  • I love you :)

  • W. O. W. intense. i wish i could play the violin.im jealous.

  • can someone send the music sheet to me, PLEASE!?

  • i was in my first month of learning the violin when my teacher gave this to me. now it's the third month, and i've still got a ways to go to sounding that beautiful. i can do vibrato now on the first string tho which is a good start! but i love listening to your version- it helps me a lot with the musicality of the piece. thanks !

  • OMG.....I love it. ^-^

  • This is my favorite song on the violin to play. I've been playing for almost 5 years and I love to play this song because it's so relaxing.

  • So good!

  • This made me cry..you play very beautifully

  • nice!

  • I'm playing part of this song in orchestra, and I can't slur that well without making this ugly squeaky noise... u do it so well!!! I don't know, but it's only this one song that I have trouble with slurs haha.

  • very good!

Try it with a backing track :D

I always wanted to play, but it would be very difficult because I am left handed.

  • I been playing for 4 years is this song to advance for me?

  • wow your playing is so beautiful I hope to get to be as good as you I'm wanting to take lessons thank you for posting.

  • Can u play this in G major? Do not do it a octave higher it wont sound right i try it.

  • I'm learning how to play this song right now on my Violin.

  • tell me do you start in third position or first?

  • Hey I play the violin and im a 4th year and I want to noe how to do vibrato I can't really do it yet have any tips/

  • you play so smooth and concise. You make the piece seem very easy to play. I like your version, But you should try it an octave higher, it sounds much sweeter. BTW i'm suprised that was Obligato strings, how long did u have to play for it for it to sound so good.???

  • @Phantomstranger17

How long really depends on each individual: potential of the student, available time to practice, how good the teacher is, encouragements from people around the student, determination of the student etc.

I'd say for average students, it'll probably take several years (perhaps around 5 years) before one can play the violin reasonably well.

    Good luck!

  • @tubbie0075 Hi Thanks, I'm already playing at a good level, well good enough for small concerts & exams!! & stuff. I wanted to know how long the obligato took to break in,or um sound good, I have a set & I find that it sounded dull so i took them out.

  • out of curiosity, what strings do you use? x

  • Pirastro Obligato

  • if some1 knows where i could get sheet music for violin on this that would be awesomeness

  • It sounds like you need a bit more rosin on your bow, but otherwise, it's great! ^_^

  • try to shake you hand a bit more dude :)

  • On the Movie Soundtrack, it's played half-tone lower than you play...

    Awesome music!

  • @epicpm yea it is a half tone for high but he dont say what he play it in epicpm play you much instument or what ^^

  • Im sorry, but i didnt understand very well what you said... But if you're asking what instrument i do play, it's mandolin, the same tunning as violin.

And im not saying he's playing wrong, i was just giving an information... He ROCKS!! XD

  • @epicpm im dint ask what you play :) but i had play piano for few years ago ^^ dont play more because i dont have space to a grand piano and i cant like the sound from a keyboard :)

  • Hehe, okey...

Piano is a cool thing, but i prefer the sound of violin XD

  • Wow, that was great!

  • excellent job on the best song fromthe best show ever !

  • played beautifully, but it is a really fun song to play with a full wind band backing and a loud instrument =D

  • you rock

  • I want to start playing violin. I want to learn this :P and more Phantom of the opera and the classics and maybe some rock. I love heavy metal but violin is just so beautiful, what do you recommend I do to start? I play piano, guitar and a bit of drums

  • woww!!!

  • wow! very kool, i know this song too.. i can play it just like you but not as good lmao(: need more practice

  • wow i didn't know it was actually a hard song i taught myself this by ear too! good job and i finally got the music from my music teacher:)

  • this is my favorite Phantom of the Opera song! Maybe you should put some piano with it like the LOTR stuff :)

  • Very good!

  • Beautiful :)

  • Fabulous. My son is desperate to play this... if it only wasnt for that time problem!

  • This is pretty good for not having sheet music.

    You should compose.

Because i do have sheet music for this and it's pretty much the same notes your playing.

  • hey can you send me these sheet music??

  • @henryl1191 if you read the info box say he play by ear

  • sorry m8, i was referring to stefanioneill because he/she said that he/she has a sheet music if you read his/her comment lol.

  • sry ^^

  • its okay. no hard feelings.

  • Wow! I can't play anything by ear, except the really easy ones...

  • simply beautiful! amazing

  • Your sound is absolutely stunning! How long have you been playing?

  • I have the sheet music for piano but it sounds good with violin as well. It is very easy to play and sounds beautiful.:)

If someone wants a link to the sheets just send me a message.

  • very good, but in the beginning i noticed at least, it sounded a bit awkward. just how it sounded to me....you might also be straining the cords a bit. otherwise once again a beautiful arangement

  • that was awesome!

  • wow! ur really good! im playing this song 4 orcestra! but i dont quite have the whole thing memorized like u do. but still, THAT WAS REALLY GOOD! 1,000,000,000/5!

  • I played by ear as well. I played it in D major, first few notes:

    D String: F# E D E F# G E A

    G String: A A

Can you take it from there? You can play the whole song in first position, but if you know how to shift to third position, some places sound better in third position. The very last note is just a natural harmonic on note A (on A string), or you can just play the A note on the E string.

    Good luck!

  • That is true! Parts fo this song i can play by ear and others i need the music for. Lol but you are really good!

  • You're really great... sounds amazing..

what string do you play the beginning on.. Im trying to learn how to play the song by listening to it.? any advice?

  • It starts on the D string.

If you want the sheet you can send me a message. If you are willing to try it out by listening, just try several notes until the sound fits the song.

    Good luck!

I luv this song so much. Ive been watching this video every day since I discovered it!

  • You're fucking amazing!!!!!!!!! BRAVISSIMO!!!

  • amazing..

    :D

i really liked te sound of your violin specialy at the begining!!!

  • Fairly good but can be improved. 3/5

  • beautiful...brought a tear to my eye!

  • Awesome job, can play this on piano but not violin yet.

  • Thanks. So you play the piano and are learning the violin? Good luck!

  • Yeah but i'm pretty new at both. Probably like 6 months or so on piano now.

  • wow...i wish i could play that well.

  • Tuning is a tricky business. It's takes a long time to teach the ears to listen to the very small differences in pitch.

It's especially frustrating when you change to new strings or live in a place where the weather/temperature keeps changing!

    All the best!

  • wow this ir really good, it also looks like you play it with passion, keep on playing man, i play too, but im kinda frustrated trying to tune my violin =( , cya

  • buy a digital tuner for violin. Makes it very easy to tune.

  • Yes, it helps with a digital tuner and I have one too. But don't rely too much on it. It is not very accurate and one should also train the ear to listen to perfectly tuned 5th :-)

  • you are really nice!

  • great job! You really make it look easy (if only that were true!)

  • This music is not that hard to play but it does require someone to have learnt the violin for at least 2 or 3 years. Of course, the longer you've learnt, the better it sounds :-)

  • :O yay! I love this. I am going to hire you one day when I become a rich princess. Yeah.

  • Hmmm... I like the idea of being paid playing music.

  • I like the idea of being a princess too <_<

    So all works out well!

  • gah, wish I had taken the time to learn an instrument :(

    top job!

  • Thanks. Yeah, that's the hard thing isn't it... to find time.
