bad - so poor toad...

but it looks epic-cute <3 xD

  • @Oxyhaloinae how do you know that?

  • That is so CUTE.The toad looks like he's enjoying himself. He's like ''ohh! Right there!,now a lil to the left,ah ah ahhhhhh..you got it!'' lol

  • What kind?

  • LIKE A BOSS!

  • Forever alone..

  • maybe toads are just frogs that have a disease where they get itchy ass bumps, and they like to be scratched.. lol

  • who said animals don't have feelings

  • What a lucky toad getting the luxury spa treatment!

    X3

  • wartssssssss

  • stop masturbating the frog!

  • tha's so cute, I love frogs, but this behavior means: "get out". He's so cute, but he's not taking this like a tenderness.

  • he's just afraid, man!

  • The cane toad excretes posion from its glands around its skin. When eaten they can kill . They usually excrete from the side

  • @pureefficient This isnt a cane toad... Its a north american toad.

  • This is the best video on YouTube! Hands down!

  • Feels good, man.

  • I always thought that toads are the cutest creatures in our world.

  • 0:23 you found the g-spot. XD

  • Urghhh i fooking hate frogs/toads...but this is rather cute ???

  • 0:40 "Ow! My eye!"

  • Weird.. My pacman frog does the same thing. And it's not that he likes it. In fact he hates it, eventually turns around, and looks for whatever it is scratching, petting, or rubbing him and attacks it...

  • dont know if they likes it. cuz they get big like a balloon for warning and threatening enemies. but they do that to attract females sometime?

  • Toad: SCRATCH ME!

    Person: Ok ok *Scratch scratch*

Toad: Oh yeah thats the stuff wait wait... a little bit to the right... ahh yeah right ther enow back to the left please

    Person: Hehe.... Toads need some love too i guess ^_^;;;;

  • lol!

  • Ooooh yeah that's the ticket!

  • I had no idea certain Toads like to be scratched that was Tres Cute!!

  • haha its like a robot

  • That's so cute! o:

  • Bahahaha

  • maybe its ticklish and hes saying 'oh god that TICKLES!!!!! ' lol.

  • lol its funny when you scratch the toads head, the toads head goe on the floor 0:12 - 0:19

  • Some toads secrete a poison from glands behind their eye, and they'll aim those at what they perceive as predators (you poking him is threatening) my leaning their backs into them. So, he's really trying to defend himself hee. Cute toad though, I love them bumpy swamp crawlers :D

  • I've never seen such an adorable toad

  • omg so cute!!!

  • óun *-*

  • No, just princes.

  • can u get warts from toads and frogs

  • it is also a defense mechanism for them to tilt to the side towards a perceived threat to make themselves look bigger. They can't really run away so they try to appear big and secrete poison. I am not saying it is impossible that this toad is enjoying this and I do not think it is being traumatized or anything.

  • TOO CUTE!

  • i dont know anything about frogs, but someone pointed out its eyes looks relaxed and they are breathing normally, i dont think they are being distressed, quite opposite if they respond

  • i have a pet toad and he likes to be scratched just like that. i really love my pet frog, this helps.

  • you gotta give it up ( GIVE UP THE TOAD NOW ) oooh oooh oooohh

  • it is a defense mechanism, the toad shows off his highly toxic parotiod glands in the direction it is being approached from so that you don't eat it. i doubt it enjoyed the experience, other then the fact that he wasn't eaten

  • yes, true. But so much less fun.

Nothing wrong with feeling affection for our animal friends; some of us very much enjoy that bond. Personally I love toads. They're gentle, they're funny, they're fat and lumpy. What's not to love?

But if a tender spot for animals isn't your thing, ok.

Personally, I toadally don't understand that mind-set--it's so far from my frame of reference-- but as long as you don't hurt them....

  • "Would you mind scratching behind my right ear? I can never seem to reach it."

    XD XD XD XD XD

  • Unbelievably Kawaii!!!

