@AlexisTheKingNL the aircraft's configuration was slightly nose up on final with flaps and gear down, hardly a flare. Anyway I was trying to set up the bad landing on purpose so the approach is unimportant.

OOOhh.. U flared tooo early.. i suggest u increase ur approach speed and get the nose a bit down.. And the touchdown was a mayhem.. that was due to the slow speed.. But nice job hope u get better in flying.. :D

@techdeckfan78 I assigned the autobrakes to keys in settings, controls, buttons/keys. Events were Autobrake Increase and Autobrake Decrease and just increased the autobrake on short final

How is gameplay on the 8500 GT. I really want to get Flight SIm X Deluxe but all of the reviews say you need at least an 8800 GT card to run it otherwise itll look like the old flight sim. You thoughts?.....What res are you playing at and is it playable at that settings. Please tell me.

Given the rest of my setup, gameplay is adequetely real, given that I also fly for real. My current res settings are 1152x720, aircraft to ultra-high but ground and scenery detail fairly low to keep the FPS up. The 8500GT card "lowers" my Vista score from 5.9 to 4.6 (the game recommends 5.0) but also bear in mind that FSX relies mostly on raw CPU power and RAM. I have all 64-bit 2x 4200 CPU, 4GB DDR2-800 RAM in 2x2GB matched pairs. Having said that, always get the best video card you can afford.

Well vista rates my 8500 gt a 5.0 for gaming. I've a core 2 duo at 2 ghz and 3 gb DDR2 ram...I think it should work fine at the setings u have

You should be fine then :) My Vista gaming graphics score is 5.2, performance for aero is 4.6. I have mine set up so feeling is realistic. For comparison I flew a real Diamond DA-40 into Cranfield airport, then flew the same flight on the closest thing to it in FSX (a Mooney Bravo with G1000 glass cockpit) and it was pretty damn close. Remember, FPS is key to realism. Turn down cosmetic effects until FPS is 20 or more for best results.

Oh? I have the aircraft visuals on ultra-high but lower ground detail to keep the flying experience as realistic as possible. It was higher quality when I recorded it, I think YT "downgrades" somewhat. I also noticed a strange shadow from the ground scenery as I touched down.

nose pitched up too hgih at the begging, looked high and decended too quickly on finals, full flaps werent set, didnt land on the blocks, and too low over the beach, i know i sound like a critic but this werent the best of approaches and landings, just telling you the bad things:D

Hi, cheers for your comments. I landed bad on purpose, I was trying to emulate the KLM 747 landing video (check my favourites), although I could have done a better approach and given my landing weight I should have used full flaps.

Thanks for the compliment! No, I landed manually. Used autobrakes and armed autospoilers before touchdown. Had AP engaged until about 10 miles out, just trimmed the aircraft to fly straight and level after that and scrubbed off altitude, controlling speed with little pitch trim adjustments when on final. Landed very fast due to a full fuel load. I did it on purpose because I wanted to see how fast and low I could go. Thanks for watching.
