  • BEST SONGS OF NEIL'S TO PLAY: Too Far Gone, Tell Me Why, Pardon My Heart, Campaigner, Needle and The Damage Done, Ambulance Blues, Don't Let It Bring You Down, Sugar Mountain, Mellow My Mind, My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue), Long May You Run, Sail Away, Cortez the Killer, Motion Pictures, Helpless, Ohio, I Am A Child, Harvest Moon, Down By The River, Old Man, Thrasher, New Mama, and Everbody's Alone.

  • voice is almost exact!

  • A few more Neil songs that you should learn and you will be glad you did. Cinnamon Girl, Ohio, (both sound great acoustic and electric), Needle and the Damage Done, Old Man, Don't Let It Bring You Down, and an acoustic live version of Cowgirl in the Sand (I might prefer it to the studio version). There are a few more, but you get the idea. A few of these songs use double dropped d tuning, just so you know. I think you would be really satisfied if you learned those, but you may already know them.

  • I already play all of these songs and many others also which are among my favorites Neil songs like "Nowadays clancy..." "No more" "old homested" "last trip to tulsa and many others but i never had the time to record them. plus i just broke my epiphone pr-200 and i'm not confortable with my new Aj-200. but my favorite to play are Don't let it bring you down and cowgirl in the sand.

  • Almost all of Neil Young's stuff is fun to play. What would you consider your top 3 Neil Young songs (not to play, to listen to)?

  • waw that's very hard to say. actually it depends on the mood you're in. for now i would say "Don't let it bring you down", "My my hey hey" and "Tell me why" for the acoustic ones. i really like also "albuquerque" "words" look out for my love(unplugged)" "old man" and "cortez the killer". what about you?

  • I agree its kinda hard to choose. I like rocking in the free world, old man, powderfinger, heart of gold, don't let it bring you down, on the way home, cinnamon girl, southern man, ohio, my my hey hey and it's electric counterpart. I agree, it is hard to decide, there are so many really good ones. It usually depends on the day and my mood.

  • @abeatlesguy gotta agree with chad, tell me why is one of the best, and nothing compares to picking old man.

  • @abeatlesguy ...I love so much of Neil's songs, and I play the guitar so mind you... that influences my choices of songs by Neil that I like to listen to. But three that come to mind are the solo acoustic version of Cowgirl in the Sand, any version of Harvest Moon, and I Am A Child.

  • @Sitchad1 cowgirl in the sand is divine - You got gooood tast man !!!

  • @OldviSinger : i totally agree and i promise you to upload a cover very soon.

  • Sounds great bud, just a little more vocal power like Jeff, and something about Neil Young not being played on a deep bass Martin that is a signiture sound that can't be compromised....more power!!! :0)

  • Don't hesitate to offer me a Martin D-45 if you want a better sound :-) lol

    thanks for the comment man

  • Cool again, Like mine, it may be a bit fast, A few more beers should take care of that.. nice..