  • this is so CUTE. i love how he closes his eyes when you scratch the right spot!

  • LOL i love this you should submit this to AFV!

  • YAY Mark! This vid is sooo awesome! (Matt just told me to watch it)

  • This is just stupid. The toad does not enjoy this. On the contrary, he hates it. Anyone with basic knowledge knows this.

  • @lordabomity why do you go around to all these toad videos just to scold people?

  • @Kronikwookie I dont scold people. I give them the facts. And I've commented on max 2-3 videos about this. Besides It's my right to state my opinion. And my opinion is that these "frog tickling/scratching videos are stupid, and that the people that believe that it is a fact that the animal would "like" it is pathetic. That's all.

  • i understand but calling another person's video 'stupid' isnt the same as stating facts. i know this is the internet, but try not to act like a jackass like most of the internet population. we have enough of those already.

  • I never said that a specific person was stupid. I said that toad scratching was stupid. And if some guy wants to subject himself to that, that's his problem.

I also think doing drugs is stupid, if a guy uses drugs then I guess he's stupid.

  • lol you're a fucking idiot.

  • Thanks for your humble opinion =)

  • But let me level with ya.. yes I think this video is stupid. Why? eeeeehm I don't know. I MIGHT have something to do with the fact that I think the act itself is stupid. Wow, who could have guessed?!!

  • fuck dude this isnt that stupid it just shows interesting behavior of a toad and i dont think any one really thinks it likes it. a stupid video is the ones where they kill the toad. fucking sadists i hate them.

  • Yeah you're right, of course. Could be worse ey

  • like a dog

  • Hehe, he's cute :).

  • You must not eat animals!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah, people can eat animals with their fingers as we see here. Through skin, I guess )))

  • oh sooooo cute!

  • that is too cute

  • This is one of the cutest thing I've ever seen! Fav and top rate! Will watch this over and over and over ^^

  • "No, not my head! You can scratch anywhere you want, just not my head!"

  • Congrats on getting this to cheezburger!

  • what a sweetie! <3

  • thats cool

  • lol i went camping with some friends once and we cought like 50 of thos and tossed all in my sisters tent and put a lock on the zipper lol it was a small 1 bare big enuf for a person to lay down in llol

  • It's not enjoying it. That's what they do to defend themselves and attempt to block the touch, they force their bodies down and against it.

  • Lies.

Then why does it only put it's head away from his finger, instead of pressing it twoards his finger?

  • I guess he is jealous of all the cats and dogs..well toads need some lovin too.haha

  • They don't like being petted on the head much, but on the sides and back they seem to enjoy.

I had a Western Toad for 6 years and they are great pets.

  • lmao 0:40 his head dramaticly flies down!

  • do frogs have salmanalaa? anser me

  • HOw Much Price?

  • best part . their free find em any where in ur back yard or forest like area or .. lord forbib the road . so save a toad near u . . i have 2 ^^i had one named susan (boy) but he pased away recently

  • cuteness

  • lol at the last hand...

  • Its funny and lots of fun to do with a toad, but they don't really "enjoy scratching." Its a defensive behavior. Toads lean into things that appear to be attacking them to look bigger and to point more of their toxic skin towards the predators mouth.

I actually had one toad that would head butt me if I messed with her head.

I don't think its cruel to mess with toads like that, I do it all the time to mine. I don't think it bothers a tame toad, but its not enjoyable for the toad either.

  • The Mexican Burrowing Toad grows to 8 cm in length, and usually has red spots on its bloated body with a red stripe along the center of its back. It has short legs, and a small, pointed head. Its feet have horny, shovel-like appendages.they enjoy scratching...very much...love wikipedia

  • I swear its not that they enjoy scrathing.

And its also not a mexican burrowing toad. Not even in the same family. That looks like an american, or fowlers toad. Family Bufonidae. The mexican burrowing toad is in the family Rhinophrynidae. It is toad-like, but its not really similar to this guy.

  • does that work with all toads?
