Maine Pyar Kiya has tons of charm and emotion that is completely lacking in most of today's Bollywood blockbusters.

Most Bollywood movies back then and even today are "ordinary and amateurish". Like I said before, the reason audiences back then enjoyed MPK so much was because it was a charming tale and promoted traditional family values. In addition, MPK was an influential movie which set the template that would later be imitated by countless Bollywood movies throughout the 90s and early 2000s. Without MPK, there'd be no Hum Aapke, Dilwale Dulhaniya, Kuch Kuch, K3G, etc.
