My mom has a regular royale. I WOULDNT HESISTATE TO BUY THIS, its a great car. It floats down the road like ur on a boat. Its quite spacious also. It would be fasinating to have a car that kind of sleeper. How much do you want for this? It's a very beautiful car, or have u sold it?

@crammage for the 1994 Eighty Eight LSS the EPA Fuel economy rating of 19 City/28 Highway...not bad for a car this Big...the V6 is of course powerful as well.

best car ever made. i have 95 olds 88 with the 3800 series 2. its fucking fast. way faster than grand prix gt. it ran with boltons 14.6. at 31 mpg ill say it again best car ever built. VERY easy to work on. and its flat out fun and quick. with great mpg. amazing. they dont build cars this good today. im shopping for an olds 88 95 right now there is plenty out there. its a special year. very common parts. but rare configuration that makes them fast

BTW, love this 88, i had a maroon 95 like this, with leather, loaded up... That thing ran soooo sweeet!!! I sold it and bought a lincoln town car... anyways, i always loved driving those 88's and 98's with the 3800 v6's. I had a 89 bonneville with the 3800 and you couldn't kill it... It had 167k when i sold it...

I am a small car collector myself. I drive a black 2009 Mercedes C63 AMG and a black 2009 Mercedes G55 AMG (which I share with a buddy of mine). I'm looking for a black 1997-1999 W140 S600 and a black 1995-1997 Lincoln Town car. These cars are hard to find in mint, clean and stock condition.

This Oldsmobile 88 is a great looking car. Especially the back looks amazing. I remember when I was like 14, 15 I saw one of these in St.Petersburg, Russia. That was the only and last time I saw this car.

@koioo2 its a Buick 3.8L V6 (231 ci) Supercharged version. The N/A version comes standard in all of the GM H/C body vehicles - the Bonneville, 88, 98, LeSabre, and Park Avenue. The Cadillac Deville used the 4.6L Northstar engine, and that was also available in 04-05 in the Park Avenue and Bonneville... The Bonneville, Olds 88/98, Buick LeSabre/Park Ave/Lucerne, and Cadillac DeVille all shared the same platform

@koioo2 GM deleted the Oldsmobile and Pontiac Divisions, but the only remaining "remnents" of this era is the Cadillac DTS and the Buick Lucerne, which are scheduled to be replaced in the next couple years. They are "old school", from the mid 1980s, using an engine that was designed in the late 1950s, put into service first in the early 1960s. Also, GM had too many cars that were basically identical, that competed against each other. But yes they were good cars, GM just had to move forward

@koioo2 the intrigue was a renamed Cutlass supreme and was the same car as the Grand Prix, the Lumina (renamed the Impala in 2000), the Monte Carlo, and the Buick Century and Regal (which were renamed LaCrosse). The LaCrosse was placed on a new platform and the Impala is the only remaining car on the old "GM W-platform" from 1987. No Olds line sold well after the mid 1980s when GM began its 2nd wave of downsizing and moved to FWD (known as the cookie cutter era at GM under Roger Smith).

Actually the intrigue never was a Cutlass Supreme, it was an en entirely different car. The late model 97-99 Cutlass Supreme was nothing more than a upscale Chevrolet Malibu with the 3100 V6.

@Jon3800 The Cutlass Supreme (fwd) was renamed "Intrigue" in 1998 when GM was attempting to rename all the Oldmobile vehicles. It was on the same platform (W-body) as all other GM sister makes. The old 1987 body style was retired and the new style came with a "new name'. Same with the Buick Century and Regal when they were renamed LaCrosse. The 97-99 Cutlass was an N-body which shared the exact body shell with the Chevrolet Malibu. It replaced the N-body Achieva/Calais and L-body Corsica

@koioo2 the DeVille was renamed DTS since GM was moving toward the "letter model" in Cadillac... (XLR, DTS, CTS, STS). DTS was previously a "trim-line" of the DeVille. Ford now uses this similar "letter series" in its LIncolns. Use of letters was an attempt to follow German automakers. The STS and DTS will be dropped in favor of a new full size Cadillac to replace both.. The "new" Regal is an attempt to draw younger customers into the buick showroom....

@koioo2 GM wasn't able to compete in auto market like it once did, and even Ford had passed up GM on quality. General Motors had too many cars that were basically the "same car" with different grilles and tail lights sold under too many different name plates. Ford also was running into a similar problem so it dropped its Mercury line, same way GM dropped its Pontiac and Olds lines. You can't have too many duplicated cars and try to sell them in this day and age. GM still has no need for buick

@biglinc1 The Idiots kept the wrong Brand the should have kept Pontiac but then again im a Pontiac fan... even Olds was better than buick but its all a chevy olds buick & pontiac should have just been made into special order brands where you order a chevy and add the Pontiac Olds or Buick opitions.../ grill and tail... but im a bit Nostalgic i guess i cant see giving away the brands hell nissan or toyota some JDM automaker now owns the olds Trademark and have pkand to relaunch as a jap car NOOOO

@CerealMarshmallows the GM idiots let the copyright expire on the Olds name in 06. Toyota picked up it for a song while GM was still trying to figure out how to sell Chevy's with Buick emblems... I think if GM had pushed the Olds brand more it could have survived. i definately think Buick was one that definately should have gone away - was never a Buick fan. My dad always said that GM deleted 2 of the best GM brands - Pontiac and Olds - his faves... Can u imagine a JDM 98 regency?? *shrugs*

The Olds Intrigue was a midsize car...you must be thinking the Olds Alero. The main reason why the Oldsmobile division was closed was primarily slow sales...the same fate happened to saturn, pontiac, and hummer.

i only know chevy alero.i think slow sales is cause from large cars v8ts its now most v6 european cars

chevy orlando is basic a opel.manny cars saturn has 2 opel and regal 2010.think most like mi self see old days as real american cars

@Jon3800 the Olds Alero shared the same platform with the 97-99 Olds Cutlass and 97-03 Chevy Malibu and 04 Chevy Classic, along with the Pontiac Grand Am. These were GM N-platform cars. The Grand Am was the last N-body car sold by GM in 2005. The Alero was also the last vehicle GM sold under the Oldsmobile brand.... The N-body dates back to the 1985 model year with the introduction of the Olds Calais, Buick Someset/Skylark, and Pontiac Grand Am
