  • You're cute, you're "zippy", you provide good info... (those are all good things),

BUT, do your homework on HomeDepot EKO...

Their "organic" label is something that might make sense for your lawn, but, unless you are "eating"/juicing your lawn, you need to do more homework.

    It's DOODY! Human, honkin' doody!

Yes, it's organic, yes, it's poop, yes, it's HUMAN POOP!

Yumm! Eat up, kids! Dukey for everyone!"

Again, search Google for "EKO organic compost"...

    Eat up!

  • Like your video. Just grew my first flat. Do you or does anyone have a suggestion for a good wheatgrass juicer. I have a Greenstar but it gives so much foam, it seems a waste. Also have a plastic juicer that jams and a Wheateena that I bought on eBay. Don't know how to adjust the Wheateena; can't find a manual or instructions for it. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

  • Woow love the video, especially the one with your daughter, tha was sweet. This video helped me grow my first trays of grass. I found this facebook page good reading. `Live fresh greens. wheatgrass juice, super greens & alkaline foods`

  • you're supposed to eat them?

  • These videos are awesome, I love how simple you make it. Seems even easier when you do it.

  • My wife and I are just starting to do this. So, one tray= 16-20 ounces? And you overlap so you use 1 tray per day? So if I want wheatgrass every day I need 7 trays? I guess I need to get down to Home Depot.

  • hi

  • cool stuff ive been looking into growing my own wheatgrass this was very helpful! thank you and much love

  • looks like you need quite a lot of room to grow this stuff with 6-9 trays on the go all at the same time eeeek ! I would expect using decent water, seed, compost etc it is also pretty costly ?

One thing I know for sure it sure makes you cute or were you just born like that?

    :D

  • Thanks for sharing all the information. Its people like you that make a difference

  • Where do you buy your seeds> ? besides online ?>

  • quick question how often do you have to water?

  • Your cute.

  • @NeoArawak

Sprout Without water. Rinse well 2x per day

  • ok , once i leave the seeds inn water for about 7 hours and rinse it out.. Do i put water again on the seeds? or do i leave the seeds without the water to sprout?

  • @NeoArawak

Leave them out of water to sprout, but make sure you rinse them 2X per day

  • I just learned about wheatgrass so I went to the store and bought a couple trays of it for juicing...turns out I don't have the right juicer, so i figured i would blend it up in a smoothie...turns out I don't have a blender..sooooo I figured WTH, I'll just cut it up into a spinach salad! Just got done eating it...

    ...Worst experience...EVER

On a side note, my head feels dizzy and nauseous, and I feel like digging a hole to China with my bare hands

  • WHERE DO U GET YOUR WHEAT SEEDS? AND HOW DO YOU KNOW IF THEY ARE SPROUT?

  • Hi, is there another name for the wheat seeds.......I live in the uk and no one seem to know about them

  • Do you happen to know if any scientific or hospital research has been found on wheatgrass?

    Thank you!

  • @UnoRaza The problem is that the medical community does not like things that are nearly free. why would they waste their time talking to someone about changing their diet and to get in the sunshine. same goes for WG, it won't be grown in a doctors office and prescribed for the simple fact that it's nearly free. you can read all the health benefits of it but they may not all be typical so just try it out!

  • @neworleansrocks Yes, I'm all too familiar with our sickness industry, but sometimes an enterprising college student falls through the cracks.

  • Bye Bye to you, you arrogant obnoxious twat. I'm going to make an example out of you!

  • Well i've been growing my own wheatgrass for a few weeks now and it's going better than expected. The trays are growing thick and healthy and quicker than all estimates.

The guy who is selling me the seeds just raised his price though, and I'm thinking about exploring ordering online somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions for a reputable dealer? Also, my supplier says the seeds are organic, but how can I know this for sure?

  • @jasonrepa

@paydes36 You really don't need azomite powder, and i've yet to hear of another wheatgrass grower using it. I think paydes36 is selling it which is why she's pushing it."

All I have to say is that I am not selling anything. I posted this video for good will only. I am not pushing azomite powder, I merely recommend it because it works, and I know many other growers that use it and recommend it also. If you keep leaving negative comments, I'll have to ban you.

  • @CafeJanae You just made it obvious that you're selling it or getting a commission for referring people to it.. It doesn't work and it's not needed, just as I said. There isn't a single lawn and garden center employee i've talked to who even has heard of it. There is only one place to buy it, and that is the manufacturers website. He/she/you are also trying to peddle it on Amazon.com.

