Why is it that I feel like half of the people commenting and viewing aren't understanding the video? I think it's pretty straightforward. It's a story and is fairly tied to the concept behind the song.

I'm not sayin you shouldnt have won.. I watched all the videos before I made a comment, and quality wise its def. the best. I'm just stating my opinion on whether I think its funny or not. I've seen the song performed live 20 plus times and I just felt that it doesnt really give off the feel and humor lynch brings to the song. Nothing against the work you put into the video.

We are only bashing the people who bashed us first. I hate commenting on others cause I feel who am I to talk, right? But if someone else comes in and makes a comment, I feel better about leaving them my true opinion of their video as well. We shot the movie with one camera and edited it on iMovie, it's really not as advanced as you seem to think it is. Just cause we did it in school doesnt make us any different. Just 10 friends trying to make a video.

Also the college camera was not used for filming, the codirector bought a JVC mini dv cam from walmart recentlly and thats what was used to film. and the college is a community college, so we are not on campus all the time as there is no on campus housing. and our motive was the same, have fun and try to win

well, i don't like basing people either. I fell the same way. But I was bashed by drh32nj long before I commented on your video. I was glad to see that some of the people watching my video decided to stand up for me though. But, I never would have posted that comment if drh32nj hadn't bashed my vid first. However I am glad that at least one of the people who worked on this one doesn't feel the need to o around and bash others.

The point of our video is to show a story based on Stephen Lynch's song rather than do like EVERY other entry and follow it scene for scene with the lyrics. The song is about someone giving out bad candy and beer to kids while keeping others in the basement. Our video shows what happens after such a person, in this case a sweet lil old lady, gets caught. It's not a serious SWAT investigation, its funny.

Both you and rockshowgirl have no idea what you are talking about. This is an original video and not one that has some loser lip syncing or uses Mr.Potato Head action figures. It doesn't follow the song word for word unlike EVERY OTHER VIDEO POSTED. It's called ORIGINALITY, look it up sometime.

Music videos are minature movies, what was that one song, ended up incredibly long for the music video, i believe it was "thriller" by michael jackson, anyone can sit infront of a camera and lip the words someone already sung :cough: mili vanilli :cough: but when you take the time to be creative and original you get the best result, which from what ive seen of the videos on here this is it.

Just because it is a music video does not mean it doesn't have to be like a short film. Look at thriller. Hell, look at most music videos nowadays, do they follow the lyrics word for word? NO. Most of the time, music videos don't even have much to do with the lyrics. The videos that show scenes to match the lyrics word for word are lame and too much like the other videos posted. Be different for once dude
