For a live performance, this is perfectly executed—and the lead guitar work is spot on. Thank you for posting this. Do you know where and when this was recorded?
@katykqd It seems like I saw this same video but someone else posted a while back - they must have removed it but if I remember right - that one said recorded in London. I could be wrong though
April Wine, Trooper, Triumph,Prism. Canadian band that rocked but never got the air play or respect they deserved on the U.S.side. Glad I got to live in a border town and enjoy them!
oh the memories.....in the backseat with my high school girlfriend and a cold Moosehead.. those were the days, no worries about the cops..they would just pour the beer out and send you on your way.
a song i did not like in the early 80s but have come to like the past 10+ years. good band with a hideous look. this look was horrible even by early 80s standards.
I must be unusual. I love stuff from all eras as long as it is good music like this. This song came out when I was a kid.I like all kinds of Rock, Glam, Punk, Thrash, Techno, Pop, R&B, 50's stuff. Love Johnny Cash. Willie Nelson. System of a Down, Moby, Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, Some rap (like JZ or Eminem), Lady Gaga (not at first). Anything from Country, to Five Finger Death Punch. Give all stuff a try. If it is good, it will show.
When looking over videos from the late 80's and before you get tons of comments asking the same question: "Why can't music be like this anymore?" Which is funny because I remember someone from back then listening to a Jimi Hendrix album saying, "Why can't music be like this anymore?"
@jtmichaelson Hendricks was before our time. People who comment "Why can't music be like this anymore?", didn't do Hendricks. Our older brothers or sisters might have. People who come here to listen to this are sure that no other generation could match our music. We know that each generation feels the same way, but we are just waxing nostalgic.
I remember dancing to this in junior high and thinking the song was never going to end...then some teacher would have the lights thrown on and bust up what was the beginning of a promising night....
To the girl that once dedicated this song to me as "our" song, every time I hear this, it takes me back to those days when we were young, free and we had nothing but time on our hands. I wish things had worked out between us and I had made better decisions in life. For me, this song will always remind me of you - wherever you are, forever young.
THIS IS WAY THE 70'S AND 80'S WILL NEVER EVER DIE TIMELESS FOREVER................. GOOD ORIGINAL STORY TELLING...YOU WILL NOT FIND ANY MUSIC OUT NOW THAT WILL LAST 20 YEARS..........................
@davs1wife ...umm, Good try. April Wine wrote fun rock, but its throw away music. Not in anyones top 500 all time bands. There a several current bands that will be considered some of the greatest of all time...Radiohead is one, Wilco, and no not Coldplay (Radiohead lite).
@TThirdplaneTT if you honestly believe that radiohead is better than coldplay, and even more so, april wine and many of the 80's bands .. then i can only guess you are 14 and on your parents computer .. wipe your nose and come back when you grow up kiddo
Dont get much better than this!!
