  • so cool!

  • Thereso oddly beautiful!

  • tap dancing animals, what will the creator think of next

  • What a cutie :D When you walk them, do you always need to keep them on a lead? Or does it depend on the individual animal, like dogs? :)

  • @xoxoRiverTamxoxo Well they don't come when called so mostly. I let her off in the yard our on our front area and just follow her and pick her up as needed but mostly they would need a leash. They will just ran and explore where they want.

  • omg i love Anteaters i want one so bad!!! i want one like this and a giant one lol!

  • "Don't mind me, I'm just taking my Anteater for a walk" lol

  • I'd piss myself If I saw something like that chasing me

  • @AssyrianPowers : Ahahahaha, this is the best comment I've ever seen ^_^ We obviously have similar senses of humour ^_^

  • @AssyrianPowers roflmao :'D

  • Clackety clackety clackety

  • what the fuck did i just see?

  • well at least you won't have to worry about ants in your backyard anymore

  • hows it like having an anteater i mean is it like having adog to take care of or an exotic pet is it legal 0_0

  • @chaosfox72 They sre exotic, mostly very nocturnal and their pee smells skunky. Legal varied by state, county, and city.

  • @TamanduaGirl how did you acquire such a lovely animal? potty trainable or not at all?

  • @dkurmanov Kinda potty trainable they will pick a favorite spot and you can encourage it with treats but they will leak a bit of pee when running around sometimes like rats do and they can't help that.

  • WTF was that fucking thing?

  • stunning little guy, i would love to have one as a pet.

  • When u go out with it do people/strangers plays with it? cause if i walk pass such a cute animal, i will definitly play with it

  • @pureWTH No. She's not stranger friendly, though not aggressive either, she just wants to keep running and fights the leash till we get moving again.

  • where would one buy these

  • He'd be a great tap dancer.

  • @with33 youre kidding right? or a troll? thats an anteater.

  • @solusumbra dude that doesnt look like an ant eater that shit looks like a mix between rat and a cat its fucked up man really fucked up!

  • @with33 i think your looking at your mom not an anteater

  • i amagin avery one sent complates about a giant rat on a leash

  • what kind of dog is that?lol

  • where did you got him? I really want one

  • Where can you buy an animal like that, if in the USA, can you buy them in Indiana?

  • this is a weird looking cat!

  • I agree that the average person has no business owning an exotic animal, but if you read TamanduaGirl's comments on her other videos, she's obviously done her homework. Perhaps the 'haters' would be doing more good by commenting on all the videos of untrained dogs, or declawed cats, or iguanas being fed lettuce, or goldfish in ten gallon tanks... you get my drift?

  • @cmorris83 good comment. Also, how many people dump their dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and rats at shelters or give them away on craigslist because suddenly they "can't afford it" or moved, had a baby, etc.? When you get a pet, you are obligated to providing it with appropriate care for it's LIFE because they are entirely dependent on you. There are way too many people who shouldn't even be allowed to own a dog, let alone a tamandua!

  • Can you get these ordered into canada?

  • @sapfyreo Yes but only if they come from the USA, or so I was told. On the other hand most providences ban them so check that out first and then check with the import inspection people(forget exact name) on what is needed for import.

  • where do you buy them?

  • @danielle9100 PetCo

  • @scrubjay93 how much do they cost

  • @danielle9100 thousands

  • no tenes un poco de cerebro?? ese animal tiene que estar en la selva!

don´t you have any neuron?? tamanduas must be in the jungle !!

  • @YungasDeJujuy Nkice to say but the jungle keeps disappearing at an alarming rate. Some live in the planes but then they are disappearing too. They are regularly killed and mutilated by dogs, killed on roads, electrocuted on power lines, killed as nuisance animals and sometimes tortured(saw a video). Then there are the natural dangers of fire, famine, floods, predators like eagles, jaguars, and ocelots.

  • @YungasDeJujuy 2 All of that is supposedly better than being loved, well fed, taken care of medically, played, with and her every want and need met by me.

