lets say i catch AQ and someone already limped in. i raise 3 times the blinds and he called. flops comes J-7-2... even tho i dont have anything the chances of my opponent having an overpair is almost 0 since he limped in so i would just shove it allin pretending im actually holding an overpair
yeah but lets say u have a 1500 stack and the blinds are 50$/100$, ur only play there would be to shove on the flop because u cant possibly call a bet that would be completely idiotic
I wouldnt waste all the chips on nothing in that situation considering you lack anything id bet a fair to large portion of the pot as it seems more innocent/baiting so youd induce the fold

lmfao i just realized that haha well i guess you know your a poker fanatic when you look a gus rather then notice a nice pair of legs in the background
I wouldn't say it's for total beginners at all; these lessons are as the title says, 'Advanced' NLHE tournament strategies. In the first few parts Gus is explaining the absolute basics of position and starting hands but this is important as some people think Gus is a madman, he's very careful to emphasize just how important position & starting hand requirements are to the wonder-brains who think such stuff doesn't matter and Gus can just steal any pot he wants with a maniacal bluff.
"Now that i have given you all the tools you need to win, what you need to do in this situation?" What a classic line from Gus... there is one thing you have not given me yet, your donky suck out power!!!

Well... With those stacks, I guess it's an acceptable shove.

What should you do if you are the small blind everyone fold's to you and you and the BB are left.
You put in a raise and get called by the BB. Now you're first to act. Would you check or raise if say, you miss the flop?
