Megadeths music (in my opinion) is alot more intricate than most hardcore, I would say Slayer has much much more in common with that then Megadeth. I will however check out the bands u mention. Music is my life & am open to listening to anything if it sounds good as long as it isnt rap or country

discharge, gbh, the toy dolls and the exploited were doing solos as well, forgot to throw them in their.
I like it when bands crossover as it brings more people so I liked billy idols sound + guitarist steve stevens. he did rock n roll but also threw in cool scales + solos. that's pretty much my favorite style.

i was always far more interested in people who had deep voices like billy idol or people who had both high + low pitch range like axl rose, ian astbury, etc. etc.

you also might be surprised to learn that surf rock bands of the 50s and 60s were doing solos before anyone else and that's also where all modern fast music came from.
look up Dick Dale, the ventures as well as the surfaris(this band was doing cool
solos before anyone.)
well before black sabbath, pete townshend, etc. etc

both punk and metal have their fans. I'm basically just explaining how it is out here in L.A. now, compared to how it was back then. I'm also saying that the hard rock + party rock stuff was infinitly more popular than the metal stuff + it grabbed a larger audience of people, especially girls.
That's what made it interesting because an actual scene formed.
I also think that once poison toned down their initial glam look because they wanted to get noticed + fuck chicks, they were good rockers.

I'm not supporting most of the bands in this video btw, nor do I listen to them. I support the ones I listed because that was the real scene and bands that were taken more seriously.

i dnt give a shit bout slash anyway...so wat if thrash gets those ideas from punk? so wat? it made the music more interesting and look at how many ppl love that kind of stuff now, if it wasnt for thrash lets face it, later generations wudnt even know the la scene and ny scenes of hardcore existed back in the early days coz now all these new hardcore bands sound like crap and completely different from guys like gbh and discharge and yes ive lsnd to tsol and slayer already u dnt need to tell me
