  • Pre-sickness, always thought so, and @Gmz1023:

It's the screaming "Perfect insanity" that makes the whole song fun to listen to.

  • If they cleaned the first version up, for it sounds like shit, I'd say the first one. But I'm going to say the new version, it sounds clearer. The only thing. I like the solo and the vocal style on the first one.

  • pre-sickness is better

  • I agree if they would just get rid of the screaming "PERFECT INSANITY" during the first verse.

  • David's voice, in response to whoever said he hadn't gotten his voice trained yet, needs to listen to the chorus of Version 1. He's got the growl just like now.

  • I like the NEW one better but don't get me wrong they both kickass just like all of their songs. The Old and New shows two different sides of this band and difference in skill level. The old shows that raw emotion but the instrumentals weren't to greatand the new one shows more rhythm and brutality and Amazing instrumental work. Like I said they both kick major ass

  • parts of the old one are better but the new one overall is beter

  • The old 1 is insane...

  • I wish there was a way to play both the old and new songs simultaniously like some duet.

  • old school def is the better son i like the lyrics alot more but the new1 has better guitar

  • the old one has that cool siren in it but the knew one sounds better hard choice

  • I myself didn't enjoy the old version as much as the newer one. I also couldn't hear the guitar very well. =(

  • personally i refer the old i love th vocal solo wear he screams his throat off

  • both are awesome in my opinion there are things I like in both

  • bass is insane in the old one

  • of course, its perfectly insane. lol ya i know im lame :P

  • New def!

u can tell how they have grown as a band, and the difference between gutiarists, cuz the old one was before john right?

  • I had the old one on my ipod, thought it was kinda bad.

Then I bought the indestructible CD, and now Perfect Insanity kicks ass! =D

  • you know the first one is probably fake, either that or its the older singer, if thats true because that doesn't sound like the trend of the music thats on the sickness. plus thats not really his voice, i meen it could be in a wierd muted way. but i do like certain things about the old one but the new one wins for me.

  • The song is on their documentry called M.O.L. as a really low-budget Music Video. It is was before they established their Sickness sound and probably while David was still taking voice lessons. Be assured it is them, just really old.

  • hey voice of chaos

    i have 2 questions

1.whats your opinion on the old vs new personally i think the bass in old is better but quality the new one.

    2. have u ever seen them live? i have best show of my life.

  • 1: Very hard to say. Even after everyones comments it is hard to decide, I go back and forth a lot. Overall I think the old one is heavier and has more force behind it. But the new one has a better vibe and feel from it. As of right now I like the new one more but when it first came out it was the other way around.

  • LOL forgot about question 2. Yes I have 3 times. The best time was at the Rivera, it was small and all about them, no other bands really. Plus I met them and shook each of their hands TWICE that day so yeah it was very memorable!

  • I actually like the olod version better!!!!!!!!

  • the old one is cool, its just not really high quality. it has a lot of potential.

  • my favorite part of the old one is how aggressively he yells the "branded like an animal" part. i like the new version better but i wish the "branded" line was more prominent.

  • new kicks ass

  • NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The whispering at the end of the old one is kinda cool. But the new one wins for me

  • the new song is UNTOUCHEBLE!

  • i deffinatley like the new one better. i wish he kept the little things he screamed like "perfect insanity" and the laughter in the backround and the echoes. the words are more clear on the first one, but the vocals sound so much better in the second one. :) so i vote the second one :D

  • the new one is better, wish he screamed PERFECT INSANITY like in the old one though.

  • i like the siren intro in the old one

  • yeah i like the new one more but on the old one i like how he says "branded like an animal" more and how theirs more RAAAAAAAAAAAAAA scremo stuff but im gad theirs not a lot that would be to much but i like new one more

  • the old on is really annoying like the way he sings in the verses are weird and the lyrics are more pronounced so if you were looking for lyrics look for the old one but if you want one that sounds good go with the new one

  • i like the beginning of the old one with the sirens but overall i like the new one more

  • the part where he yells perfect insnity, should be in the new one, but in a different place, like right after the corus and they shoudl have kept the interlude

  • no disturbed song is ever bullshit....just better then original

  • the old one had a more insanity theme but it sounded a bit wierd but the new one just kicks pure ass! in the end as a songn I perfer the new one but the old onen is more insane!

