  • Russia is still uses these rusty trash-cans :)

  • Mig 15.... NATO codename: Fagot. xD

  • ммм даже учебный миг 15 достали

  • ilyennel kezdtem,szép volt!!!!

  • ugly aircraft

  • @PatoWiNNERS obviusly you know nothing about aircraft

  • @popmerde I love the mig15 as an air combat machine but I hate it as a plane (wtf is that design lol)

  • @PatoWiNNERS That design is the base of every modern jet fighter you see today. Don't call it ugly.. If you think she's ugly, your blind.

  • JEW IS MASTER

  • Thanks so much for posting, GREAT VIDEO!!!

  • In soviet Russia Mig fly you!

  • This's not MIG this is LIM 7 polish aircraft

  • highest ace in the korean war was a russian Yevgeny Pepelyayev yaaaa go mig-15... hell of a fighter for its time...

  • ьуфтцшду ьщые ща еру

  • HERMOSO AVION ES VIEJO YA PERO ES LINDO AUN DESPUES DE TANTOS AÑOS LOS RUSOS SI SABEN AVIONES POR CIERTO EL SABRE PARA MI ERA INFERIOR PERO ESTABA DOTADO DE UN RADAR QUE LE DABA VENTAJA CON EL TEMA DE TIRO DE CAÑONES.............

  • These MiGs are out of service.

but u cant say the didnt do there job when it was in service it was the best plane at that time.

  • American pilots claimed a ten to one kill rate in Korea against the mig 15. Russian pilots claimed a four to one kill rate in their favour.

How many of the American kills counted for Migs with Russian pilots flying them and not ill trained Koreans ?

Also can we trust the Russian claim ?(No disrespect meant).

  • @derbbus can you trust american claims?

  • @derbbus

highest ace in the korean war was a russian Yevgeny Pepelyayev

19 kills over the mig alley...

  • @derbbus you can trust the Russian claim as much or as little as you can trust the American claim. its all very ambiguous theres so many factors: are the ratios purely Air-to-air kills? are they purely MiG-15 to F-86 air to air kills? or are they all types of air-air kills? do they include friendly fire? etcetc theres so many factors also sometimes pilots may hit a single kill twice or thrice. so u tell me

  • This isn't Mig 15. This is Mig UTI. Yes it based on Mig 15, but different purpose.

  • @r380 duh

  • Do you have the original fuel gauges installed - is it true that they are only able to measure 50% of total capacity - also, do the underwing tanks feed first, and pump directly into the mains?

  • awsome airplane and video !

  • Too small: (

  • WOOW great to get commentary from a Pilot who flys one of these great machines. would love to go up in one!

  • Turns out the MIg 15 could outturn and outclimb early F-86s, but were easy enough to spinout and would not recover.

They could take tremendous punishment as F86 pilots would pour lead from 6 -50cals and

the plane would still fly with bits coming out of the tailpipe!

One hit from the Mig 37mm cannon would takeout an F86. Mig pilots usually were ill trained, only the soviet vets being dangerous.

THe Mig15s would only be a threat today if radars were jammed, otherwise, there would be a slaughter.

  • Ah, so we ALL have seen the same History Channel's Combat Aces episode!

  • LOL!,

No, do you mean Dogfights? ,that's what it is called in Norte America.

No I was writing an air combat story and bought all the books and watched ALL the videos and read most of the interviews with pilots..

Just wanted to honor vets of the Korean Conflict.(both sides) with accuracy.

(I had served in peacetime Korea in the USAF)

I even arranged for a flight in a tandem Mig 15 (to understand flight characteristics first hand) here in Calif. but ran out of money-too bad for me!

  • Amazing! Good luck with that! (uh yes, that is: "Dogfights", sorry)

  • MIG 15 destroyed most of the various types of U.S. aircraft at the time. F86 and M15 manned by experienced pilots, the victory took MIG15, while the Chinese pilots had no experience and they could not withstand the overload mig15. Also was an American attempt to bomb a military base on the USSR border city of Nanjing, which the U.S. lost 140 aircraft f86 Soviet Union lost only four.

  • @will4ward the Mig 15s where at the time the best in the world when Russian where flying them but with chinese n korean pilots it was a different ball game n they had the best jet engine at the time from RR

  • North korea still uses these.....lol

  • i bielve it...and why not? THey certainly can defend against anyone who attacks with prop planes, and they are cheaper to make than MiG 21's and nice to fly. I love the MiG 15 and the F86 Sabre.

  • Yea, there also really useless planes.

  • No their not. They can defend against all planes except the more modren jets...and frankly they can out dogfight those!

  • Seriously. Put it up against an f-16 or even a Falcon. It's a good OLD plane but virtually useless in combat today.