Don't threaten me you little cunt. You'll end up floating in a river. I'll ban you from breathing.

  • @CafeJanae There was nothing "negative" about my post. You're a charlatan who is trying to sell crap that people don't need.

  • @jasonrepa

    bye bye

  • @jasonrepa

That sounds like it will work. Give it a try and let me know the results. Happy Juicing!

  • @CafeJanae Why don't YOU give it a try and let ME know the results, lol.

  • great video... quick question: after the 1st harvest do you let it regrow to re-harvest it a second time? or do you just throw away the soil?

  • do wheat berries expire? because i have a lot of it..

  • @Bunny5O1

The only way to know if they are still alive is to try sprouting them. If stored improperly, they will die. If they sprout they are fine.

  • after you harvest the grass, does it just keep growing or does it have to be turned and replenished??

  • Comment removed

  • @Bunny5O1

The name is Janae.... that's why I said "Hi, I'm Janae".

I forgive you for the snarky comment. I know you didn't mean to be rude.

  • Can you give me the name of the thing you sprinkled on the soil to fertilize it? Esomite? Epsomite? idk.

  • It's called azomite powder. you can google it for more info

  • @paydes36 You really don't need azomite powder, and i've yet to hear of another wheatgrass grower using it. I think paydes36 is selling it which is why she's pushing it. Just use good organic soil/compost and the wheatgrass will grow quickly and be very healthy. As for the mold problem, it's not a problem if you don't overwater. Worst case scenario if you get a bit of mold just cut above it or wash it off. I get no mold now that i've learned the correct watering amount from trial and error.

  • I hear that mold forms if this is grown indoors. By opening the window and letting some air circulate, will help. If there are a few fruit flies, they will eat the mold.

  • Hey J,

Love your video!!! One of the best out there. Your healthy living is apparent. Thanks for all the info, I have been utilizing wheat grass juice to recover from Lyme Disease. Lucky me I feel 10 years younger today than I did 5 years ago.

    Gary (YouTube name garyleeunruh)

  • The Gerson people (who use raw vegetables to heal from cancer) on the famous Gerson diet recommend NOT eating sprouts....Charlotte Gerson says in trials some cancer patients did not do well eating sprouts, because they are immature proteins, and then improved again when the sprouts were removed from their diet. More info from the Gerson website.

  • great info. Thanks for the tips of soil and fertilizer choice.

  • I grow wheatgrass, thanks to your great guidance but I have mold. What to do?

  • Where do you but the wheatgrass seed? I went to the wholefood store and they didnt have them only the grass it self. I looked at homedept and Target, no luck... I cant think of any where else.

  • @Tanyaa2313

Just buy wheat from the bulk bins your local health food store. Sometimes the wheat is not live, so buy a small amount and try sprouting it before you buy a lot. You can also look online for wheatgrass supply retailers in your area.

  • great video... I wonder how you produce your own seeds so you don't have to keep buying them. Anyone?

  • Just let it flowers (don't cut it) and harvest the seeds. I haven't try it but my guess is you will need many planters to have a reasonable harvest. Grow it like a plant with lots of dirt 4 or more inches and just cut the green part and let it grow again and again...

  • thank you for posting these vids :)

months ago i looked into wheatgrass (didn't even knew it existed lol)

i found your vids and faved it.

last week i watched them again. i ordered my manual juicer and seeds and the powder.

started soaking its 12pm so while im up at 12am i can check on them. i have very good tap water i see you used a gallon is that just for the vid? or does your tab water not good?

im very new to this "healthy stuff" hahaha, but i see myself changing lil by lil with information

  • wear gloves lady

  • I would if I was preparing it commercially, but since it's just for me and the video camera - gloves are totally unnecessary.

  • i soaked my wheat seeds overnight last night and i dont have any sprouts. what gives?

  • try using ocean'sgrown oceansolution!

  • 0:05 WTF was that sound?

  • It was her saying hi...

  • hoho the shaker is a good idea. applicable for general purpose :)

  • how many harvests do you get from each tray?

  • You're a natural! Question: what happens if you let the grass grow back and juice it again? Does the nutritional content get completely sapped after the first growth?

  • They say the best juice is in the first peak growth. When it was first grown for poultry testing it was grown full hight but the climate was cold also. I would imagine the soil would have less nutrition on the second go as the roots get everywhere in the first growth.

