  • thank you soooo much. I had my daughter, son in law and friends over for lunch and they raved about your recipies. thanks for sharing.

  • watch chef Johs recipe on food wishes dot com or here on youtube,it looks a million times better than this, you have to season and sear the meat for flavoe...this looks bland

  • love your voice super cute pot roast looks yummy

  • why is the music so loud..couldn't hear half of what you were saying.

  • You are so adorable! I love you!

  • eat your heart out vegans >:D

  • What a fun recipe and how cute are you? :) Thanks! I will watch your others too. By the way, what was that spice you used?

  • @theflipmama - the seasoning is called Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning.

    Thanks for watching! Beryl

  • @mikestokes1 You cant live in the South without that in your kitchen! Best stuff ever!

  • @mikestokes1 I love these good ol' home recipies, thanks for sharing

  • Love your cooking!

  • What's the music?

  • @NorbertNipken - that music is from Hot Jazz Caravan. I don't know much about them other than I found their music on an open forum website a couple years ago and loved that song. Thanks for watching! Beryl

  • awesome

  • I just bought a slow cooker today and am going to make this, thanks.

  • This video makes me feel at home.

  • great dish and sweet lady.

  • she's pretty and cook... a "10" in my book!

  • that looks so damn DELICIOUS!

  • will work very hard for your food

  • This reminds me of the time that I was drunk at the company X-mas party and urinated into the crock pot on the counter that was cooking the company pot roast! Only one person complained the meat was bitter! haha!

  • Put your pot roast in a crock pot straight from package. Add salt pepper,paprika(flavor4 broth) McCormciks HeartyBeefStew Seasoning and place in crock pot on KEEP WARM. TIMES MAY VARY(I put mine in at 1:30AM i didnt put it on high until 3:30pm I put on low at 5:00pm and took it out at 6:15pm) When you put it on High that means you have added your chopped potatoes and onion gravy(this adds a lil more flavor and gives a lil thickness..when you put on LOW you have added your celery, carrots&onions

  • i love tony!!!

  • Can anyone answer this for me? Is it OK to marinade the roast the night before?

  • 8 hrs... i can make it before i go to work and when i get off its finished...

  • White food. I'm looking for soul cooking sorry!

  • excellent. looks really easy and tasty. I'll be trying this one.

  • Great recipe

  • btw...my tatters wont get mushy will they. i dont want the roast to smash them! sorry im a new cook!

  • yayyyyy! thanks!

  • so i dont have to put ther veggies under the roast because i heard that is better to lay the meat on top

  • @crystalhpsn You can, that is a good way to cook them.

  • and also i heard i am supposed to put the veggies under the meat

  • can i use a pork butt?

  • @crystalhpsn Yes indeed. Pork butt is one of our favorites!

  • Thanks sweetheart, I'm a young armature, so this vid. definitely helps me.

  • how do you cook a white fish in a crock pot.

  • i love your cooking, that is so nice of you to do this fo us , thanks for posting. i will make this tomorrow ,

  • you could develop so much more flavor by searing

  • I still like using the old fashion roaster pan, and placing it in the over. The best.

  • Comment removed

  • cheers mamma !

  • would it be a bad idea to use more water than that. I had the idea that you fill the crock pot 2/3 of the way. Thank for the vid.

  • @bdame25 Yes, it may overflow. The meat and vegetables make liquid. Thanks for watching.

  • Very nice! Thank you!

  • Good attempt, but this is NOT cajun cooking. It's lazy person cooking. A real cajun would have browned the sirloin heavily on all sides in a cast-iron skillet, put it in the crockpot, put the holy trinity in the skillet and blasted them as well, and then washed the skillet with the cup of water (or more likely, a cup of beef stock).

Also, no kid in the world would think that turnips are potatoes, no matter what you do. Substitute real potatoes, and you've got yourself a meal.

  • Can i come over to your house for dinner? :)

  • Yummy

  • Really nice...thanks for sharing!!!

  • What a lovely, sweet lady..

  • Loved this..thank you so much!!!

  • Man I have a pot roast in the slow cooker right now, this made me think of everything I wish I HAD done LOL At least I know next time. Think for posting this vid!

  • Wow you are a good cook! I wish my wife cooked like u :>

  • the title sounds like a pun :D

  • Could I do the same with a chicken?

  • @rachiibuu Sure, we've done it with pork chips and pork ribs too.

  • @mikestokes1 Awesome! Thanks for the fast reply. It's 9am here so will put my chicken on soon! =D

  • Mmmm, I bet that was delicious!!!

  • Looks very tasty, but i'm slightly surprised you didn't brown the meat to seal it and give some added flavour, but still looks tasty.

  • @merthyrmafia You are right. Browning the meat makes all the difference in the world in the taste and flavor. Not browning the meat is just easier and faster, and it still tastes OK, just not as fine as when you brown the meat. Thanks for watching!

  • @mikestokes1 How do you "brown" the roast ? just sear the outside on a pan or something?

  • @ballocoke Yes, exactly. And it you dust your roast with some all purpose flour before you brown it, it will really improve your gravy.

  • Just wondering, do you use lower quality meats for roasting in the crock pot? I thought a crock pot would make meat just as tender as the high quality meats

  • @SawaDoll You are right, you can use less expensive cuts of meat, as the slow cooking will make them just as tender. Thanks for watching!

  • i used your garlic clove trick - thanks !

  • Nice roast....Thanks for sharing!

  • This is the way to do this.Hey everyone out there.Never watch Expert Village video's on how to cook a dish. They are absolutely horrible. What pot roast doesn't include Garlic ?