I will never feel bad for giving her a chance to love the good life with me. I did do year of research before getting her as well. So I do know how to care for her.

  • @TamanduaGirl

And that is great to hear! : D.. People will say those kind of animals are meant for the Wild, but that doesn't have to be the case! If you raise, care and have love for a animal that is normally only in the wild, I'm sure it is way happier than it could be in the wild!

  • I own a Macaw and 2 parrots. Along with 2 dogs. They all get along really well and the reaction they get from visitors is awesome. I can't imagine how cool it would be to own an anteater. You are quite lucky!

  • I wanna get one when I grow up, but I guess for now I'll just learn about them :P

  • there is a comic on line, "nature of nature's art" it has talking animals and the 10% story arch features one of these Tamandulas

  • Where do you happen to get one? Im quite educated and i was curious where you got yours?

  • @xGingaWarriorx She came from Guyana. It's not easy to import them and domestic births are rare. she was a failure at wild living.

  • @TamanduaGirl Oh wow your pretty lucky then :)

  • @TamanduaGirl awe bless her haha, atleast she has a home with you as she cant live in the wild. she has a nice family to look after her :) like a baby i suppose

  • i like the clacky sounds that come from his feet.

  • I now know what i want for my birthday haha

  • What is the average lifespan for one in "captivity"? (I hate that term, but I guess it's accurate?) And also...do they ever get aggressive? Those front digging/wood tearing claws could be DANGEROUS! I love your videos, thanks for posting them. I've never really seem much of ant eaters besides quick glimpses on nature shows.

  • It's the most commonly used term it would also be accurate to say "kept domestically"

Early teens is probably average but they really only keep statistics on the oldest lived ones. The oldest was 19 years and a teen year old had a baby last year.

They only react in self defense and will threaten you first, preferring not to fight. If scared they will lash out if you mess with them but will run given the chance. They love to play fight though and can play a little rough sometimes.

  • when your walking her are people like what the hell is that?

  • Sometimes.

  • I think you are not allowed to have this kind of pets in Portugal... or even in the EU...

  • Love the noise of her claws, tappa tappa tappa tappa.

Do they have to be trimmed like a cat or dogs nails?

  • I do file her claws so they don't get to sharp.

  • Do people ever stop and ask you about him? Any stories? They look so friendly and amazing but I'm sure they're hard to take care of, a pet store near me sells them on occasions and they look really nice.

  • Yes but I don't often take her where there are a lot of people. She doesn't like to be stopped when she's out. Mainly people ask if she's an anteater or what she is. Pua's sweet with me but a momma's girl and doesn't care for strangers. Stewie was more out going but also wasn't as snuggly. He thought everyone should have treats for him.

  • people! dogs are not the only pets in this world!

  • @tannydevil but remember, pets like these are High Maintenance, please be knowing of that before purchasing such a pet.

  • @tannydevil i know! There are also cats!

  • This video is so cute.

  • holy shit where did you find an ant eater? are they good pets?

  • Florida. They are hard to get still trying to get her a male friend.

There is a link to my FAQ in the video description. I think they are great pets but are a lot of work and worry.

  • i like his tale

  • how do you get that

  • Its the most obvious thing ever its an anteater.

  • What IS that?!

  • a dog obviously you spastic

  • Actually, it's an anteater... I asked the creator :P

  • God?

  • It's half-rabbit half-ferret, blind much?

  • It's an anteater.. Can you read other comments?

  • What animal is that?

  • tamandua anteater

  • SCORCH3DxX,shut the hell up,fucknuts,it's an anteater dumbass!

  • shut the hell up asswipe!

  • How did u get these, i want one.

  • You need a USDA license to buy one and in most cases will need a state permit.

  • i think theres something wrong with ur dog u should take it 2 the vets it looks weird

  • your annoying

  • It's an anteater stupid.

  • whats an anteater?

  • An animal that eats ANTS.

    Look it up.