  • it wouldve been tight if they kept the siren at the beginning on, even tho they used a siren intro with indestructible (the single)

  • The second one is really cool since it has the new school Disturbed hard rock sound butthe form of the old school, unheard Disturbed.

  • i cant hear the cool base line in the new one! and the intro part which i liked is gone... old one i say is much much better

  • i like them both but i wish they also rerecorded the original the way it is with better quality

  • dude the newer one sounds a lot better his voice sounds teribble in the old

  • i like the new one much better

  • the older one seems to have really bad quality.

and i dont like the voice XD

NEW one rulez. i play it every time i max

  • i like both of the versions. and im glad i got both of them on my mp3

  • i think the newer one is waaaay better lol the old one's alright but i like the newer one better

  • they ar both really good..the thing with the old one is that they were just starting out and couldnt get a hold of proffesional recording equipment..i think they both have their own special parts and are equal.

  • I think the old one is better, but the new one kicks ass too!

  • Damn... i love the old one. They could make the new one better if they leave this shout "Perfect Insanity!" at the half of the verse.... You can feel the real insanity in this words. Other than that new version just sounds cleaner :)

  • for the longest time this was the only disturbed song i didn't like

    so glad they re-made it

  • They souldn't have redone it the old one was way better.

  • Why do you think so?

  • the new one is better but the bass is insane on the old

  • yea i agree completely but god listen to that bass its insanity!! maybe thats y they called this song perfect insanity :P:P but i wanna download this and i cant find it anywhere! could someone reply to this and give me the album name!!!

  • the old one was never released if i remember correctly

  • your right, the old one was never released but it did get leaked cause i have a copy of the old version and the new

  • the new one is much better

  • The new one is far better the solo is better the vocals are more driven and you can understand it all perfectly

  • i like new one lil bit more

  • i just h8 the way david sings in the new one he sounds better in the old one and it is a pure classic i still like the new one and guitar solo in it is amazing

  • The new one is better but the bass in this is amazing. The guitar solo not so good and the drums not so good either. The vocals have there ups and downs

  • I like the guitar solo in the new one better, but I like the ending vocals in the old one better

    The remake still wins overall

  • That's actually a pretty cool bass groove from the original, in the first half of the verses. But I have to admit, the new one is a lot better.

  • I like both. The old one has David's singing in his soft demonic voice like on the Sickness and a hardcore bass from Fuzz. The new one is better quality, David's darker and deeper vocals, with I think different tuning on the guitar.

Both are amazing, Disturbed is amazing

  • the new song is more of them now

but the old version has a incredible bass

    love it

  • i like the new one best

  • new 1

  • Ambas versiones me parecen buenas, y si disturbed quería retomarla lo mas obvio seria hacer unos retoques mas acordes a 10 años despues, aunque la esencia no se pierde. es una buena cancion

  • the bass is not really that bad it`s just louder than everything else.

  • new 1 deffinately

  • its hard to judge because the first one was recorded badly. But I think im still gonna go with the new one because the first one sounds dumb during the verse when theres just bass and when he goes PER-FECT IN-SAN-I-TY!

  • the original is better in my mind because it sounds more insane and fits the song better. and i like the old disturbed.New one still kicks ass dont gt me wrong but i like the old more

  • actualy perfect insanity wasn't on the actual sickness cd ,and the old is much better i say for the opening ,and the part where he says ,if u take a look around ,it sounds like he says die ,next ,so i think its better

  • I no dere is a big difference but either way the song still kicks ass

  • oh yeah, they def. matured overtime with better guitars and better effects!!!

  • Lol the old one is kinda dumb with the little bit during the Verse where he's like PERFECT INSANITY!

  • No-brainer, new one.

  • The Bass on the old one sucks

  • the first one is good but i like the second one better...vocals are stronger and the guitar is more solid sounding plus the solo is pretty good too

  • Thank god they redid it. It had sooo much more potential and the original sounds really halfassed compared to this new one. But i guess theres a lot more talent now after what 10 years?

  • i like perfect insanity #1 the best

  • nice vid i like new version better

  • rofl the old 1 is better, its just that noone heard it at the time, now they hear this one, which is nothing compared to it and think that its good.

