I first heard this song when Phil and the Blasters covered it, Phil definitely knows how to play this song right. His brother and him studied under some of the greats of the Blues, T-Bone Walker, Sonny Terry, and Big Joe Turner to name a few. Really great to hear him with Billy Boy giving this amazing tune the treatment it deserves!

Sorry cat I strongly disagree this is the real blues white or black this is the blues Billy would not destroy his song on the account of bad whiteboy playing. I know Phil and I know he is a bluesman who clearly understands his role in any old song he choose's to study which He plainly did on this classic. This is the greatest blues version since the original. Nuff said!!!!!
