silva's fight wasn't the best or the most entertaining, but the way he did things still back up the fact that he deserves to be the champion and that in this weight class (at least) he doesn't have a real challenger.

There is no way either one of them could step into each others world. The many times UFC fighters get caught on the chin and knocked the fuck out boxers take those type of punches all the time and never go to the ground. So it works both ways. A UFC fighter wouldn't stand a chance in a boxing ring and a boxer wouldn't stand a chance in the Octagon. But one good thing is that the boxer could take a punch on the chin better then a UFC fighter could.

boxing (which i love and practiced) is more limited than MMA. I can assure you that no boxer can fight on the ground or efficiently block leg kicks...they lack huge elements like take down defense or the ability to avoid submissions. i'm sure a guy like mirko cro cop would KO any heavyweight boxer with any of his left high kicks!

Well i agree both in there separate elements are deadly and of course no boxer would stand a chance on the ground or stand up to kicks against and MMA fighter just like in a bare knuckle fight an MMA fighter would be at a slight dis-advantage. Personally the rules in UFC will change if they want to grow there fan base. Alot of people think that each rounds should alternate from standup to ground. My disappointment shouldn't have been to much but i felt that once Anderson Silva started to dominate in the stand up neither one wanted to leave their comfort zone to take a chance on something else. Great stragedy and technically brilliant yes. Boring yes as well. But for people trying to get into this sport i guess thats something they will have to get use to to truly be a fan of MMA. A win is a win. Theites didn't make this an entertaining match. I hate how these fights go to the ground so much, it makes things uninteresting so Silva kept the fight standing. My only problem with Silva is that he seemed hesitant too often. He would cut Theites off as if to make sure he couldn't get away from his strikes but then Silva wouldn't strike. He should've knocked Theites out for thinking he could compete instead he made it seem like Theites was good enough to make this last 5 rds

I only said "Shogun without stomping will never be the Pride Shogun". If you see his fights on Pride, you are going to understand that stomping played a great role in his game. He can (and should) recover his cardio and all that, but the "Pride Shogun" is lost. I agree that not allowing elbows is a handcap for ground and pounders, but I think Coleman did pretty good in Pride, the gyus he lost to are monsters Fedor (twice), Nogueira etc. I don't think elbows would have made any difference...

The guy is incredible on the ground, and we all know how good Silva is on the ground, Leites is ten times better, but... he is suspect standing up, so if Silva gets him which every genius is predicting it will be by knock out from one of the crazy strikes Silva has to offer, but I wouldn't count Leites out just yet, wait and see the fight.

I don't think Chuck's finished, if you look at the evans fight he wasn't dominated he was caught with a punch that would knock anyone out. Shogun's cardio is questionable and at such a high level of mma it can't afford to be. Chuck takes this fight by KO.
