I guess because they always have that hope that the parent is going to come back into their life and do something even though in the back of their mind they know that the parent isn't going to come around like they want them to.
My mom us to ask me and my sister the same thing..my dad hardly did shit for us but everytime we did spend time with him we appreciated the smallest things that he did,but when our mom deosn't do one thing for us..we use to jump down her throat..great video and great topic girl...5 stars...
