  • This Version Of Scarbarough Fair Is By Sergio Mendes And Brasil "66 Thanks For The Classic Post!

  • I now celtic woman sings it...

  • who sings the song at the biginning? I know its a cover of Simon and Garfunkel

  • crazy fucked up shit.....but i love it

  • This is a Disney movie.

  • @dalton696

No it's not, it's a Ralph Bakshi movie

  • @gatheringleaves so no connection with disney?

  • @dalton696 this is if anything anti-disney. bakshi always strove to do things in spite of the disney standard

  • that guy driving with the white haired woman resembles homer simpson

  • this is one fucked up movie

  • omg i saw this on tv late one saturday night when i was a kid :D

  • @Wolfboy183 me too. been scarred ever since cause i couldn't find it for ten years till now. and its not so bad cause i get it. lol

  • fuck fell sorry for the black guy at 5:15

  • That opening title song... MMM baby, amazingly awesome tunes :3

  • The most real cartoons ever...If you like this, check out coonskin and american pop...Strangely enough you can get a very real sense of what people in the 70's-80's were like.

  • @SUPERIORzombie that movie came out way before the 80,s

  • @SUPERIORzombie hey good lookins another good one

  • 6:45 Thats how New Yorkers say no. So don't ask for anything you don't want a no answer to.

  • dose any one here know if this is edited because i doubt you tube lets x-rated stuff on , i've only seen clips of the so i wouldn't know .

  • How high they must have been to see that the opening music doesnt match the visual.

  • @PaulGreen11 It goes perfectly with it. You just dont have the imagination to understand a brilliant piece of art as majestic as Heavy traffic.

  • @BLACKSABBATH0HM : A Sergio Mendes version of a Simon and Garfunkle song? This film is full of graphic vulgur, violence. Is that Sergio Mendes? Is that Simon and Garfunkle?

  • @PaulGreen11 This song was originaly made around back in the 1600's

  • @BLACKSABBATH0HM : If I went to see this movie when it first came out that opening track would blow my high and slow down the move. "Hey, why dont you make your own cartoon movie?" I know, I know...

  • @PaulGreen11 lol, maybe now. But back then that's the music we got high to.

  • these kind of cartoons are rated r not rated x but they are not for kids to watch under16 or younger they are for adults only becuse under 16 dont understand about sex yet thanx for uploading

  • @twobit1000 This is rated x you dumbass. The rated R version is edited for content. Seriously dude showing a boner pretty much always guarantees an x or nc-17 rating.

  • As a ball in pinball machine, man in modern society doesnt have much choice when living his life. Great cartoon, they dont make things like this anymore.

  • where's part 5?

  • I knew Bakshi did fritz the cat but i've never seen this.Looks like i'm going to enjoy it if it's even half as good as fritz!

  • if u like ralph bakshi and r new to him, check out fritz the cat, the only x rated cartoon there is. hilarious!!!!!!!!

  • @TheConspiracyloons Fritz is definitely NOT the only X-rated cartoon out there better check again cause i've seen plenty crazy ass X-rated stuff from the Netherlands!

  • @TheConspiracyloons you relise this is also x-rated right?

  • Taxi Driver on acid.

  • I think this film, and all of the other Ralph films should stay on youtube for historical reasons.

  • Does anybody else find this movie extremely sexy?

  • i saw this shit hella loaded on cable like 4 years ago.. and was like i got to get this on dvd and get high again and watch, so cliche

  • is that pimp wesley snipes

  • Bakshi is a pervert. i'm sick of seeing scens of tops and pants come off for no good reason

  • @Ratan1982

Yeah seriously, why does that happen so often in his movies, he reminds me alot of the creator of Family Guy

  • @Ratan1982

why don't you reply to me alreadt, I agree with you!

  • You mean like every movie in the world.

  • @rigomrtsfx

What do you think of Akira, Ghost in The Shell, Grave of the Fireflies, Miyazaki's movies, NInja Scroll, WIcked City, Vampire Hunter D 1&2, Fist of the North Star, Golgo 13 The Professional etc.?

  • @Kankurofa

Not as twisted as La Blue Girl or Urotsukidoji. I do own some hentai in my movie collection mainly softcore and one tentacle one called Legend of the Overfiend.

  • Holy shit this movie is TRIPPY!

