One of the most under-rated bands of all time, how can such great songs like this,Rock and Roll Cowboy, Dream Never Dies, and Show Some Emotion, not get the credit they definitely deserve, these songs in my opinion were as good ,if not better than some of the U.S material. Anyhow you have a huge fanbase down here in Prince edward Island.
These guys were definitely underrated, very few songs affect me the very first listen, but this one did, love the beat and vocals are amazing, i think back in the 70's canada had the better bands in North America, but that only my opinion!
i brought 3 copies of this on vinyl so that i would always have it. Pitfalls of the ballroom is the title, an awesome album from a wicked band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In 1979, "I know When I See Her" from Ottawa's The Cooper Brothers was a delight to the ears. It's sad that a lot of Canadian bands with so much talent just can't make it in the US. This song should've been their big break in the US.
Gumpdog, I'm right with you. I came across this song on the "Songs of '79 that shouda been" video, truly a song I haven't heard since then. Liked it so much I hopped right on ebay found the LP on a buy it now and presto! Now I gotta dig out my turntable.
They used to play this on CKLW out of Windsor in the early 80's..When they switched to all talk CFCO out of Chatham played it once in a while. They recently went country so this is the only place that I can hear it, unless I put on the record. It is not on any CD or online music store. I love the Cooper Brothers!
OMG! This is the soundtrack to my life! I feel a spiritual experience everytime i hear this song! This song means so much to me for very personal reasons. Thank you for posting this! I Love You!
