  • @SkPuzzle granted he is in the first book/season but even ignoring the... u kno... wat happens... the entire thing focuses on such a multitude of characters that its kinda silly to say that he's the centre of the even just that first season. u cuold just as easily argue that tyrion or jon or bran were the focus.

  • ned stark is the centre of the series? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... and so on...

  • @MrAcosi yes it is , he is one of the main protagonists in the first book and first seasson ... you see , that what happens to him is nearly in the end ... so yes he is in the centre of the searies OF THE FIRST SEASSON !

  • The best series in this planet.

  • I think after the second season of Game of Thrones, it is time for The Witcher saga series. What do You think?

  • I love this show but when I was watching this show, I had a suddenly feeling that I knew the place of Kingslanding... I was like :* w8, I know this place, w8 I was there , w8 It's the M dina of Malta... XD*

  • any good chinese cinema/stories?

  • After Sons of Anarchy, this is the best show ever!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i would consider myself a very picky watcher, and i think this show is brilliant, this and breaking bad are my top 2 ongoing shows, this may come off a little confusing at times but just bare with it, everything will fall into place as you continue watching

  • in book, Cersei Lannister is not so smart. She is naive bitt and sometimes her deads are really stupid.

  • this is awesome !!!! such a well-made tv series. i'm really happy to know this series. it's my favorite so far.

  • i hated the character cersei but the actress made her too beautiful to hate.... :/

  • Anyone else started to read A Clash of Kings before season 2?

  • @WorldOfR3n0 yea the show got me into the books now i'm half way through the third.. it gets crazy

  • @WorldOfR3n0 I started reading it

  • @AJeremy2508 did you buy the book or are your reading it online? can you tell me i want to read it to

  • Comment removed

  • @AJeremy2508 i just bought game of thrones and started reading it, its amazing fun book

  • @WorldOfR3n0 not yet but i bought the book is it amazing??? no spoilerz plz

  • @WorldOfR3n0 why read it when you can watch it ;)

  • Stannis is coming.

  • By far the best fantasy series I have ever read. So glad they aren't screwing up the book storyline like HBO did with Trueblood

  • They say don't judge a book by it cover. I picked up A game of thrones cuz the cover looked awesome! It then turns out to be this awesome unpredictable story. if a book has an awesome dragon on it's cover, it's a great book!

  • respect gemma jackson.

  • Stark can't die .. he died in lotr already :P

  • 3:15

    TROLOLOLO

  • @GentryJ20 oops, 3:14

  • Awesome! I absolutely love the series and I am definitely planning to read the books.^^ And the best part is that the season 2 is going to be filmed in my country! =)

  • Like this if George Martin is a genius...

  • Can we get a behind the scenes on the episode 7 sex scene

  • I started the books. After playing Dragon Age, it only seemed right. I haven't seen the show yet.

  • Tyrion's best...

I cant wait for another season

  • would it be recommended to watch this show even though i have never read the book? Or should i read the book first to understand whats going on in the show?

  • @donaldpro you should read the books first.. mainly because of the time consuming aspect of it.. if you watch the show you'll just be annoyed at how long the reading is taking just to get to the plot points that you already know are coming...

  • @donaldpro I'm having the same dilemma.

  • Jon snow looks like orlando bloom!

  • poop donkey

  • "They have a number of children"

*Camera glances to all of their children expect for Rickon*

Poor Rickon, he's like Maggie from the Simpsons.

Homer: "Bart, Lisa, and the other one." Ha!

  • extended dvd with 2 extra hours of each episode

  • The best thing about this story is that it is completely and utterly unpredictable. Each and every character can get wounded, killed, betrayed, redeem themselves; you never know what kind of twist is coming next.

  • @TrunksTrevelyan Actually sad news: My friend, after reading the 3rd book, figured out the routine and correctly predicted every death and betrayal. If you don't want to spoil it for yourself just go with everything they sell you :D

  • @TrunksTrevelyan it's like life

  • @TrunksTrevelyan to the point where it becomes too much.... if you've read A Storm of Swords you know what i mean...

  • @TrunksTrevelyan what makes any story great is unpredictability, if an audience cant tell where the story will head next, they will keep coming back for more to find out what happens next... good post

  • @TheGiantKiller8; I agree, but I've seen/read intriguing stories that weren't as unpredictable as Game Of Thrones by a longshot. Killing Khal Drogo, for instance, was what really took me by surprise (and of course the killing of Boromir). I have great respect for the writer taking such big risks.

  • @olafvisser ya book is amazing half way through the first book, when key charachters can die its always more interesting i agree, but man i really liked what sean bean-boromir brought to the series and the way he died... wow i was stunned...

  • books and tv series.. damn i'm addicted!

  • boromir !

  • sean bean..why u so hot..

  • Winter is coming...................bitches.

  • The books are great and so is the show I only hope that season two is just as good as one if stays true to the books it will be wonderful

  • Bean playing Eddard with vulnerability, fear. compassion, strength LOVE HIM. Dinklage is a pure joy to watch, in fact every one of these actors right down have done a fantastic job of these rich deep characters. I look forward to seeing quite a few emmy's handed out for game of thrones. Well done!

