@RedneckYachtClubber That is a an often-asked question. It's an "assistant language teacher" in the Japan Exchange Teaching program (which I belonged to from '99-'02 in Osaka City). The lyrics are a kind of "a day in the life of an ALT," and you kinda have to be there to get it. I hope that helps.
@wondercast You are very correct, as cheap and unfunny as it seems to me now, that's what I was after when I wrote those lyrics more than ten years ago!
Well is nice you got hired quickly after getting a College degree!. That's cool man, but I know some people in Japan, who know English pretty well, are awesome ALTs, have a college education, but no degree and still they got hired!. And no man! they are not illegal in Japan! They are 100% legal why?? because they are part Japanese that's why. And about the OnegaishimASS, ummm.... is your JET called Shim or something?. Anyway nice try dude.
ALT = Assistant Language Teacher and JTE = Japanese Teacher of English (both JET Program terminology), and douzo yoroshiku onegaishimASS! (which is incorrect pronunciation, of course).
WTF is an ALT?

It's still available in .mp3 as well as .m4a or .mov format over at News From The Other Side.
Also, there is a MySpace channel that features different versions of this song.
I'll send the links to ya in a message in just a bit.

very nice.
definitely not enough gaijin semi-bilingual english-teaching rappers in japan these days. although i hear it might become a new grammy category.
next, we might have to open up the enka-gospel fusion market. who's with me?!?

@hillsonn I'm sure he needed to say it that way to rhyme MASS with ASS.
