I have followed the BRCD/FDRY aquisition from Jan 2009 on. With regret I see how former Foundry is going against the wall by arrogant and incapable managers, especially in EMEA. If you have an understanding for SAN it does not mean you understand LAN/Ethernet. But why sould you listen to those people ? People who counted for multi-million $ reveune in the Foundry LAN business.
Actually in the Layer2/3 internet/core datacentre Ethernet switches Brocade/Foundry have much better products than anything that Cisco has on the table. In the enterprise segment I think foundry has some catching up although the RX is quiet possibly the best wiring closet switch on the market.

WOW... He's... Well....
"We didn't grow our Ethernet business as fast as we had planned".
Are you kidding me??? He shrunk the Ethernet business a bunch as he doesn't have a clue what to do in my opinion.
"It's not a product issues."
What? They are way behind JNPR and Cisco in their Ethernet offering.
The PR folks should have put a Micky Mouse hat on him. It would have fit what he said and made him look better in my opinion.
