Everyone knows that when it comes to reliability in aircraft a little weight is easily sacrificed for reliability. 2 strokes are notorious for seizing up. And the new 4 strokes weigh no more than the 2 smokers. Why do you think they're using them on motocross bikes?
As often as 2 strokes seize up on snowmobiles, i don't think I would trust one very far. They just quit for no reason. Why not use a Yamaha 4 stroke with turbo?
@luukdeman111 You steer the plane with your feet on the ground, like a billy cart. In the air it is wing only. Microlights dont have rudders like other aircraft. It is basicly a motorised hanglider. They are alot of fun and one of the most safest form of powered flight.
Depending on the engine it can sometimes take a couple of attempts from cold, there's a knack to it, especially with the two strokes. Not a problem, you warm the engine for 5-10 minutes before flight anyway and any issues are generally apparent from the instrumentation.
Uh....I'n not a mechanic, but since it took 3 tries to get the engine going, and it sounds nasty.....I was a bit nervous for you. In any event it looks like fun, and hey, you didn't die so that's good. Thx for posting the vid.
do not buy a kit.. is not worth it. the engine, wing and instrument you will not build yourself..so, you will not save much. fcatory built is the way to go.
More fun than scary. See the white canister under the engine? That's the BRS - Ballistic Recovery System. A handle in the cockpit activates a rocket which pulls a parachute out of the canister. The chute is attached to the frame, so it supports the whole aircraft and passengers.
@machenga They are not scary at all. They are safer than an aircraft. And if your engine fails while you are up in the air you can glide down to safety.
i wanna know at about 3:03 and just after is two bright flashes from the rear of the trike is that normal i couldnt see any lights there??? anyone know???
Oh Ok Well Im Getting Ready To Take My First Intro In A Trike, And I Needed To Know If I Could Set Front Or Back. Thanks. PS: I'm A CFII SEL and A CFI(Glider) and CFII(helicopter)

aircrafts can take multipul times before the engine starts its not anything to worry about unless you get to like 7 times

what model is it?
The MA-32 R503 looks great, but they don't give the speed with the Proffi vs the MA-32 R582 with the Proffi.