  • How can you not see that thats an anteater?!!?! no dog looks like that and no dog could have such a long tounge

  • To:SCORCH3DxX. Your ignorant. You need to be educated and stop being so stupid and rude. That comment was completely unnecessary. If you don't know how to tell the difference between a dog and an anteater then you need to go to school.

  • i agree with you Lisa

  • Thanks :)

  • No its an anteater, sometimes YOU need to beleive what other people say or you wont know the truth. just saying, but it is most definatly an anteater

  • you are retarded

  • your a specky ugly cunt fuck urself

  • haha thats why you thought it was a dog xD

  • were you joking about it? or completly wasted?

  • neither

  • oh so just stupid. oki doki

  • SCORCH3DxX, ur really mean. its an anteater. either ur high all the time or just love acting like an asshole on the internet commenting on ppl's vids cuz u have nothing better to do in your life.

Frankly i watch these vids cuz 1 i want an anteater. 2. i think they are very cute.

your comments are just worthless and stupid. stop posting and save room for the ppl tht actually have ?s and compliments. thank you

  • Correction Its not an anteater its a Tamandua :)

  • dumb ass

  • what the heck is that??

  • Lesser anteater - Tamandua Tetradactyla

  • where did you get it?

  • She came from Guyana and had to be nursed back to health. She was a failure at wild living.

  • can thepy be potty trained ???

  • Yeah but they dribble pee anyway and can't help it, like rats and mice. And they still occasionally will try to pee somewhere they shouldn't

  • why aint his tail fuzzy

  • They climb trees a lot and the tail grips better without hair.

  • Why do you have hamsters? You realized they were captured from the wild in the 1940s bred in labs then went into the pet trade. They roam miles of territory in the wild. I assume you don't give them miles of land to run in a wild like setting. How cruel of you too keep a wild animal in a cage. My "wild" animal lives free in a whole room & gets the whole house & yard to roam when not alone and gets long walks in the woods so does get miles to roam & trees to climb.

  • if she treats it well like i presume than its fine.

  • Oh Christ Heather...go eat your tofu and quit trying to judge...

  • your anteater kicks ass! and I WANT ONE!!!!

  • wat the hell is that?!?!

  • aren't anteaters illegal to keep as pets?

  • It depends on where you live.

  • then where do you live? in the USA? i want one :)

  • I'm in The USA but there are different State, County and city laws that can stand in the way.

  • lol imagine seeing that while ur wakling ur dog

  • Yeah, I'd deffinately have to do a double take if I was walking my dog there. That's awesome (that u know what ur doing as well)

  • where did you get your pet?????

  • She came from Guyana. Please see the FAQ. I added the link to the video description.

  • I love Tamandua's!! :)

  • omg she's such a happy fellow :D

  • That's awesome, I didn't know you could keep those as pets.

  • LOLOL thats so cute!!!

  • I'm surprised that you can keep the harness on her. Have you ever had her slip it?

  • Yes but she doesn't normally try to slip free. she ignores it.

  • Well that's great then. I'm glad you seem to handle them very well.

  • How do people react to her? These animals are so cool.

    Cheers

  • Not had any real negative reactions. People will do double takes or ask what she is.

  • fuck that'd be strange seeing someone walking an anteater.

  • @41odyssey Exactly what i was thinking :D

  • ant eaters are the cutest thing ever omg!

  • Aw that tamndua's marking look similar to a siamese cat. So cute.

  • Because people would think I was kinky.

  • haha! ^_^

    She's beautiful.

  • HAHAHA~!

  • thats awesome how you can keep it on a leesh

  • how gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • On a clickety-clack cruise, CUTE!!

  • You are so lucky to have a pet tamandua! I wish I could have one, but sadly I know I'd never get one into NZ.

  • How mutch money was she?

  • Oops didn't mean to remove that comment was trying to reply. They asked "what's the point". Well some people like anteaters and might not get a chance to see how they move. Besides by the other comments you can see it made some people happy and that should be point enough.

  • thats so true, I LOVE these animals my father is taking one in in a few days.

  • the clickety click just makes me happy

  • Wow, she is really booking along there! I love the little clickity-clickity-click her claws make.
