My 357xp is also not running properly. Did you ever get it perfected and could you describe some of the mods you had to do to get it working properly.
poulan is sheise lol hahahahha, and Zama is not Shit your right about the Tun Options on the Carb but the Twin Carb Valve on the Model 570 is not shit , it took me some time to Adjust it thow but it run fast
hört sich bedenklich an wenn sich die kette bewegt!! Das Schwert ist schon ziemlich ausgelutscht. Ich würde anstatt solch sinnloser Tuning-Versuche eher die Kette schärfen und die Ölpumpe einstellen!
showstopper-whats a person do nowadays? Run the Husky 51, 55, 345, 371, Stihl GERMAN! 034 and 028 supers with the Walbro carb. Now its all zama and no old models! Only one stud on the bars on the new Husky lineup, no comp release, cheap lookin piece shit they competing with with wild thing or what? My living is a saw build log homes!! Need to get another ranch job or what?
Running a small engine repaire shop this is really not that uncommon. Most of the saws in the Husqvarna AND Stihl lines use the same carbs on mannnny different saws. This probablt was a Tillitson, but the new Zama carbs are pure trash. The only difference in most of them is the factory tuning. They even use the same bodys on many other saws with just a change of the throttle/choke setups. Its not uncommon to swap "bigger saw" carbs onto smaller saws.
60:1 will run richer then 40:1 because there is more fuel per unit of measurement. If you are worried about smoke switch to an ashless oil. Properly jetted 40:1 will make more power then 60:1 due to reduced friction and a slower burn. I hope you like rebuilds at 60:1.
The video was of the first trial. The swap was an experiment to combat the poor running of the original carb which was driving me nuts so I tried a radical approach.
could anyone tell me what is the difference bettwen 2 stokre carb and 4 stroke carb

die 357er ist ne einzige fehlproduktion,
jeder der bei uns so eine Säge gekauft hat hat es nach spätestens einem jahr bereut. einschlißlich mir.

what is your opinion on poulan saws?
sideshow45 3 years ago
zu viel öl dazugemischt auserdem läuft die nicht richtig

Looks like way too much oil in the fuel.....50:1 will not be anywhere near as smokey, and if you run a little rich, 60:1 will be even better.
lkoury 3 years ago
most saws are made to run 40:1. i run that it doesn't smoke barely at all

What ever became of the 262 carb on the 357 idea? Did it work or bust? Was it a straight bolt up and tune?
