it's really good. but where does it say that all the notes have to be staccato? it creates major gaps in the piece. my orchestra's spent weeks correcting the short notes, because they can be detached without being cut off. it's great but practice on filling the spaces to make a more coherent piece:) good job:)
This song gives me nightmares. So last year. I was first chair for the seconds. and my teacher wanted me to play first violin for a short assembly for jr high kids and elementary kids. So I had a week to practice the first's part when at the time I wasn't very good with shifting.. so I totally blew it at that concert and yeah..:/ well this is overall very good. perfect synchronization.
When I die I want they should play this recording at my funeral. My band has tried a lot of different kinds of music (see my youtube page) but we haven't tried any Bach yet. I'll have to talk to the boys.
Fantastic as ever. Although, Where's the harpsichord to join the cellos for the basso continuo. Im sure Bach origianlly wrote a harpsichord section. Excellent though!!
Thank you very much! The recording quality unfortunately doesn't do the harpsichord justice but of course we have a basso continuo group - you can see the double base to the far right and next to him the black haired harpsichord player with a non authentic blue harpsichord.
omg that was so great. flawless I would say I mean there's the other like WOW performance but they're super good but this is the best realistic performance ;)!
Beautiful. ( see how people like this?) The Tempo quickly settled into something comprehsnsible without being heavy. (I still want to hear a group take it even slower while smiling and then lightening it more by even shorter eighths) Beautuful rallentando before the recapitulation! Aw, just tugs at the heart! :)
simply excellent!

sticatto means short and i forgot what spicatto means
cjsluoo 2 years ago
spicatto means that you basically bounce the bow
21penguin13 2 years ago
@cjsluoo
spicatto is when you're playing violin while chewing tobacco.
OceanderTethyseus 1 year ago
technically the introduction is an allegro molto moderato followed by an allegro moderato and then the allegro itself
ginecologist 2 years ago
Ginecologist,
what kind of pompous bullshit are you talking about? the first movement is an allegro and thats how Bach wrote it, so do not be a show off.
buscapleitosNo1 2 years ago 4
TECHNICALLY, Bach didn't even give any tempo indications for this movement. Allegro or Allegro moderato or whatever is a modern addition by editors.

Very nice indeed, my friend. Thanks for posting. One small correction though: the first movement is an Allegro moderato
The second one is the allegro.

the leader of this piece looks like a fish out of water-literally.

Great interpretation...the only way i can describe it is as if one had burst into a great grandiose Baroque chamber where everyone was dancing.
The tempo is just right. Slightly faster than what is anticipated, but nothing rushed!
