  • Wonderful.

My great grandmother Mary Cairns was born in Buckhaven 1874. There were two Mary Cairns born there that year. Mine left with her parents after 1881 census for Smoky Stockport and the cotton mills. Her father Robert had a sister Agnes Cairns b.about 1850 Kirkcaldy who married a coal miner from Buckhaven called Turnbull. I must have distant cousins on this film. Thank you

  • Watching this makes me wish that my dad was still here to see it. He would have loved this and probably would have recognized some of the people too. Thanks so much for this. It gives us all who weren't born yet a chance to see what Buckhaven was like then. Thank you so much.