  • please!!! out dogfight what?

back in the day the15 WAS a hot airplane but now any current front line air superiority fighter from any country would mop up the floor with it in a dogfight. even if it was limited to strictly guns. modern fighters can turn just as tight AND have a much higher thrust to weight ratio than the mig 15 ever did. Look up Duke Cunningham's duel with a MIG17 (an improved 15) in vietnam - you'll see that if flown properly even the truck like F4 could outfly a MIG15.

  • Very nice and very good explanation! Thank you!

  • @BRIANROX1 I love silly americans. The fagot is a term for the bassoon, a woodwind instrument that this aircraft resembles...

  • No I'm seriously, many 3rd world countries include China still operate Mig-15 even today, I know its hard to believe it, but whoever doesnt belive it could search it on wikipedia...

  • no, you are an idiot, we do not operate MiG-15 any more thak you very much, put ur bullshit elsewhere please

  • are u brits? or chinese?

anyway, if u are a brits, my answer is: Yes, we dont operate Mig-15...

if u are chinese, i have to say it again: I know its hard 2 believe, or maybe difficult 2 accpet it emotionally, bt if u check the Wikipedia, u will see the fact.

I know Wikipedia is not accurate in all cases, bt it doesnt lie about this kind of thing.

  • oh right as trainers you mean? in that case we do.

  • lol you guys use mig15's lololol

  • For some fighting yes the Chinese do use the MIG-15, and for training, reason, they are a very good aircraft, and they aren't that bad, but they are fucking old

  • dude it's probably a demonstration or airshow plane it does not go into combat, what do you think China can't afford better aircraft

  • @EmperorTiger actually only north korea still use them as their main fighter plane XD EPIC FAIL

  • Believe it or not, Chinese air force and many 3rd world countries still use it even 2day...

  • no we do not, not even for areobatic display thank you very much

  • you're a fucking idiot

  • The Truth;- The lousy Brit Labour Government ,the Soviet Unions "FRIENDS" handed over 2 working units of the Rolls Royce Nene jet engines complete with Plans ,Tools and Jigs. This, before any British plane. even had the engine. It was a Soviet derivative of this engine that powered the MIG 15s which shot the allied aircraft down over North Korea. Of course the engines were a "freebie" RR gained nothing from the deal The Brit Government should have been shot,Soviet style.
  • With a Nudelman N-37mm and two Nudelman-Rikhter NR-23mm cannons of the MiG-15.

  • and to enhance your "truth" uk & canada gift f-86 and usa t-33 to yugoslavia and italy sell c-130 and ch-47 to libya.

  • US argues that it scored a higher kill ratio than their Soviet counterparts because the Sabre could out turn (but only slightly) the MiG-15 and had a more accurate gun. Well I think the MiGs did perform better because they could operate better at higher altitudes (where they would have fought most battles) and because they employed the sword and shield tactic, which would be an effective tactic even today.

  • ou yeah, americans did really kicked in ass by this plane.

  • It is a MiG-15UT

  • What´s the name of the dvd? Would like to see more of the MiG-15

  • the mig 15 was powered by a soviet copy of the rolls royce nene engine presented to them

by the uks lousy labour government (traitors)

we dont need any more enemies we have labour.

    good video though.

  • It was the UK's own fault. They challenged the Russian ambassadors to a game of pool, and they British won. Then they decided to gamble, if the British won they got the Russians technology and visa versa. The Russians won and the great MiG-15 was born.

  • aahh

  • It was RUSSIAN PILOTS that had a 2:1 kill ratio over lesser fighter like the f-84, f-80,F-51 and F-86's as well, BUT the kill ratio of the Sabre vs. the MiG-15 was more like 8:1.Most of the Soviet pilots were aces and vets from WWII, the majority of American pilots were new to flying and jets. Most USAF vets and aces left the military after WWII.

  • very good video, russians had mig-15 in porkkala airfield rented military area until they leaved the area (1944-)1956.

  • yes who needs the american sabre they copied the mig literly

  • true

  • I don't think so:) XF-86 first flew on October 1947 and MiG-15 on December 1947. They differ in many ways so you cannot claim that any of them was a direct copy of the other. Americans and Soviets could benefit from German experiences in jet fighter design, that is why you see any similarities between that two fighters.

  • This rocks! It's like being in the cockpit! Thx

  • Great stuff!

  • very cool, but 350knots for flaps? jesus, you can't even go that fast under 10,000... I wonder at what speed you raise the flaps for that

  • This is VERY interesting. I've always been fasinated by this airplane

  • you can go on a joyflight in one of these in Bathurst NSW. Its $1500 a go though. There are two jets for dogfights. One could be an f86 although Im not sure.

  • Great vid, thanks for posting

  • The Mig-15 is my absolute favourite plane. Thanks for the vid!

  • Grate video man!!!!!