  • Bear in mind that Azomite contains lead and arsenic.

  • not to mention al qaeda

  • wow, you look beautiful! also, thanks for the tips. i live in a humid climate, so hopefully i don't grow mold

  • I think lemon juice helps with mould but you'd have to Goggle it. I just cut above it.

  • why did my wheat grass become red???!??

  • hi, may i know where do you buy your wheatgrass seeds? thank you.

  • Hi,

Thank you for the great video.

What is the size of your tray?

    Thank you,

    Toto

  • how it it possible to leave it in the indirect sunlight for 7-10 days? what if you live somewhere where it rains all the time and there is no sunlight?

  • same

  • @yellowday101 A rainy day would be indirect sunlight silly.

  • Places that grow it commercially grow it outside in a field and I often put mine out in the day to catch the sun. If put outside constantly it goes darker green. Remember that it's the chlorophyll (which is like haemoglobin in blood) which is the power house behind this juice.

  • What is your website?

  • Janea,

I live in Utah also, where can I get Azamite?

Love your thorough instructions on wheatgrass!! I'm gonna try it, wish me luck ;)

    ~ Annie

  • Is that a Berkey Water Filter in the corner?

  • are you in that poster in the background?

  • I'm so glad that there are still good folks around that arent afraid to share vital information...You Go Girl..!! Illuminati can go eat (HORSE SPOILED GRASS).!!!!

  • that was very well done and informative...thank-you for taking the time in your day to share this information for better health...you should possibly add...humans cannot diguist the fiber of wheat grass and perhaps an added video or two on juicing...thank-you for your thoughtfulness

  • do u know and good juicer got a manual one was v. disappointed.

  • @Lori074 which manual juicer did you get? the z-star and hurricane juicers seem to have good reviews

  • where can I get wheat grass seeds??

  • feed store probably

  • any garden centers, i got mine from diaks

  • hi yeah loved your video used it for growing my wheatgrass 2.. only problem is i have a manual juicer only a little bit of juice comes out and i use loads of grass almost half a small tray is this normal?? thanks

  • great video, i consistently refer to it for assistance! thanks!

  • Your slight nervousness of the camera is really endearing. CUTE

  • This is the best instruction on growing wheatgrass I've seen by far. What is your website address?

  • tell us how you feel now since you start taking wheatgrass?

  • Not much public feedback here so I'll answer your question. It makes my skin and hair softer, my skin takes on a nice glow (I'm a smoker) and colours seems more vivid. Hope this helps....

  • Anecdotal evidence at best.

  • Try it and see. Then come back with your own findings;-)

  • I have and all I got was a sore stomach. I used it for 3 months straight, no difference.

  • Strange, I've never had that reaction.Quite the reverse. Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you.

  • my boss hands had tons of warts, and he used this stuff and all the warts died, it definatly helps the skin!!

  • They say it works against acidic blood so this may be the reason as many symptoms are just reactions to to a bad diet. Raw food is good for health as you get many of the enzymes that are destroyed by heating. Cancer is also be said to cured by wheatgrass for these reasons.

  • Fearzero, just Googled your issues with wheatgrass and it's suggested that it may be the effects of detox. I've had bad headaches in the past after MSM but they soon pass.

  • what is your webiste?

  • does sea salt work? I love the realsalt from redmond. Is the mold a big problem? Great info thank you, Im going to continue research this stuff is healthy and I actually like the taste, tried it at jamba juice but Im not sure if its organic.

  • where do you get your seeds?

  • You could also water you wheat grass or any other sprouts (sunflower, peas, buckwheat, kamut, ect) with diluted ocean water. It's know to contain 90+ elements(minerals)and even some friendly soil microorganisms for plants. To water your wheat grass you can make a mixture of 100 parts water to 1 part ocean water.

  • excellent idea.

  • How do you get wheatgrass to stay green for decoration on a tv stand or does the wheatgrass ever start to die?

  • I did not understand either what kind of powder was that to prevent mold

  • how do u keep the mold away?

  • you can reuse the soil right. there must be someway to recycle it over and over rather than buying new soil every few rounds. maybe by rotating it with lentils

  • If you want to compost the soil and roots of the wheat grass, you can eventually reuse it. It takes awhile though. I put mine in a pile in the garden, wait for it to break down and mix it in with the soil.... I'm sure this is not the only way to do it though.
