At E3 it was announced the game was expected during winter (4th quarter), no one was ever expecting it any sooner. E3 was the first look at Tomb Raider 3, and it took around 18 months to do a Tomb Raider game, TR2 was the only Core Design game done in less time, they were not planning TR3 as soon as they finished the first game. Core Design did well to get the games released with only 12 months between them.

The game was very close to release late June. They already had all the levels, enviroments but they continued development to make it 'better'.

Thanks for the video Gh0stBlade. Do you know what magazine the disc came with? I doubt the demo would have used the music for TR3, the music is not done till very late in development.

@ozgal500 Not really, Tomb Raider 3 was close to completion at the end of June. Something slowed development around July. It's where they deleted paths, features etc possibly because the Playstation couldn't handle them.

@feareffect1996 It's part of the video, there were others but I removed them. One was the same as the TR2 Great wall, another was TR unfinished business title lara. Maybe this is part of an early alpha FMV. Of course, it does look defo like the TR3 Lara ;] I also think that the sound track could have been the music for the South Pacific since all the other games appear to have their original music, sounds etc.