  • can you or someone upload cool world please? it's not on youtube

  • First time I saw this it really fucked with my head.

This and Bakshi's "Coonskin" are both brilliant, incendiary films.

  • @BenHutchinson1

Yeah, I agree that Ralph Bakshi's movies overdo it on the sex and violence, I don't think they're spectacular but they're okay

  • you could technically download it from this page with the downloadhelper add-on for mozilla fire fox. and then convert it to a compatible file, that will work with your dvd burning software, and burn you up a hard copy, son.

  • Ralph Bakshi= FUCKING GENIOUS

  • ill say it...most ralph bashki movies are stupid.....but still enjoyable...kinda a guilty pleasure.

  • @jegsimmonsproduction Don't most CARTOONS tend to get a little bit stupid?

  • Forget X Rated. This joint is Z rated.

  • Wow...this is like Looney Tunes if it was realistic.

  • how can i get this movie?.....i tried torrents but there fucked.

  • @goodvibesallround Amazon(dot)com is a good place to look. The DVD is going for like 4 dollars.

  • @Stevers80 I find it funny how people now a days ask what site they can download the movie from but they never look towards purchasing it.

  • @Xprisma

    ha ha yeah!

  • @Stevers80 For Free, c'mon, we are cheap ass, who doesn't cara about rights.

  • @Stevers80 For Free, c'mon, we are cheap ass, who doesn't care about rights.

  • @goodvibesallround why dont you try the Ralph Bakshi website? You never know you might get the Director to sign a copy for you!

    DL.

  • the father looks like Homer Simpson. Weird

  • thank you so much for putting up this film, i was just about to go through ALL the movie sites i know then i youtubed it with no real expectation. you saved me soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much sifting!! thanks xx

  • It's difficult for a younger, often wealthier generation sitting comfortably in their subdivisions to understand what Bakshi was attempting to place on the screen. Life isn't mecha, or forest spirits or ninjas or happy deer in the forest. It is understandable why this movie did horrible in the box office, and is considered an underground classic by mature devotees of animation.

"pinball city, shot to hell, fuck it all."

  • Yes but that doesn't automatically mean that less realistic more optimistic fantasy movies aren't good and entertaining, people have different tastes

  • @OneWorldHistory "this movie did horrible at the box office" ... contrary to that statement, it's my understanding that this flick and Fritz the Cat were actually quite sucsesful and popular at their time of release, because an R or X rated cartoon ( with sex, profanity, realistic violence, controversial subject matter ) was something pretty novel back then and they kind of traded on that fact .

  • @OneWorldHistory So just because a movie is about reality and another about elves or robots it has less validity in its message? your wrong my friend.

  • the monolog of micheals is fitting

  • Help! Ralph! help! You owe me one.

  • Some dark stuff. New York City was a rough town.

  • @alexwinter666 still is

  • New York City is still a rough town

  • cool

  • @ 5:44 Damn! he looks like homer simpson.

  • haha my names Ida...

  • One of the best animated films ever made!!!

  • Comment removed

  • are you going to Scarborough fair? parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.

  • Comment removed

  • Really R-rated

  • no its X-rated

  • whats the name of this song in the opening scene,,, thanks

  • Scarborough Fair, don't know this version though.

  • it's by sergio mendes & brasil 66 (this version, anyway)

  • thanks poopoomonster!

  • no problem! :)

  • in japan, if you can imagine it, then you can imagine it getting fucked in the ass by a giant octopus... thats hentia for you

  • this movie would work well as 3d. how about inclusive WITH quality? it gets tiresome but not too bad to scathe off comments to ar gue for arguments sake, but a little more difficult for oldschool intelligence.

  • i wonder what would happen if someone got martin scorcese and ralph bakshi together to make a movie...

  • I like the way you think!

  • this isnt rated R its rated X

  • It WAS rated X. It's NC17 today.

  • This has been one of my favorite films for the last 27 years. Thanks for posting!

  • wow! i just discovered these bakshi films and i find them very intriguing. I was born in 1990 so i have nothing about the 70s to go by, (besides what my parents tell me), they really portray it as down and gritty and real, but also very appealing in a way. This animation is also very beautiful and contribute greatly to the story. I really wish that the animated movies made today could be more like this instead of all the CGI fluffy crap we have to deal with now.