  • expert village just makes 1000000000 videos just to make money off google and there stupid ass videos suck

  • I absolutely agree ! How much more effort would it take to do a video the right way? I bypass Expert Village but sometimes I forget to look down to see where the video's are coming from.

PEOPLE OUT THERE IN UTUBELAND DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO LEARN SOMETHING FROM EXPERT VILLAGE,NO MATTER WHAT IT IS.AFTER YOU WATCH IT,YOU WILL BE LEFT SCRATCHING YOUR HEAD AND THINKING "I ALREADY KNEW THAT,TELL ME SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW"! There are much better video's with a stroke of a key ! Thanx dude !

  • @demmylowther AMEN!!!!!!! :)

  • I swear I could smell that lovely beef cooking

    Bon Apetite

  • Thanks for watching.

  • YOur a beautiful wizard Harry

  • tonys rub good call stuff rocks anything esp garlic bread..

  • I have 4 squirrels in my crock pot right now. I like using the onion mushroom soup mixes for a lot of recipes. Then I had some taters, red onions and carrots.

  • Sounds great! We have to avoid the soup mixes due to MSG reactions, but I am sure it was tasty. Thanks for watching!

  • I like the lady who cooks, she seems real sweet. :)

  • Thank you and thanks for watching! - beryl

  • Looks delicious!!! I've had my crock pot just sitting there collecting dust but now I need to try this recipe. Thanks.

  • It is really good. Crock pots make cooking really easy. Give it a try and please let us know how it comes out.

  • It's not a glamorous dish, but it is good. Thanks for watching.

  • Might sound crude...but this is like porn for people who love food!

I am going to the store after this...I have been craving pot roast all day!

  • Hi Marc, I don't know. I've never heard of one being used that way. I doubt it could be used that way, but I don't know for sure. Thanks for watching our videos!

  • thanks for responding

here in NYC with no 'cooking facilities' - BUT cheap rent so thought I would as

guess time to get a crock pot

    any brand recomends ?

    Marc and obviously single LOL

  • I know what you mean. My mom just had a toaster oven and a hot plate in her home...Anyway, you can get a good crock pot at WalMart or Target. Most of them are good. I'm not home right now, so I don't know what brand ours is, but I'm pretty sure we got it at WalMart.

  • I think it would dry it out and when you microwave food all of the nutrients and good stuff in the food is gone

  • You set your slow cooker to #3. What is that: low, medium, or high? I just bought a crock pot, and it doesn't have number settings, and I'd like to try your recipe. Thanks!

  • #3 would be medium on our slow cooker. Thanks for watching!

  • This looks so yummy I am going to try it.

  • Please let us know how it comes out. And thanks for watching!

  • What's the name of the seasonings used to season the roast?

  • We use Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning on just about everything we cook.

  • thanks-- that's good to know! I did the garlic thing and its cooking now w turnips. Should be 5 hrs or so. Hmm I'm hungry now.

  • Looks good!~ I'm going to cook a pot roast in a crock pot now! I was wondering if you have to brown the meat before putting it in the crock, i guess not.

  • No, you don't have to brown it, and it will be just fine. However, it will make a better gravy if you do brown it. Thanks, for watching!

  • Ooooh! Pot Roast! That Looks Wonderful!

  • Thanks, and thanks for watching!

  • Mmmmm my favorite im so determined to learn how to make this for my man

  • Cool...Please let us know how it comes out. Thanks for watching!

  • Fabulous recipe! Do you like the sirloin tip roast better than other types of roast for this recipe? I have several roasts on hand but I don't think I have the sirloin tip.

  • I think whatever kind of roast you like will do fine. That's just what Mike picked up at the store, he doesn't know one roast from another. Thanks for watching!

  • Thanks! Yes, we love the oldies too. Thanks for watching!

  • nice job i like your music on the background like oldies keep up

  • Love the recipe.Very similar to the way i do mine.Thank you for posting.

  • Thank you, and thanks for watching our videos!

  • umm looks good, will try for sure.

  • Thanks for visiting!

  • This is 10 times better with Paul Prudhomme's Meat Magic, available at Paul Prudhomme's website, not as salty as Tony's with awhole lot more flavor. The garlic idea was awesome, thank you!!!

  • Yes, that is a great seasoning. Thanks for watching our videos!

  • I did this morning and it came out excellent. Although I added a little bit of cornstarch and worcestershire sauce for added flavor. And used Kosher salt and it was awesome. I served it with white rice and buttermilk biscuits. YUMMMM.....

  • Wow, that sounds really good! Thanks for your note, and thanks for watching our videos!

  • Hmmm going to try the garlic pressed in to my next roast, looks delicious!

  • The garlic does something special for sure...Thanks for watching our videos!

  • Yunz all are THE BEST! Your video recipies are SO enjoyable and personable. I hadn't watched this one because I've done crock pot roasts before, BUT it never occured to me to use Tony's as a seasoning.

Can't wait to try this...maybe Sunday. We tried slow cooking our New Years Day pork loin/kraut in a cast roaster on top of a kerosene heater in our living room! With temps in the low 20's furnace didn't come on, aroma was GREAT. Dinner was perfect. Cooked faster than we figured, but no burn.

  • THANK YOU for watching our videos! I bet your pork loin was fabulous! I know you home smelled great. Happy New Year!

  • Where do you live? Im starving! I promise to leave right after I eat. Merry Christmas!

  • We're in Louisians. Merry Christmas!

  • Thank you so much!

  • THANK YOU for watching our videos!