  • Cant wait to see danny and her three dragons rule over everyone.

  • I never really did picture Tyrion as ugly. I'm probably the only one though.

  • WINTER IS COMIN'!

  • After Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow is the rightful heir to the iron throne. This is not a spoiler, its not in the books yet, but you look the story, in the mad king days, its clear.

  • There's Chris from Skins! :D

  • I hope that this show really makes it. I love it soooo much!!! <3

  • If you haven't read the books yet, don't bother. Martin's writing has taken a nosedive; he doesn't have anything for his characters to do anymore.

  • WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT FEAR?

  • that guy sounds like dumbledore...

  • Damn Snow is fine... I love this already.

  • My friend reccomended this to me for about a month, did not wan't to watch at all because usually his reccomendations come with long talks about it afterwards, and typically I'm not as interested.

After the first episode, I "obtained" the entire series, and watched it, in one afternoon.

    Hooked as hell, can't wait.

  • Aside all the other things I adore about this show, I really love the way George Martin has added multiple cultural elements in the show. Not everything is associated with Medieval Europe, but you can see inspiration from Asian and African cultures as well. This is truly one special fantasy story.

  • Sean Bean is fit to star in fantasy roles. He has the look about him ya know.

  • @LilWayneMetalGod Iliterate idiot. You have never read a real fantasy book in your life. All the Harry potter/Twilight shit isn't real fantasy. Its pop culture. go read Tolkien, Steven Erikson and George RR martin if you want REAL fantasy.

  • Eine deutsche Übersetzung wär sehr wünschenswert :-)

  • "I dont think anybody will do it quite the way HBO does.." true! HBO is supreeme =D I love them and their series!

  • You end up eating up this series so quickly it's hard to savor it. Actually, fuck it, I'm watching it again.

  • @LilWayneMetalGod Dumb troll is dumb!

  • @LilWayneMetalGod WOW you're a 100% R-E-T-A-R-D. Twilight was published in 2005 and is for dumbass emo kids like yourself. Game of Thrones was published in 1996 - nearly a decade earlier. You have been served -- imbecile.

  • I want to take the red pill...

  • haha, 'right when you think you've got it all figured out, the story completely changes'

    ..sooo true

  • @LilWayneMetalGod funny..this book was published in 1996, waaaaaay before the twilight saga was written.do some research first before insulting a outstandingly written story.

  • Jaime is my Severus Snape in GoT! All the characters are amazing and have a depth to them and that is my favourite thing..

  • I wish they pooled less of their time with conversing and sex, and focused more on war and fighting scenes. Would have made this series a whole lot more entertaining.

  • @YouHaxerr You couldnt be more wrong, if you want a blockbuster series, that's one thing, But it's the characters, their motivations, their actions, and the reprecussions of those actions that make Game of Thrones such a badass show, It's the best thing on television since BSG

  • @anlonning Don't get me wrong, I love the series but HBO do spend a lot of their time with politics, which in my opinion I think is a cover up for less time with fight scenes.

  • @YouHaxerr Spoken like an immature fool. While I do agree they should have shown a battle or two, what you seek would be taking out the depth from the series and render it a mindless gore fest. Go watch Spartacus.

  • This show gives me hope for two more upcoming HBO shows adapted from books: "American Gods" and "Good Omens".

  • This show is awesome! I cant wait for season 2, but we have long ways to go...

  • thumbs up is you touch the screen at 10:05

  • @acebit23

This is from his wiki page: Sean Bean has performed as a character who dies in nearly 85% of the films in cinema history. According to a recent study the combined deaths of all of Sean Bean's characters amounts to more than the collective deaths of the Civil War. I remember when i first saw him die was in 1992 in Patriot Games starring Harrison Ford who also is responsible for killing him

  • @WARP10CK he also died in Lord of the Rings.

  • sean bean = badass. real life or not

  • jon snow <3 !!

  • Lovelovelovelovelovelove. omg. This is great, I needed somehting new to be addicted to. :p

  • you know, when i first saw the 12 minutes behind the scenes, I still didn't really understood what the whole thing was about. Then I saw some scenes from the tournament and I thought the the game of thrones was an actual game, where each House must participate with some "players", and the lord of the winning house gets to be king on the Iron Throne

  • Tyrion Lannister, Brilliant acting

  • Poor Sean Bean. I'm behind the episodes in reading the books, so the last episode caught me off guard and almost made me sick to my stomach. I'm so pissed. I want to ring that little Joffery's neck. I have to read it just to see how he's brought to justice. I have this feeling that little Arya is going to rise up and slay him. That would be great.

  • Peter Dinklage's portrayal of Tyrion Lannister is clearly one of the biggest draws of the show. I hope his work is recognized when Emmy nominations roll around.

  • @diedahero I hope he isn't shortsighted. They're are many critics who think little of him in comparison to the others

  • @bcbird puns intended?

  • @Postscriptumxx of course

  • TYRION LANNISTER FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey its the dwarf from death a funeral!

  • I'll never understand why people need to spoil things for other people. The "Because they can" reason, it's stupid, so they must be something else.