  • I personally prefer the first one, but I do like that the second one has a guitar solo.

  • i gotta say, the second one is better

  • Id have to say that the second one was of coarse better than the first, first was a little fuzzy sounding, while the second as clear as daylight.

  • I think they need the priginal lyrics and this instrumental of the new one they need to say PERFEST INSANITY to make it better

  • it wa sinteresting to hear th old one but I love the new one too much as well as "the night"

  • well the new 1 is way better the sound the music and when he sings the only things i miss from the old is the insane voice :S when he says like perfect insanity or only xD ;D

  • guys i dont get it ? the old 1 ? what album is that on? i got all of the albums but i dont have the song ;P?

  • the old one was never released

  • Its on a bonus editon album with songs including Hell and The Sickned

  • I think that the new one is better except the old one has more of psychotic sound to it which needs to be put in the new one like the random scream of PERFECT INSANITY.

  • New 1 sounds better

  • the new one is best cuz his sound on the old one sux and the solo in the new one is better

  • i cant choose :P

  • Personally i love both versions but i like the modernized version due to my generation i suppose becuase my father loves the old one, and hes only about 40 i think lol, they both are great.^^ add me LOL

  • i really like the new one but i think theres good elements from both the songs that could hav been combined

  • New one is by far the best track on the album and better than the oridgeinal but like the old one its atually quite good they should of put it on the album as a bounus track

  • The Remake is much better, i dont know but its SO GOOD!

  • any one whos likes disturbed comment back and add me as friend

  • people think Joh Stole Fuzz'z work he did not says so on the making of Indestructible DVD grr like both versions but the new one is up to date Disturbed is Forever (eternity)

  • yeah, i like the new one better, the old one is very boring to me

  • I prefer the overall sound of the new version, but I must say it's missing one important thing. And it's not the occasional shout of 'Perfect Insanity'. It's the way David sings the chorus. In the new version... it's okay... pretty rockin'. In the old... He is ROARING out the lyrics! And I appreciate that.

  • i thought that i would have liked the old one more, but damn, the new was really good, but old one does win out in my mind, at least

  • NEW ONE = WINNER

OLD ONE = NOT THE WINNER

  • i like the new one better, i sorta liked the old one, but this is soooo much better

  • the old one sucks

  • Love new one. Although the old one was more rocker-ish, like the kind that would get you pumped at a concert, the new one is more modernized. AWESOME!!! =[]!

  • the old 1's gr8 but i personaly prefer the new version

  • like em both

  • i personally like the old one better than the new one

  • me too

  • i play bass so i love the old version a lot more but the ending piece of the song is much better in the newer version for drummers.

  • ya and the new version has a more complex guitar solo

  • yes it is a good remake and i love the new guitar solo. ever since the original bassist (fuzz) left after there second album the bass parts havent been as good but there music is still awesome.

  • What this is, is not a matter of which is better, but rather just how a band can evolve. The production quality in general is much more crisp on the newer version, due to probably having more to work with after several successful albums. Either way, they are both great.

  • i like the new one more but in theold one, i love it when he screams Perfect Insanity!

  • old one actually kinda annoyed me

  • to Ffllaanndd...

me 2 xD...i love the new version though...its way better..WHEN THERE COMING TO HOLLAND AGAIN!!!

  • theres a high and a low for both, High Old = riffs are less crisp and more jagged,Low Old = can understand what they are saying and when he screams Perfect Insanity,High New = crisper drums and no screaming of Perfect Insanity,Low New = more crisp riffs

  • the perfect insanity scream makes better the old version! LOL

  • Old one was good and all, but the new one Sounded better. The instrumentals are stronger in the new version. Much more well done.

  • I like the new one, it has more power and more instrumental and effect. The old one is still good.

  • I actually like the old version better. It was more gritty. Although the new one is crisp, which is good.

  • Before Disturbed was signed, David Draiman had such a weird voice, because he didn't use his trademark staccato howl. I hate in the old one where he screams "PERFECT INSANITY!!". Ugh.

But Disturbed still rocks nonetheless. Can't wait till June 3rd, a rockin' album (Indestructible) and a rockin' video game (Ninja Gaiden 2). I wonder if they'll fit together...