  • I'm with you. I'm so sick of CGI. I would love to see a return to good, old school hand-drawn animation.

  • I know, and they think they can make it better with 3D when in reality the 3D just takes away from the movie. I'm hoping if the Princess and the frog turns out ok for Disney, then maybe that will open doors for other big animation companies to start looking into hand drawn animation again

  • @misskitty345

Well mskitty your in luck since Princess and The Frog was number 1 for 2 weeks and a success.

  • really? thats awesome! i've seen it twice already! its great

  • @misskitty345

What do you think of Ghibli/Miyazaki's movies?

  • @Johnlindsey289 what movies did they do again?

  • @misskitty345

Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Grave of the Fireflies, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds (aka Warriors of the Wind), Ponyo, Castle of Cogliostro, The Cat Returns, Pom Poko, Porco Russo, Whispers of the Heart etc. all masterpieces of animation.

  • @Johnlindsey289 oh yes! i've seen spirited away, princess mononoke, grave of the fireflies, my neighbor totoro and howl's moving castle...and I agree...they are all great pieces of animation....and i've never been a big fan of anime, but these seem different somehow...

  • @misskitty345

What about 3 awesome non-Ghibli ones like Akira, Ghost in The Shell and Ninja Scroll? very brilliantly animated and unique adult animated movies.

  • @Johnlindsey289 no...can't say i have

  • @misskitty345

Yes they do, I personally have seen Spirited Away, Grave of the Fireflies, Howl's Moving Castle, and Angel's Egg although I have yet to see Totoro or Mononoke, I'm sure there great because I absolutely loved the films I've seen

  • @gatheringleaves what's angel's egg? i've never heard of that one

  • @misskitty345

you can watch Angel's Egg on Youtube, the entire movie is uploaded

  • @gatheringleaves i might just do that...thanx

  • @gatheringleaves i was looking at your reply and what kind of fil is angel's egga nd have you ever seen nausicca valley of the wind. Mononoke is a good one

  • @sonep511

Angel's Egg is a surreal dark fantasy like animated film, it's a japanese anime but it's a very unique and original film, for one thing the character designs are very unique and there isn't much dialogue but the animation is very good and it takes place in a strange dead victorian town inhabited only by two characters, a young girl protecting an egg-like object and a mysterious man

  • @SeanPhillipMabrey

It is back dude! The Simpsons Movie and Princess and The Frog were successful. There's also Clay animation and stop motion animation being successful which i think are better than CGI. Fantastic Mr. Fox was a great example of Stop Motion Animation. We even have Hayao Miyazaki of Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away to My Neighbor Totoro fame for 2D as well.

  • @SeanPhillipMabrey, Hollywood hotshots dive give a crap about the old animation, they just wanting more cash in CGI. I like Disney/Pixar films, they need to bring back that stuff instead like Spongebob crap, reality crap and

    Justin Beiber crap. GREAT UPLOADING!

  • @SeanPhillipMabrey ...Most importantly, its destroyed outer space cinema. Just compare the original Star Wars and 2001: A Space Odyssey with the stuff nowadays. CGI is one of the worst things ever.

  • @SeanPhillipMabrey

Don't worry we have some hand drawn animation even by Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli such as My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Grave of the Fireflies, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo and more masterpieces/

  • @SeanPhillipMabrey I remember reading in an interview Bakshi did that the first couple minutes of the average Pixar movie cost the same as his entire budget for Wizards. Insane.

  • the animation isn't beautiful

It's normal for it's time, if you want beautiful watch Fantastic Planet

  • @misskitty345 I hear you. I'm a child of the 90s and new to Bakshi, but like you said, his work is intriguing. Isn't it cool how he'll portray such gritty stuff in such a bubbly, cartoonish style? It's not two things you'd think would mix well, yet Bakshi makes it work.

  • @IcePirate3 extremely cool....wish i could find more animation like this.

  • Well the Japanese are the closet things to Bakshi in terms of adult cartoons.

  • Why do people confuse this movie with Heavy Metal? both share similar titles and both are mature audiences animated movies but they are different.

  • The Seventies in NYC were really like this right down to the violence - but I'd rather be living back then again. Because today the violence is worse, but there's none of the Seventies funk, soul, freedom, dirt, sex, craziness or fun. Some of you guys say you were born the wrong time. You're lucky. What really hurts is being born in time to have lived this, then watch it all change to the way it is now. I'd give everything I own for a time machine back to 1973.

