@dwcd1 Unfortunately it runs so much deeper than that. Companies, *some* companies, are so dastardly in their pursuit of profit they simply don't care.

Perfect example- Spotify. It was free and unlimited, then it became 'free'. The difference? 'Free' gives you 10 hours of music per month and every song you listen to more than 4 times is immediately blocked until you pay for premium. Now this is really only to stream music so it's pointless, in my opinion anyway.
