Good question. Most slaves in the U.S. were from West Africa, but 1/3 were from East Africa, and some were from Southwestern Africa and Madagascar (especially those sent to Maryland and Virginia). For example, Chris Tucker's DNA profile put his ancestry in modern Angola. That's southern Africa.

Good question. Most slaves in the U.S. were from West Africa, but 1/3 were from East Africa, and some were from Southwestern Africa and Madagascar (especially those sent to Maryland and Virginia). For example, Chris Tucker's DNA profile put his ancestry in modern Angola. That's southern Africa.

Kemetkush - Not from South Africa, from what we know no slaves were taken from SA, I'm not sure about our neighbours (Namibia, Botswana, Zim & Moz), I doubt if there were any from Swaziland and Lesotho. Instead slaves were brought from South East Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, etc) and India to South Africa. African Americans are mainly from West Africa and black Britons (if I can call them that) and those who're in the Middle East are mainly from East and Central Africa.

I believe that slavery forced whites and blacks to mingle. If not for slavery in the past, today there might be a totally view of blacks. One that is much more ignorant and racist.

the only solution for blacks is to rebuild Africa into a paradise for our people. a NEW africa must be built by us or else you will always be compromised, exploited, overworked, & underpaid in this country. forever.

couldn't've put it better myself. thats exactly why no matter how much money u throw at it it doesnt work. they dont need paper money. they need the skills we learned in architecture, business,& technology. & our time & hard work to re-build it into a powerful independent nation. its good to see you know where you come from.
