Drama queen with a harsh sound, and intonation issues. His "humility" seems very contrived to me, along with everything else about him. Some great artists are self absorbed, however, being self absorbed is not what makes one a great artist. he is just technic, art is so much more than technic, you put this guy out there to play Mozart and it'll be all enourmously messed up.
P.s.: imitating odd queer bitchies like M or LG (from who I've never heard a single note, by the ways) doesn't makes him a clever performer. I'd like to know if this guy even knows what Art Naïv is...probably he only knows playing, nothing about history of music and a lot from LV...so sad.

@CarlitosDessay He went to Julliard for a bit, and he shares in THIS vid how he used to compose as a child and has studied with his teacher for 10 yrs. I can't imagine that in the course of his life, he never learned to read music or play Mozart...simply because he wears a mask and has different hair? Which form of Art Naiv are you referring to? That BEFORE the 20th century where artists received little training, or NOW where people go to school to study the Art Naiv? Arrogance is ugly.

What instrument does he play? As in the maker? Any ideas? I think he needs to eat a little better and get out in the sun a bit or else he may make himself ill. Hopefully he will float a little closer to earth and grab a few more burgers and fries. It's a joke. He is interestingly odd. i know he is a great player! Using a clever tactic to attract attention to himself.

Obviously, this guy is a great amazing performer, much better than what I will ever be, but one thing is clear: he is provig to know very few about music if he dares comparing bach to madonna, i pitty him.

Feeble minded...
He said he doesn't experience a difference when he hears either or. MEANING, to him music is the same and he does not diregard one for the other. A true musician respects what has been placed around him. He can choose whether or not to borrow from what's been placed in front of him or follow his own path. His musical nirvana is not swayed by a certain genre, rather, he is swayed by ALL types of music.
He's thinking on a level above yours pretty much.

@withered962 also say next: about what a good musician knows (what you mentioned in your inappropriate answer) a good musician also knows what music is (notice that I didn't say "good" whatever music?) there's just music and the rest is just nothing to do with it. In a conservatory you find many opinions, but only some like mine are taken serious, that's why I am who I am and do what I do. My point: a good musician mainly knows that Bach can't be compared in any way to shit. Do not waste time.

To say that you cannot find the same beauty you find in Bach's music is kind of silly. I can compare a great stillness and calm passion with Satie and The American Dollar. Two totally different composers/arists of a different genre, country and decade.

Drama queen with a harsh sound, and intonation issues. His "humility" seems very contrived to me, along with everything else about him. Some great artists are self absorbed, however, being self absorbed is not what makes one a great artist. Sad, he could probably be amazing if he would concentrate on the music, and not his wardrobe and his drama! No breath of fresh air, rather a distraction from the great music he plays. No thanks.

@sphinxicity He actually seems very humble to me. He has a genuine depth and artistry to his playing that is given new dimension in the way he dresses and preforms. I say Bravo to him- it's about time that for a renaissance in classical music that will inspire a new generation.

@chiztrix Definantly not, Chiztrix.. Lady Gaga dresses up in random clothing and just does stage performances.
Hahn-Bin, on the other hand, is a lovely mix of mysterious masquerade and classical music that can only be portrayed by the nimblest of fingers. He is an amazing artist and violinist. His hard work throughout his life is definitely apparent, but it's also coupled with his natural ability to bust those bow hairs in the most beautiful way possible. :P