  • @frosttbitten And I'll never understand why people want to avoid spoilers like the plague. I usually find that hearing about something and seeing it are very, very different.

  • After the first episode i bought all the books, just cant out them down

  • cheezey ma neezey dis is great

  • Boramir ftw!

  • hooked tooo ...reading the books ..... now

  • hooked tooo ...reading the books .....

  • George R.R Martin is a genius!

  • George R.R Martin is genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like the character of Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) he's very natural in his character.

  • srsly people. don't post spoilers in the comment section on youtube, please

  • winters coming for 14 people...

  • THE MIGIGET FROM IN BRUGE!!!!

  • John Snow Get In My Bed You Sexy Virgin!!! ;)

  • Winter is Coming

  • Incredible production value, the realism is astonishing; from the grit on a person's face and clothes, the wind-blown leaves on the steps of the throne room, the marred chain mail with missing links, to the lack of silicon breasts. I was doubtful for the first two minutes of episode one, because I'm a skeptic when it comes to film, but I was quickly proven wrong, mesmerized and captivated. This series blows away the majority of movies put into theaters today. Long may it live.

  • i'm hooked

  • there's love and betrayal, greed and murder.. and witty midgets :D, this show would be too serious without the midget :P

  • This show kicks ass, but youtube sucks

  • Looks like it was made based on the "song of ice and fire" books..

  • @darkwandererrr Er, it is! :P

  • Still find myself waiting for Bean to say something like "Westeros has no king... Westeros needs no king!"

  • @Steedrider This... this is Robert's heir? What chance do you think you have? They will find you... and Joffrey will beg for DEATH before the end! If you would but LEND me the Iron Throne...why do you recoil, I am no thief.

  • @ijwi c'mon mate - lend me the bloomin' throne! xD

  • this show is the best show since rome. amazing.

  • i love very fev things in life this is the best ever

got to love every thing OH MY

kill mee and get me there

  • i LOVE sean bean!!

  • i <3 this show! great actors/characters & storyline. never having read the books myself, i am eagerly intrigued with each episode. i always want to know what happens next! having read previous comments posted from familiar book readers about how its "spot on" or "true to the book" keeps me an active television show watcher. can't wait for the next episode!

  • i <3 this show! great stories & great actors/characters. never having read the books myself, i am intrigued in every episode and always want to know what happens next. i also like how at the end of every episode it shows a quick preview of the future episode. always keeps me wanting more! (especially with the familar book readers' approvals/comments i will be an active show watcher).

  • I love this series

  • Such an amazing series. Not a fan, no, not by a longshot. I haven't even read the books! but I'm definitely going to get my hands on them. Such great stuff :D

  • Absolutely love this show, thank God I have Sky Atlantic so I can watch every Monday.

  • Man, I wish I had HBO. I have to wait a year until they come out on DVD! Oh well, it'll give me a chance to read all of the books.

  • @corycousins

why waiting a year?! you can sownload it free on the internet...try to search for all the epidoses in Filestube. com

  • Can't wait for Skyrim to come out ? watch this show for now lol !

  • i really like this

  • I loved this show right from the first time I heard the title theme... The characters, the incredibly well chose actors who are true to the book, the dialogue, everything. It's bloody, sexy and has a very deep storyline. Thanks so much HBO :-)

  • this series is so incredible awesome. love it. every character is just right, besides Sansa, i think she is a bit to mature. But Arya is great, and Tyrion and Eddard and Gregor Clegane and and and and blabla :)

  • Great lil show they went all out for this, I fucking love it! I wanna know whats scary ass shit is running around on the other side of that ice wall. Gad Dam scared G!!! lolol :)

  • jon snow blows, lanisters are keeping this show together

  • Jon Snow <3

  • I can honestly say... I don't think I have seen an adaptation from book to screen that has worked so well in both mediums and stayed true to the tale!

As a big fan of the books, THANK YOU! It is simply breath taking.

  • hope u get rich with the series and keep entertaining us.....GREAT SHOW! Winter Is Coming!

  • the hounds helmet looks awesome!

  • LOVING THIS SERIES!! Parody out on episode one too shits halarious

  • Emilia Clarke is angelic!

  • Why aren't all adaptations from books this good? This is brilliant.

  • shame boromir dies again

  • @randomjoe333333 thanks for the spoiler.

  • the midget guy needs to win an award, he is without doubt the best charactor in this show,

  • @dan11009 isn't it rude to say midget? do they prefer little person?

  • @jin455 i dont think they mind if its in the right context like "that midget should win an award"

  • @dan11009 And Sean Bean is great as Eddard aswell! God, I love this show and the books (I'm almost finished with the first one) every character is interesting.

  • @eddie4ever6197 yea but sean bean dies - sorry to tell you,

  • @dan11009 I've seen him in some other stuff (I believe a movie about trains, and the remake of Death at a Funeral). Excellent range, incredibly charismatic. If he hasn't got a shelf full of awards, then something's horribly wrong.

  • @Gigawolf1 He was in the original Death at a Funeral as well.

  • @dan11009 who cares about that if he looks like that... the midget is just fail... however boromir and khal drogo is dreadfull actors in this one

  • @MsVovven I dont understand what you mean