  • I didn't know that The Godfather played pinball. lol

  • can't stop watching bakshi films. i'm so impressed and i now know i was definately born into the wrong generation.

  • you and me both, kiddo! ; )

  • Pixar is the best at CGI while Bakshi is the best at traditional animation. What about some good non-Pixar CGI movies like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Monster House, Over the Hedge, Kung Fu Panda or the adult Beowulf?

  • Mr Bakshi, i m wondering why your not in charge of a big major studio today! To stop all these dumb 3d movies.People at PIXAR please call him !! Think about "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs " 1 billion people are starving, non sense !!

  • Pixar is still king of 3D animated movies while the only good non-Pixar animated CGI movies are Shrek 1 & 2, Kung Fu Panda, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Beowulf, and Monster House.

  • fuck 3d animation

  • @BLACKSABBATH0HM

Have you seen Beowulf? excellent R-rated CGI animated feature that proves adult animation isn't dead. Even the South Park Movie proved it too.

What do you think about hentai?

  • hentai is just plain funny

  • @BLACKSABBATH0HM

Even that tentacle rape stuff in some of them like Overfiend or La Blue Girl? there is some softcore stuff like Golden Boy and that rocks, very American Pie-esque teen sex comedy with hot toon girls galore and a lovable pervert.

  • what is the song in the opening sequence.Someone please let me know

  • Sergio Mendes - Scarborough Fair

  • kinda reminds of pink panther for some reason.

  • hooray for desensitization!

  • Anyone thinks this movie can be compared to Heavy Metal or the animated stuff from Japan in terms of mature audiences animated movies?

  • wtf r u babblin bout? whats ur point?

  • Cartoon movies for mature audiences is what i'm babbling about.

  • NO this is funny thats it heavy metal was epic and anime is a healthy mix of the 2

  • Well the thing is that this was by the american animator Ralph Bakshi. He is known for all his mature works. He did the films Coonskin and Hey Good Lookin' which were of the same animation, humor, and mature tone. He also made the film American Pop, which was more realistic but rotoscoped, meaning he animated over actual filmed scenes, making the animation fluid. But to answer your question, yes they can be compared, although the tones are very, very different.

  • I know that. But have you seen anime like Akira, Ghost in The Shell, NInja Scroll, Wicked City, Fist of the North Star, The Professional: Golgo 13, Princess Mononoke, and the X-rated controversial hentai horror fantasy Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend?

  • Yes I have seen all of those. They're good but I prefer Ralph Bakshi.

  • @Stevers80 Yeah, I prefer Bakshi's stuff as well, mainly because I like the element of crude humor in his cartoons .

  • Yeah but nowadays crude humor is used too much

  • 7:22 looks a little rough around the edges in term of the animation

  • woefull sound quality. top film.

  • Strange was that this movie was rated X ...yet it turned out not to be, This movie was praised for it's mix of animated and real life. showing the bad side of life

  • you shitting me?! it shows a chick almost get raped!

  • Watch some of the Japanese hentai anime, they show worse rape then that especially with demon tentacles.

  • 5:14

    That says it. Damn.

  • This is a really wierd movie.

  • It was a really weird era for animation in general.

  • But in a way it's interesting.

  • The words of micheal at the beginning still ring true.,

  • I thought this movie had an X rating.

  • Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme...

  • I love the opening sequence with Sergio Mendes's Scarborough Fair

  • ... his mom is jewish his dad is italian.............

    *big grin at comming events*

  • Gee, y'think the design of Ms. Botz on the Simpsons was, I'unno, SOMEWHAT inspired by the cartoonist's girlfriend? ;D

  • Nice animation of the pinball ;-)

  • this is awesome

  • is this the toned down version?

  • No it is not

  • thank badness and indecency for that!

  • Coonskin was taken off of YouTube, except for 3 parts. I don't get it.

  • Some 1 propbly flag it then it was removed cuz the copyright.

  • Class act movie. And Scarborough Fair, perhaps best rendition.

  • Perhaps someone can answer this: What is the song that starts playing at 5:33? I have heard it before; as far as my understanding of music goes, it's a classic jazz standard.

    Anybody know?

  • Take Five by the Dave Brubeck Quartet

  • take five

  • Damn this is the sheeit.
