  • It is a little annoying, but your vid was a tremendous help to me just now. The manual's instructions are nearly worthless. Thank you for your expertise.

  • Thanks for the video ! I had trouble this morning to reassemble my own PT1911... I was taking the barrel link forward against the full length spring guide rod ! Now I see that it was wrong. And oh well, the TAURUS PT1911 is not a B*LLS**T firearm at all... I enjoy it almost every week at the range without any misfire or malfunction. Cheers.

  • Eww, Taurus, gross!

  • I lost interest after a full minute of music and "gee whiz, look at my gun."

  • I have this pistol also but without the light rail. Anyway I thank you for posting this video for one and also commend your gracious well mannered attitude in your response to Chazzman5369's insuling remarks. Good for you.

  • i got to know what song is that at first it was pissing me off and i hated it but then it was stuck in my head all day and i even came back to this vid to here that mottherfucker agine lol and thanks for the vide plz get back with the song name

  • Great video bro'...I got a springfield operator last week with alot of questions on disassenbly as well...needless to say your video answered those questions as the Springfield and Taurus share alot of the same parts if not exactally. Thanks

  • took long enough to actually get to the field strip part and music was totally annoying. otherwise not a bad video.

  • The take/assembly was very good. However I can do without that SHIT EATING background music

  • that is one beautiful weapon

  • @Zescaflowne Thank you.

  • You misunderstood me. I was not implying anything negative about your choice in a firearm. I was commenting on what I believed Taurus Owners Manual information was saying. Listing improper components names. Sorry for the assumption. I have a Tauaus .357 wheel gun. Had it for 3 years. Excellent quality. I apologize for being abrasive.

  • @chazzman5369 Good for you chazzman. Nicely done.

  • What the hell is a tension spring and a tension rod ? Taurus bullshit. Those components are called a recoil spring and guide rod. If you knew anything about a true 1911 you would know this. Amateur for sure.

  • @chazzman5369 Thank you for correcting me, I have changed the annotations. no harm no fowl dude.

  • @chazzman5369 Taurus's are for amateurs so thats fitting.

    Well, amateurs and Brazilians...

  • How did you get the loop on the barrel to line up with the slide catch peice so quickely? is it possible to reassemble it incorrectly with the hole NOT being threaded?

  • just bought the taurus 1911. Yours is the best instructional video I've ever seen. The manual sort of sucks. Thanks-it made breaking this gun down so much easier.

  • what did you use to polish those parts? How do you think it would look if you polished the entire gun?

  • @MrAzcabowabo I used a standard polishing compound that I got at Lowes and a buffing wheel for my hand drill. There is a guy that Polished other parts of the same gun and it looked pretty cool. I will try to look up his name and pass it on.

  • @FirepowerHendog yeah let me know. Thx alot!

  • @FirepowerHendog thank you for this video because of you i can now take apart and reassemble my brothers PT 1911 like a champ

  • i had been wondering how hard it was to take the gun apart cause i am looking at getting the Taurus 1911 or a glock, i am leaning more towards the 1911

  • beauty ... im going to get one

  • more on show off.

    .

  • @6220guy Thank you for your nice comments, but next time you want to comment, please learn how to spell. Moron!

  • your video suck go on istrip the gun

    .

  • For polishing the hammer, trigger, safeties and magazine release, how difficult was the disassembly? I like your smooth photography on disassembly/reassemble. I'm hoping to get this firearm soon.

  • @trollin47 when i first got it, it was a process to learn how to completely take it apart, but with a little practice or repetition it became easier and easier. it really is a nice and accurate gun.

  • thanks for the vid, easy to see and to understand, unlike the manuell....lol,got my 1911 today ,love that gun

  • nice music

  • I got an 1911 (the original A1) today... and wondered whether it really sucks so much to disassemble and reassemble. Lo and behold - it does!

Half the time you do magical tricks and stare down the barrel...

Berettas for me thank you very much it's good my 1911 was the cheapest.

  • @Pinstripedtie My Taurus 24/7 pro .40 has 2000 trouble free rounds through it..not one FTF, or FTE...do you go to Toyota videos and comment on them? They'd deserve it, I guess

  • Video was nice, could have definately done without the music however.

  • Great video man. Thanks for posting. I love this polishing work..video of that? lol

  • @bestman77 Thanks for the post. Sorry, I didnt make a video while polishing.

  • @maRRco333 Yes, I did in the video but it is not necessary. As long as you make sure the pin goes into the hole on the tension rod assembly.

  • @Pinstripedtie I don't know where it would be advertised. The sale i bought it in was in November. I should have probably waited till i had money to buy based on value like you said, but i was too greedy to wait haha

  • @Pinstripedtie i bought my taurus 1911 at Gandar Mountain bran new for $420. Just wanted to put that out there... i agree i would rather have a STI, but in this economy $420 sounds a lot better than $630 for a few small disadvantages. Not bashing either gun, just correcting the price you mentioned.

  • I would have to agree with you on their customer service. And maybe one day I will own a STI. Sounds like you get paid by them to go search out everyones PT1911's and Bash them. But you do like to view the PT 1911 videos! Wow

  • Great video thanks!

  • About 400 rounds with not a glitch. Thanks for the comments.

  • Thats a nice finish on that PT. I liked how you polished the hammer, safety and trigger too. It gives it a little contrast. Great video!

  • Thank you very much for the kind words. Appreciate it.
