I'm a muslim as well as being a somali like her, and I dont mind her speaking her mind about her views on Islam or anything for that matter.

But what is annoying is that 99% of what she says is completely false and propaganda in nature. At times here accusations are so poisonously inaccurate that one is left wondering if she actually knows anything about Islam.

Female circumsision has ZERO to do with Islam. It is a cultural practice which was present in cultures before they became Muslim but stayed on. No where in the entire body of Islamic literature will you find a single word about doing this. Most african tribes which practice it are not even muslim

While the west was deciding whether to give women the vote 50 years ago, Muslim women could vote and even became leaders 1400 years ago. The great number of things Islam did for women would fill book

Having a dissenting opinion about Islam is in itself courageous. I suggest a simple test... print yourself two tee-shirts, one with the opinion: "Mohammed is a pedophile" on it and walk through an Muslim area, then print your second dissenting opinion tee-shirt "Jesus was a bastard" and walk through a Christian area and see who kills you first. Ayaan's willingness to speak out despite the potential cost to herself, puts so many of us to shame for our cowardice and lack of intellectual integrity. I don't doubt that she is any less flawed than any other human being, which is what makes her courage all the more impressive.
