Amazing model my friend!!!.It seems that you liki risks dont you? i mean how the hell did you made that cockpit its simply amazing!!!,.Keep modeling. Greetings from Argentina.
@nachogranatemalvarg Oddly enough, I think it's the taking of those risks that somehow enable you to complete the task itself! :) Thanks for watching! :)
@dondeyout1 Well, I went ahead and lopped off the front end, hollowed that out and built the Jumo engine. I'm currently working on the engine bearers in between my electroshock therapy. ;)
Did somebody mention MADMAN? Well, I have to agree.. but a very gifted madman.. and you're obviously having great fun with the hobby, taking it to another dimension! This, my friend, is a prizewinner.. (pending no future misshaps) and you should really contact a magazine like SAMI (scale Aircraft Modelling International) or any other modelling magazine of that ilk.. because they would publish, without any doubt! Good photos, great story.. This is simply superb.. ALL of it so far! :) Oh yes.. :)
@BasicModelling I'm guessing YT's recent 'maintenance' is the reason I didn't get notification of your comment, Rob as I've only just discovered it!
Anyway, thank you for your kind and as always, inspiring words.
I figured that if I was going to go to all this trouble, I might as well do the engine! So I now have something that appears to resemble a Jumo engine and am currently making the bearers. So far, one has 15 parts to it and that doesn't include the support leg! Mad. :)
@MakingModelsAgain I'm beginning to get slightly worried now... ;) Anyway, thank you VERY much for the gift in the post!! I opened it (couldn't wait) and oddly enough the picture is of the one and only P-47 I have actually seen flying, (MX-X No Guts, No Glory), it did loop the loops outside my bedroom window a few years ago, as it displayed over Boxted. The next day I saw it again at the show itself! It will indeed be a handy apron for when I cook on Christmas eve... :) :) :)
Great video and amazing work. I wish you had gone a bit more into details about the cockpit interior though. I would really have liked to see how you actually did :)
get a grip of yourselves people , modelers have been doing this for 50-60 years , this is a rather simple quicky tossed together vac block, it's very easy to do .However I do give credit to MMA for going the extra step. But it's not like a sorcerers magic art that only few people possess to amaze the masses...lol
oh my...! wow! i guess you are a madman, but a very smart and gifted madman :) the cockpit details are better than a 1/32 model and the way you made your own canopy is very very clever and sophisticated. i always wondered how is can be done, so thanks for sharing your knowledge.
@888HamilkarBarkas888 When I set out to try this, I had no idea if it would work. Problem was, this was after I'd done the cockpit, so I really had to do something or loose that detail! I'm also working on an old 1/144 Imperial Airways Heracles and again, scratch-building the interior. But for that one, I'm using the 'plunge' method to form the little windows! Another learning experience! Cheers, Michael! :)
@MakingModelsAgain thats the good thing about our hobby, you can´t know every single technique, there is always something new to learn :) i will have to deal with something similar in the next time, i need some broken glass for a diorama. i don´t know how to do that but i hope to find it out soon :)

That is clever - does it work with pets to make a dog shaped jelly mould?

@MrRandomWritings As long as the dog is very, very, very small!

Wow! You must love challenging yourself. Amazing work there. Can't wait to see the build video, the tiny little cockpit details are outstanding.