  • Obviously the new one's better, that's the whole point of a re-make: to improve. I think the old one is a very god song too, and I like them both. I'm also very happy they made such an awesome remake. I'm definitely gonna buy the new CD to support Disturbed and enjoy the songs at their best quality.

  • the old one blows

  • yeah, the old one was completely frickin garage.

  • The remake for sure

  • The new one is better because he uses better guitar techniques and it sounds clearer, but most will say because better studio equip but it still wouldnt with the slight changes in the riff. THIS SONGS GOES TO SHOW THEY HAVENT SOLD OUT LIKE OTHERS

I guess Chicago can still rock.

  • The new one sounds better, but there's no debating lyrics on the old one cuz you can hear everything a little clearer (if you don't agree, I don't care).

  • the new one is way better

  • keep the structure of the first, except take out the "PERFECT INSANITY!!" parts - they give the song a stop/start feel which just doesnt work for me, but add the quality of the sound and davids improved talent as a singer and its bloody awesome, theyre both damn good anyway

  • I like both of them quite alot, however, I think I like the newer one better. Why? Mostly because I heard the newer one first is partially the reason and it sounds clearer and the vocals and instrumentals sound more fierce and with deeper emotion... if that's what it's called.

  • yea i agree except the drums on the old 1 OWN lol

  • New one is better.

  • like em both

  • The verses in the new one are a lot better, and David's singing is better in the new one. It's just more organized and thought out for guitar.

  • well you have to realize the old one was made before disturbed was signed so it is fairly old

  • Yea, before the sickness album

  • the new one is better and good guitar riffs

  • i like the new one alot better, the vocals just seem so much better to me and the new one just sounds like it goes with the music more and it kind of sounds weird when the vocals echo

  • ok the first is way differnt then the new,i love them both and id put both on my ipod,i cant waiting until the cd comes out im buying it,disturbed is the only band that i buy there cds.Disturbed is the best band of all time.

  • i like them both...

the old one is nice because of his voice

but the second one is diffrent but still his voice is nice.

I go think i will go for the new one because his voice is stronger and louder..

    i like that

  • Why complain about the bassist? i mean Disturbed is Disturbed ya know? i mean sure Fuzz was the shit but the new bassist is pretty good himself.

  • new one alll the way

  • i think i like the old better... seems alot more stripped down and raw. and i like the PERFECT INSANITY!! part better

  • I like his voice better in the new version...

  • people only seem to like the old one because of the bass and some complain that you can't hear the bass in this one, its obvious that you aren't listening to the music. i can hear every aspect of it, and i prefer the new one as well

  • the new version every thing sounds better and indestructible comes out june 3rd not june 2nd

  • simlpy awesome 5/5 on new version

  • The first is good in terms of sound, speed, and the "PERFECT INSANITY!!!" bits. The new one is good in terms of it's overall improvements. YEAH!!!!!

  • I like both...however I prefer the new one. It seems like it is faster than the old one. His voice for Indestructible make the song Perfect Insanity, whereas the pre-Sickness doesn't. It sounds too innocent.

  • I like the bass work in the old version, but overall I like the new version better.

  • the old one sounds better to me... i like it when he whispers in the end, and i like the bass... the new version is good but i thinkd the solo doesn't sound good in this song... still they both kick ass

  • Both songs are good, the old one has a bit more kick in some places, whereas the new one has better sound quality and has it's own kick that makes it rock just as hard.

  • old one wins cuz of the bass

  • IMO the new one is much better.

  • In the old one it sounds more like the insanity thing of the song but the new one has a better guitar performance

  • yeah but the old one is badass!

  • I like the new one better btw

  • the old one isnt that great because it has too much sound effects and it doesnt show the full extent of draimans voice, but the new one shows a bit of calm and a bit of metal in his voice aswell

  • there both awsome but new one is better

  • Chorus of the old version is better. But the new one definitely has a better instrumental stuff.

  • The old version they made long before just isn't there style it all, it used a lot of audio clips and a creepy sound that you would hear more in a slipknot song than in a disturbed song, they would of been more like slipknot with the old way, the new song version is much better!

  • both songs rock!

  • The new one is Disturbed style the other one is not thats why they are sooo much better now

  • I like the new version much better. Vocally and the guitar work. but i like the bass on the old version. BRANDED LIKE AN ANIMAL!
